New Update: Summer Games (200th Update for Tapped Out)!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, it’s Friday afternoon and Alissa is busy at work,…so of course EA is going to choose now to drop the new mini-event update!  Yes, an all-new mini-event has hit our games, so let’s check out what’s in store for us this time…

It’s almost time for the 2020 Summer Olympics, so why not have a Summer Olympic Event!  Remember to download the app store update if you haven’t already done so.  You won’t see this mini-event until you’ve downloaded the update.  And if you don’t see the update available try these steps:  Hard close your App store, clear your cache, restart your device.  When it reboots, open your app store and search Tapped Out.

What’s included with this event?  Let’s take a look….

The event starts with some funny dialogue from Mayor Quimby, Miss Springfield, and Kent Brockman discussing the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Note: You’ll need Mayor Quimby free for a one hour task to kick things off.

Where Did THAT Come From – L.T. Smash & Party Posse Stuff

Safi here, giving Wookiee a hand with these WDTCF. With WDTCF being a staple of TSTO Addicts, I’ll try to keep as true to the format as possible (by which I mean I’ll copy and paste one of Wookiee’s posts and just change the necessary info). Hope I make the Wookster proud. Enjoy:

 

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

 

To quote NSync and Backstreet Boys: ‘Here We Go’, ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’ doing the WDTCF again with ‘No Strings Attached’. I’m going to give ‘All I Have to Give’ as ‘Everybody’ in this episode is ‘Larger than Life’.

It’s time for one of my favorite parts of being a reader here at this amazing site. That’s right… new stuff for us to talk about just WHERE it all comes from in the Best. Show. Ever. I’m always a fan of new things even though a lot of the coolest things cost precious sprinklies. The 2017 Homerpalooza Event started with a bang (literally with a free cannon) and then went full Rock, and then Pop. And when you think of Pop, you have to think of the King of Pop, none other than the late great Michael Jackson. It’s my privilege to get to writing about the origins for The Simpsons version of MJ on behalf of Wookiee. It’s always a pleasure to re-watch episodes of the Best. Show. Ever. For this round of origins, we’ll be taking a look at L.T. Smash, Classified Records, the Party Posse, the concert lights, and the Stage Turret:

It’s “Insane in the membrane, Insane in the brain!” time here in all of our tiny tappable towns and this sane (my mother had me tested) Super Safi could not be more thrilled.

Homerpalooza Update Is Live! (Updated and Complete)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…better late than never right?  We’ve got our major event update…and it’s about time!

This time we’re (as suspected) going Musical!

Note: At the moment this is only live on Android…. on iOS and Android now

I just got home from work and have a Tiny Addict to feed and get to bed.  So i’ll be back with more info later tonight..but for now, remember this is an APP STORE update, which means you have to go into the app store to download it.  If you don’t see it, search Tapped Out and see if the update is available.

Also, things get started with some auto dialogue, followed by a 6s task for Lisa.  This will be followed by another 6s task for Lisa, which is followed by a task to build the Rock Stage (Free) and a 10s task for Homer. This will trigger SOME of the event stuff…

Back with more later on tonight… Ok the Tiny Addict is in bed, I’ve reviewed the files, converted over 5,000 images (yikes!) and have everything ready to go.  More details below the fold…

Act 1 Ends/Act 2 Starts August 15th
Event Ends September 12th
