UPDATE FROM BUNNY 4-22-14 3PM EST:
I was on the phone with EA for a while asking a million questions. They are all on high alert with the Basket issues, egg issues, etc. They have been working round the clock to locate and fix the cause of the issues and to get an update to resolve it out as fast as they can. No word yet on the Updates day of release, just that this is priority there right now as it is impacting so many and preventing game play.
So in short, hang in there…they are working on it. No word as of yet if this will bring a time extension or how they will handle that part of it. I will let you know if I hear anything more on the matter. And of course we will be here to let you know when the update arrives.

A few of you are reporting problems with your Easter Baskets…you put them out for friends to leave you eggs and they do…but not long after to start to notice the eggs have disappeared!
If this is happening to you, don’t panic. This is a KNOWN glitch in the game and EA is currently working on fixing it. We are suggesting if you’re having problems with your baskets that you post your info on this thread from the EA website:

We also suggest that you contact EA directly to let them know you’re having the issue. One of our readers inkans is having the same issue and contacted EA. They left this in the comments:

UPDATE FROM BUNNY: Seems people are also missing the “Thank You” Screen in their neighbor towns as they tap on through (Freak Glitch.Lol). Another “known” issue that EA has reports on. My suggestion is to contact them. I did not see a thread in the help desk forum as of yet, your are always welcome to start one. The same advisors that help you via chat and email are on the help forum too.

I posted this in another topic, but thought it should go here with the glitches since it could affect players earning eggs through the event.
The characters who have egg related tasks usually have that task at the top of their list and it defaults to that when you’re selecting tasks for them. Nelsons egg task does NOT do this in my games. It appears down in his normal task list in the place where his normal 16 hour task is. Make sure you look for the egg task there so you don’t accidentally sent him on non-egg related tasks like I did this morning!

That’s not even remotely true as far as who we amassed questions from. Today is a holiday so we’re taking the day too spend some time with our families, as we posted about here . I’m occasionally popping in to push through add me requests. But your previous comment deserves a little more attention than I can give it in the 5 minutes I can push comments through while waiting for dinner at my in-laws. We will get to it, most likely tonight, I promise. 🙂

My neighbours are unable to fill my baskets even though they look completely empty to me. Contacted EA about it, hopefully it can be solved.

I left message with ea they said would respond in 48 hours, they did, said can’t help you from here waited 48 hours for that ;( my issue is when I go into neighbors towns I don’t always get credit for eggs, this is also happening in my town now. It’s random sometimes I get them sometimes not, very frustrated.

Hi Alissa have left all details on ea their only response is they don’t monitor that site. Opened another prob # today I’m not holding out much hope. This used to be where I escaped from the world my happy place now I’m just sad I put so much time into my town. I know this is not your fault and appreciate you responding.
I hate walking away after I put so much into this. I don’t play computer games TSTO was only one! Also spent money I saved for on donuts I’m not a rich person!
It’s interesting because that’s where they’re directing everyone…even when you call phone support. Where did they give you that response? On the forum or in an email?
In two emails. I got info on phone message to do following…….I did 48 hours later received email, so resent it again & instant reply with new prob # & message they will b in touch in 48 hours that makes three of those messages. Now my egg machine isn’t even leaving eggs so over last two days total of less then 600 all color combined eggs from all avenues of generation! ARGH!!!

I can see eggs in my basket, and i dont even know how to get them out in the first place. If I tap on the basket it makes a short bleep and nothing else happens. What do I do?
You need to wait til you see 4 eggs (each equals 100) then an egg icon will appear above it for you to collect them. Hope this helps out.

I’m not sure how some people are getting instant responses from ea, like getting their glitch resolved by getting donuts and their eggs reimbursed. When I contacted them via the method posted I chatted with the game advisor and he forwarded me to an unrelated forum where he insisted it was a developer issue and by posting on the forum they would be notified to resolve it. Then he closed the case. I had to find the appropriate forum to post about the glitch (which was posted on this post) and still no action has been taken despite the numerous people who have now posted the same issue. So for the people getting seemingly immediate help and resolution, did you speak to them on the phone, chat online or what method did you use?
It all depends. The forum is to help them see the trends of what issue is, how many effected, devices involved, etc. I have used the chat feature many of times. It is just a matter if it is available or not at the time you contact them. Keep trying if you’d like. Every player and device issue may not be the same. If you see the option to chat or call…use those instead of email if you can
Would you happen to know of any instance where a user uninstalled and reinstalled their game and it fixed the glitch without causing additional harm to the progress of the game? This was suggested to me by the second time I contacted ea- I’m feeling that the guys I talked to on the online chat don’t really know what’s going on and give you standard responses for any issue. I’m not sure if I’m willing to do that as I feel it could cause more problems by losing things like donuts or other data.
Yes, personally I’ve done it several times. As long as you have your game saved on Origin you should be able to restore it right back to where you left it. If possible try to logout of the game via the neighbors screen before you uninstall the game. (Bart and Milhouse icon, Logout of Origin) This will ensure every last second of progress you made is saved and it should help you avoid the “your other game didn’t save box”.

Contacted ea third time around after un/reinstall. Still no success but was assured they are working on an update to fix the glitch. Got reimbursed 15 donuts (even though I had two baskets that were frozen that equal 20 donuts) but was grateful for something as anything is better than nothing! They couldn’t tell me when or how the update would come about (ie. Automatic or store) or whether the event would be extended because of the glitch. They just said to keep an eye out on the forums. Time to exercise patience!
I know they’re working on it…and it’s high priority right now. Hopefully not much more in the patience department will be needed! 🙂
The real problem they need to fix is the “crash every few minutes” problem. With as many friends I have it takes up to 30 min – and hour to get through them all due to the game “unexpectedly stopping” so much. It’s been happening for over a month why haven’t they fixed the problem is anyone else having this problem note3
Please contact them and open a help ticket. When I spoke to them the other night, they said there are too many causes of the issue that its easier for them to address it case by case as it varies by the player and their device. So if you havent, please contact them and let them know.
I’m missing the “Thank You” screen maybe half of the time when I go through friends. The 25 XP is the only thing I’m missing out on, right?
Either way, I’m opening a case with EA. There could be free donuts involved “for my troubles.”

25 XP can translate into donuts when you are in the Bonus XP level once you max out.
You getting any donuts? I only got one and that was before the baskets came into play…I want my XP and my bonus donuts!!!

I got another glitch. I had a pink basket in my inventory and it just disappeared overnight. I checked, and did not accidentally put it out. But it looks as though I gained a newspaper dispenser..?
Hm that’s an odd one. Make sure you report it to EA via the forum above so they can look into it and see if they’re related.
I reported it, and as of 11:00 pm EST, my newspaper dispenser is gone, and my pink basket is back. I’m not crazy!! (Well, except for bunnies and Easter eggs……mwa ha ha……)

Waaahhhh!!! I’m having both problems, but I’ve contacted EA. Thank you for clarifying that the baskets are supposed to disappear. I thought I hallucinated having one after it was gone!!!
I just won a basket, placed it and it was already full, so I could collect my 400 eggs. Pretty strange, still much better than no baskets at all.
But with no baskets we could drop eggs one by one on our friends towns… 🙂
so it seems to me that there are at least two different basket issues; the disappearing egg glitch (which I haven’t experienced) and the unreceptive basket glitch (which I reported on the EA help thread):
“I love the update, but my TSTO friend and I cannot use our baskets to help each other. When my daughter (dananotdayna856) tries to leave eggs in the baskets in my Springfield (dananotday812), the baskets do not have a swap icon above them and they won’t receive eggs. The same thing happens when I try to leave eggs in her Springfield. In both cases, the basket locator button is visible in the upper right corner of the screen, but the baskets themselves are not working. From both of these accounts, eggs have been successfully left in other neighbors’ baskets. But dananotdayna856 and dananotdayna812 cannot swap eggs with each other. In both cases, we have more than enough eggs that we ought to be able to swap.
Are there some sort of parameters or requirements that have to be met for the swap icon to activate over the baskets? Is there any reason an empty basket would not have the pink->blue or blue->pink icon floating above it?”
All you need…if it is functioning…is to have at least 100 eggs to give them that match the basket color. In other words, if pink shows first on the swap icon over the basket…you need 100 of YOUR pink eggs to put in there. If there is no icon, it is full…or glitching and you can’t add anything to it.
If you stumble on a blue egg icon first and have less than 100 blue eggs, you cant put any eggs in.

Bunny, can you guys verify something for me? Do you get the egg swap icon for baskets where you do not have enough of that color to make a swap? I have noticed that when I visit neighbors who have an apparently open basket (e.g. there are less than four egg showing in it) I do not see a swap icon if my egg count for that color is under 100.
I noticed this on several neighbors. My pink egg count is 47 and blue is 432. Any open pink baskets do not have a swap icon over them, but blue baskets do have the icon. If it’s a town that only has pink baskets out, then there is also no swap ‘alert’ icon in the upper right corner. Do you think this is normal or is it a glitch?
Everything seemed to be working fine earlier today and yesterday when my egg counts were both well over 400. So now I’m wondering if the icons just don’t show up if you’re not able to actually do a swap for that color. Any insight the Addicts could provide would be helpful. Thanks!
I notice it too as I am bouncing through. If you have none or not enough to give, it wont give you an option at all. My only issue is them being TOO close to buildings or each other, I have “accidentally” tapped on baskets many times now and shared eggs. So just be careful too. 😉
so, striving for brevity: I opened a ticket and chatted with EA. essentially I have two useless baskets – I’m deeming them “unreceptive” – in one SP and one dud in my other SP. The rep gave me donuts and 500 eggs in one of the towns, but after I removed TSTO from my kindle and reinstalled as per instructions, those extras had disappeared. The account that had gotten the freebies was regressed a level. I’m back to where I should be now, but the unreceptive basket is still sitting in that SF. Over in my other town, no regression (whew!) but my inventory had two blue baskets I don’t remember being there. So I moved my unreceptive baskets (pink&blue) and placed the “new” blue baskets in my Easter park. These new ones work. I was able to swap eggs from town B into the new ones in town A.
I don’t know whether those working baskets were ones I had gleaned from bunnies or if the rep put them in my inventory (she didn’t say she was giving me new baskets, and the town they appeared in the not the one she was adding donuts and eggs to. It’s all very convoluted. But that’s the story.
Sounds like you got somewhere with the results…but had a hiccup installing. Try restarting again and see if those extras come back, if not…you can always go to help.ea.com/my-cases and reopen your case (you can see a list of all you created with them there as long as you used your Origin ID to log the issue). Make sure you get all that they promised you and gave to you. You deserve it! 🙂
As for the baskets. They are small icons and blend easily as you get to tappin n zappin the bunnies. More so if you Zap and move on fast without seeing what is being gathered. Check your inventory now and then to see if you picked up a few without realizing.

I dont know if this is a glitch or really bad luck but ive been playing not stop since the beginning of the update and havent gotten any baskets from tapping
Others are seeing this too. It’s really random when it comes to the baskets out of bunnies. You might not see any until next week and then see 5 in a row. Give it at least a week of zapping and tapping and see if you get any 🙂
It does seem to be really random. In my A game on iPad I have received 6 baskets, but my B game on Android I have only received 2. Both of them are at the exact same point in this event so it does seem to be totally random if you get baskets or not.

My bunnies don’t seem to be regenerating at the normal rate! When I woke up this morning I expected my town to be overrun like it was yesterday AM, but I swear there were only about a dozen bunnies! I also noticed that occasionally my counter doesn’t register an egg. The bunny pops it out, I tap it, and…no change in my total. Not that big a deal, it doesn’t happen often, but darn it, I WANT MY EGGS!
Hmm the bunnies regenerate at a rate of 1 every 5 min, and max of 40 in your town. So your town should be full in just under 4 hrs. Are you sure they aren’t hiding? I know for me I sometimes think I got them all then hide buildings and decorations and find a ton more. 🙂
Thanks Alissa. I think a few were, but certainly not as many as there should’ve been. But now they seem to be back to normal, and procreating like, well, bunnies again. I guess it was some weird thing overnight, and my tablet’s been a little glitchy lately. And I know from experience that bunnies can’t be trusted to behave the way you expect them to! Except for Bunny,of course!

I’ve notice that if my neighbor has a basket out I will not get the “thank you” message but if they don’t have a basket out I will always get the message
Yes it seems those friends that have baskets you dont get the 25 XP, so if we all had baskets in our town, u have 100 neighbours, u lose 2500 XP per day. That is how we build to our free donuts 1, 2 or 3.
That is why we want everyone with issue to contact EA. In my freemium town…those extra donuts at the end of the bonus XP are awesome.
Are you sure you’re not getting the experience points? Because I noticed too that if a neighbor had an open basket it would collect all of the stuff but would never pop the thank you message. Once I noticed it, I specifically checked to verify my score for XP before entering a town with an open basket and then immediately afterwards and I DID receive the 25 XP even though I never got the thank you message.
Pre-town visit, my XP score was 2034 and post-town visit it was 2068. This adds up to the 9 XP I get for tapping three items (3 XP each) plus the 25 XP for completing that neighbor. So it may just be the glitch is not showing the thank you note, but IS giving you the appropriate XP. This is what’s happening to me during this event.
Similar to the FP max donut level issue. I was getting free donuts, but never saw the “donut icon”. Lol. Not until recently. That is why we ask people to check their stats and not just the pop ups. Compare, like you did, the before and afters. 🙂
The Thanks screen when visiting friends is happenening to me a lot. I noticed it happening in towns with egg baskets so I went over and randomly swapped eggs – I had to do it until the basket was full before it popped up with the Thanks screen! Needless to say I didn’t bother with any other town – just did my three tasks and left. I’m glad it’s a recognised glitch as I was racing around my neighbours towns trying to look for a left behind bit of cash or XP which I assumed I’d left uncollected. 😉
I spoke to an advisor. They said they would reset the basket so it can collect eggs again and I can’t tell if it’s worked (dunno why they couldn’t just give me the eggs it had already collected!) but they also gave me 10 donuts for the trouble so not bad

I bought the frink egg generator it looks so good in my science park, its generated twice but pink eggs…..does it generate the opposite colour to your main colour egg?
Depends on which one you bought. Easiest way to see is to click on the lil italic blue “i” next to it on Homer Buddha’s menu. It will tell you which one gives you your Player Color and which one gives you the opposite. For me, the MK1 gave me 75 of my color every 12 hours and the MK2 gave me 300 eggs of the opposite color every 24 hours.

I got 2 baskets in my B game that were DOA… They look cute sitting there, but they have no function…can’t leave any eggs in them. So at least I’m not loosing any, but I’m not getting any either…bummer!
And I’ve been busy tapping and have not gotten a basket for my A game, so who knows what kind of glitch that is.

Another possible glitch is not getting your “Thanks” screen and 25XP after tapping three eggs from a town having a basket…yes, I have waited beyond the normal length of time for all rewards to be gotten. Not really complaining about this, just sayn… 🙂

So far one other has this problem as well as my son…I feel it is because by not sharing eggs, I have left tapable floating icons…but what do I know…ok don’t answer that 🙂
Lol. As long as you clear your 3 taps and either collect the eggs, $$$, and XP or let the game do it…it should pop up. I am checking into as we speak. Testing it out on a few neighbors.
So odd. I tested this with both devices, both games in over 20 neighbors each (yours too). Both devices whether I tapped to collect my prizes or waited for the game to do it for me…had the “THANKS” pop up screen to collect my 25XP. Another random glitch?

It is supposed to give you the opposite of your player color. If you are unsure, you can put it in your inventory, go to your inventory and click the italic “i”. It will tell you exactly what color, how many, and how often for it. Or, just look in the menu under Homer Buddha. You can buy a ton of them, so it is there to buy more too. Just tap on italic “i” there as well and all the information will pop up for you.
If it says it is supposed to give you blue in the information area, contact EA right away if you got pink instead. Just make sure you look at the right one. Let me know if that helps.

Never mind, I found it in my inventory.
That is good. Once you place it in your game, it is there to stay until it is filled. Then once filled and the lil egg icon pops up…you tap on it and that basket is gone forever. One time use.
You collect them as you tap on bunnies and sometimes may not even realize you get one. So check your inventory now and then to see if one did in fact appear. 😉
Well no glitch here but i have gotten another 100 gold, another pond and a few donuts by visiting!! i do hope the glitch is fixed soon for the zappers having issues! 🙂
