Building Bumper Cars in Krustyland

So… maybe you have visited a fellow tapperinos Krustland recently and noticed they have a ride you can’t find in your inventory.  What ride might that be?  Well, it is Krusty’s Broken Koaster Kars and is a creation by some of the Addicts who play TSTO.  I’m not sure where I first saw this idea, but because of my forgetfulness (and knowing full well how creative he is), I give credit to Shelfcleaner.  Here’s his version.

No matter where I first saw the image, I knew I had to have one of my own.  Here was my first stab at it.

1

So I think of my bumper cars as the KKK ride and no, the KKK does not mean I’m racist lol.  It has to do with the name I gave the ride (see first paragraph) and is also a result of this image.

Recently, I finally got the Krustyland hotel and decided I would like to place it where the KKK was.  This meant a ride relocation (if only it was as easy as the other rides) so I decided to show through pictures how to build your very own bumper cars area in your Krustyland.

First step was to move the rubbish I had used for the KKK and to clear out my old ride’s fencing.

Next, the KL hotel found its new home requiring the movement of some things.

Now I had to find a piece of real estate for the new ride and chose a spot near my Death Drop.  The right portion of my KL is sort of a themed Krusty area and I felt the KKK would fit nicely.  After finding a suitable area, I put in some paths to start off.  To make a decent KKK, you probably need at least one square of KL to do it btw.

Next, I had to create the ride boundaries using fencing.  At 10 tickets a pop, these are the least expensive decorations and can really add a special something to your KL.  Just make sure you have enough before starting to avoid frustration.

Next step was adding a second and third layer to the fencing.  During this, I ended up moving the ride entrance and adding an exit (I’m a stickler for detail).  This can be a little tricky but just have fun with it and if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.

No ride would be complete without a line for it so I continued with that portion of the KKK.

The last step is to fill the ride with at least some of the cars.  (Nerd note: these are actually the same as the cars from the Tooth Chipper on the Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios!)  I chose to keep my previous theme from the KKK.

Creating new rides in your Krustyland is really only limited to your imagination and the materials available.  I’ve posted yet another cool ride created by Shelf Cleaner below.  Hope you enjoyed this and I really hope to see some more cool things like this from the community.  Happy tapa-tapa-tapping Addicts!

  1. Where do u get the bumper cars from?

    • Hi John,
They’re one of the “trash” items in Krustyland. Just don’t let Homer or Lisa pick up trash in Krustyland & you should be all set.

  2. Coolest. Idea. Ever.
