Happy Musings Thursday my friends! I’m back with another musings post for you. The Fall Events have ended (THOH and Thanksgiving) and the Winter Events will be arriving soon (Snow!), which means it’s time to do a combo musings post to wrap up the two Fall events. So, I’ve got some thoughts, let’s get to ’em…
Just a reminder that the THOH XXXI Event Ends TOMORROW November 18th.
Now that November is more than halfway over I guess it’s time to end Halloween…
As far as questlines go, what’s happened in the past is that the current prize you’re working on (on any questline) you were able to finish. Once that current prize was completed then the questline disappeared.
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
Time for another fun and exciting event prize post! And of course, with this theme, everything is Hellish! Act 4 consists of 2 new decorations, 1 new building (that looks like a decoration), 1 new character group, and one new character.

It’s everyone’s (well almost everyone’s) favorite time in TSTO, the annual Treehouse of Horror Event! Yes, Halloween in Springfield has always been big deal in TSTO and this year is no exception! Also always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
The 2020 THOH Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Act 4 we’re tasked with collecting Spoooky Beakers (even if they don’t look like beakers)! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the third part of the story. So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 4 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for The Hell of the Class…
Who’s ready for the final hellish chapter? Act 4 of the THOH XXXI Event has arrived!
Remember, this is the FINAL Act of THOH. Act 4, and all other ends, end on November 18th. So finish out the event before then to earn all of the prizes.
Things kick off for Act 4 with some dialogue between the kids of Bart, Homer and Lisa…
Homer: And therefore, if Lisa passes Science, we are all Hell-free! Lisafer: Dad, no! That’s backwards. Didn’t Old Scratch go over the deal with you? Old Scratch: I ruined my entire Sunday going over it with him. That’s my day of rest too, you know. Lisafer: Ugh! Bart, I need you to keep Dad off my back so he doesn’t give me any more “help”. Beelzebart: Can do. I have some father-son bonding in mind.
This triggers the Act 4 questline, The Hell of the Class,and is followed by a 1hr task for Lisa and a 3hr tasks for Bart and Homer, as well as a task to collect Act 4 Currency (125). The Hell of the Class is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 4…
Well, spending actual cash on donuts for a character is back in TSTO, well it’s a costume this time. This is something EA’s been rolling out over the last few years, and it’s a new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them) Where they attach a premium, limited-time, character to one of the donut bundles in addition to bonus donuts.
This time around we’re being offered Donut Homer, a premium costume (NOT a character), for a tray of 132 Donuts ($9.99 in the US)..no bonus this time around. While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of Donut Homer, his tasks, questline and other details you may be curious about.
So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy….
I am really cracking up with some of the dialogue in this update. It is pretty funny, and frankly a bit “Hell lite,” compared to what they could be doing. I mean, hell…even as a concept…is pretty damn scary!
The great thing about Hell, is that for you to believe in Hell, you pretty much have to believe in the afterlife. Even that is a complicated thing, when you start trying to bring different concepts from different religions into the conversation. And you really do need to do that. But, trying to settle on a common theme can be a bit of Hell itself.
In fact…right away, I had some fun with “Ned Flanders Personal Hell,” when I won it. I found it irresistible to place it in the one place that would actually really be Hell for Ned…
