Where Did That Come From? – Act I Almost Everything From One Place…Itchy Scratchy Land

This is one of those events, where at least for Act I, it is almost easier to write about what ISN’T from one episode of the Simpsons. But, if we are going to stay true to form, I’ll just list all of the things that ARE from this single episode.

  • Itchy’s Mine Field
  • Itchy & Scratchy Helicopter
  • Roger Meyers Sr. Statue
  • Itchy & Scratchy Banner
  • Itchy & Scratchy Land Ticket Booth
  • Itchy Parking Lot, Scratchy Parking Lot
  • Nurse’s Station
  • Itchy and Scratchy Land Gate

Got it?  So…really…the only things from Itchy and Scratchy Land from Act I, that AREN’T in this episode, are…well…Diane. That’s it. Just Diane.

So which episode is it?  (drum roll please…)

Where Did THAT Come From – Water Baron Burns, Pita, Peta, Battle Dome, Bagpipe Bus, and Hans Mechman!

Safi here, giving Wookiee a hand with these WDTCF. With WDTCF being a staple of TSTO Addicts, I’ll try to keep as true to the format as possible (by which I mean I’ll copy and paste one of Wookiee’s posts and just change the necessary info). Hope I make the Wookster proud. Enjoy:

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

It’s Bart Royale time here in all of our tiny tappable towns and this cute thief named Super Safi who’s always stealing the ladies hearts, could not be more thrilled to have a cute thief join our Springfields.

It’s time for one of my favorite parts of being a reader here at this amazing site. That’s right… new stuff for us to talk about just WHERE it all comes from in the Best. Show. Ever. I’m always a fan of new things even though a lot of the coolest things cost precious sprinklies. The 2018 Bart Royale Event started with a battle between the kids and adults of Springfield. And when you think of battling between kids and adults, you may think of The Hunger Games. And when you think of The Hunger Games in Springfield, you think of THOH XXVII. It’s always a pleasure to re-watch episodes of the Best. Show. Ever. For this round of origins, we’ll be taking a look at many of the event items that come from THOH XXVII, segment 1 – Dry Hard:

The 2017 Homerpalooza Event started with a bang (literally with a free cannon) and then went full Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop. But when you think of music and the Simpsons, most people don’t go to Rock, Pop or Hip Hop first, but as the original Bracket Battle showed, we tend to go to Jazz. And when you think of Jazz, you have to think of the Jazzman, none other than the late great Bleeding Gums Murphy. It’s my privilege to get to writing about the origins for The Simpsons version of BGM on behalf of Wookiee. It’s always a pleasure to re-watch episodes of the Best. Show. Ever. To quote NSync and Backstreet Boys: ‘Here We Go’, ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’ doing the WDTCF again with ‘No Strings Attached’. I’m going to give ‘All I Have to Give’ as ‘Everybody’ in this episode is ‘Larger than Life’.

Where Did That Come From- County Fair Edition – Apocalypse Cow with Mary Spuckler

OK… so after talking with Alissa, it seems my first attempt at the WDTCF for this mini-event fell short.  Her words were, to this effect…”we need to show more pics from the actual episode…people like that…and if you don’t, they will scream.”

I’m not sure how many of you will actually scream…but, I’m not willing to take the chance.  Besides…I LOVE this episode (S19, E17 ).  It is absolutely loaded with great gags, and is the first time Bart meets Mary Wrestlemania Spuckler, who continues to be in his life for several more episodes.  Voiced by Zoey Deschanel, who is just cute beyond words in real life, Mary is the only really smart Spuckler (as we’ll see), and has a huge part in saving Bart’s cow (that’s right…Bart actually “has a cow”) in this episode.

Let’s take a look at the details…and figure out WHERE Mary Spuckler, The Chedderbarrel Farm and Chedderbarrel Combine (and maybe the County Fair sign) come from…
