Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out! This week’s post comes to us from one of our favorite Addicts, and frequent commenter, CGuy! It’s CGuy’s hilarious “on the scene” reports had us cracking up around the Christmas update, and he was at it again this Easter! This time with a battlefield twist…
He had many of us cracking up with his daily report from the “Easter Front”, so if you missed any of his hilarious recaps here’s your chance to catch up! Enjoy it Tappers I know it still has me cracking up…
5/6 0853: Cguy hear, reporting from the Easter Front. It’s D-7 (7 days before D-Day, the end of the Bunny Invasion). Interesting side note, the D in D-Day stands for…. Day! Day-Day! Gotta love the creative military mind.
Our brave forces are preparing for the end of the Bunny Invasion, collecting supplies as best they can, although all the forces of Nature and EA seem to be against them.Continue reading →
Well, here we are on the morning of the end of the Easter Event. Will it finally be over today? Or will EA extend it, with out letting anyone know? Will the items be up for sale after the event is over? Only EA knows the answers…but we should all know in a few hours.
In the meantime…have you been following the advice for the end of Easter? Are you ready for what comes next? Or do you still want to stay in Easter mode for a bit longer? Have you made one last push to get those last eggs and see if you’ve won what you most wanted? Or have you completely given up? And the final, and most important question, did you break down and spend donuts in the 11th hour?
When I last left off my Eggs-perience tale I had detailed my adventures in egg-getting during this Easter Event, and broke down the struggle I was having between the Completest in me and the stubborn side…who did not want to spend a single donut on eggs. The Stubborn side was winning…up until yesterday morning, when the Completest took charge. I managed to acquire all of the items, while spending a few donuts, except for the one I coveted the most….Father Sean. Which is ironic because pretty sure the 10 Commandments say “thou shall not covet thy neighbor”. But as a Catholic AND a Completest how could I not covet Father Sean?!
I left it yesterday morning with the stubborn side regaining control, and the refusal to spend anymore donuts on eggs….for now. So what did I do? How did I fare in the final hours? With just 11 Gold Boxes till the magic guarantee number, would I break down and spend just a few more donuts? Let’s see who won in the end the Completest or the stubborn one….
It’s Springtime in Springfield! And with it comes a new botanical creation to brighten up your town! Now I know you may be confused if you should purchase this stinky smelling flower, but, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Sumatran Century Flower to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this decoration to YOUR Springfield.
Well…the end is near! Tomorrow (May 13th) the Easter Event will officially end and the bunnies will burrow back into the ground, with no return in site. (Don’t worry our own Bunny will reemerge from the Basement still!) As of right now, we see no signs of this event being extended. In the past, if an event was going to be extended, EA would make an announcement several days before it was initially scheduled to end. As of now, no announcement & no changes to the files. So I think it’s a safe bet to assume Easter will be gone tomorrow.
As far as the Easter items becoming available after the event…we don’t know if this will or won’t happen. It’s possible, given what happened after Whacking Day last year, BUT based on the majority of past Events this won’t happen. At this point I’d say it’s a 60-40 against.
So beyond the items what else do you need to know for the end of the Easter Event? Let’s take a look at some of the steps you should know to finish out the event and get ready for some kind of update.
Well the Easter Event is scheduled to end tomorrow. As of right now we see no signs of it being extended. That being said, there’s still a chance EA can extend it. We never quite know what they have up their sleeves. So if you’re trying to hold out for the last possible second, do so. It’s still possible they can announce something tomorrow, you never know with EA.
So now I thought with just under 1 day left to go in the Easter Event I’d share with you my final tally for what I won during the Easter Event. Now, I know not everyone will have a similar experience as mine. Some might have fared better, others might have done worse. The beauty of this event is…no two games are alike. Everyone has done different Tapping methods to earn their boxes, and the results are usually different.
Now if you have some thoughts on the event as a whole, we encourage you to participate in our Ultimate Easter Poll to give us, and the community here at Addicts, feedback on what you’ve won, how you won it & the Easter Event as a whole.
Now let’s break down how the completest in me struggled against my stubborn Italian side MORE times than not during Easter 2014…
So we’re 3 weeks in from the start of the bunny invasion, with 1 more week to go…we’re in the home stretch! Now that everyone is busy tapping and zapping I want to know…what have YOU won so far? It was great having everyone share their results after week 1 and week 2 that we thought we’d check in with everyone and see how their doing after week 3!
Here’s where I currently am in my A town after 3 weeks of bunny catching:
Note: In my A town I’m playing as freemium as I can get with this event. I have not purchased a single Egg. The only purchase I’ve made at this point was for the MKII and that’s been more a test to see if I experience the same glitch a few of you are mentioning (where it gives you your dominant color instead of your non-dominant color). Beyond that not 1 item has been purchased. All baskets have been won and all Eggs have been tapped or zapped. I am growing carrots and using Witch Marge…so I earn about 10-13 eggs/2 hrs with that (when I remember to go in and tap it!). Also…I am NOT maxed out on friends. I currently have 75 neighbors.
I’m Team Pink in my A game… Pink Boxes: Fence, 100 gold eggs, fence, 100 gold eggs, fence, fence, tree, 100 gold eggs, umbrella and towel, 100 gold eggs, fence, 100 gold eggs, Chirpy and Bart Jr, umbrella and towel, 100 gold eggs, fence, 100 gold eggs, Blocko Store Completed this in week 1. STOPPED PLAYING PINK BOX. (converting all pink eggs to blue)
For those not wanting to count…I won Chirpy and Bart Jr on attempt #13 and Blocko Store on attempt #18. Ended up with 6 Fences (18 total towards Sucking Out quest), 700 Gold Eggs, 1 Easter Tree and 2 Umbrella and Towels. So…I’ve now stopped attempting on pink since I’ve unlocked both items and am converting pink eggs to blue.
In the Blue Box I won the Egg Council Guy on my 14th attempt. 39 attempts and still no Johnny Fiestas though.
In the Gold Box I got lucky and won Hugs on my second attempt & Banana Dictatorship on my 5th! And won Bunny 24601 on my 9th attempt. 11 Gold tries and still have Fr. Sean and Shary to get in Gold.
Overall haul includes:
2 Kodos
1 Kang
1 Easter tree
2 Towels and Umbrellas
5 Egg Piles
5 Ponds
1 Gate
14 Regular Fence Sets (42 total)
2 Sets Pastel Fence (4 total)
Egg Council Guy
Hugs Bunny
Chirpy and Bart Jr
Bunny 24601
Banana Dictatorship
Blocko Store
Still need:
Father Sean
Shary Bobbins
Johnny Fiestas
4 More Fences for Sucking Out Free Donuts
And I did win the Faberge Egg late over the weekend. (for reference sake, finished the main questline just shy of 2 weeks before winning the egg)
So now…what have YOU won? Sound off in the comments below with the prizes you’ve unlocked 3 weeks in!
Well the Easter update is upon us! Bunnies, bunnies, bunnies…they’re EVERYWHERE! But tapping those Bunnies helps to unlock prizes in the Easter Prize Boxes! One of the hardest prizes to win, and also the most sought after, is Shary Bobbins.
Shary is won through the Gold Prize box and once you’ve unlocked her you can either place her in Springfield or in your storage. Once she’s placed in Springfield her 5 part questline will begin…assuming you have Flanders free. So let’s take a look at just what a Spoon Full of Bitter does shall we?
Easter has arrived in Springfield! And with it comes two new alien Topiary decorations for your Springfield. Now I know you may be confused if you should purchase these alien creations, but, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Kodos and/or Kang Topiary to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding these decorations to YOUR Springfield.

So now…what have YOU won? Sound off in the comments below with the prizes you’ve unlocked 2 weeks in!
Well the Easter update is upon us! Bunnies, bunnies, bunnies…they’re EVERYWHERE! Speaking of Bunnies….now seems like the perfect time to Turbo Tap Hugs Bunny! (a character won in the Gold Prize Box)
For those of you who don’t know Turbo Tappin’ is our quick version of a walkthrough for the Level/Update/Character where we give you who starts the quest, the task and what you earn. This way you have your quick guide on who to keep free and when. This is great for our fellow Addicts who love to copy and paste the walkthrough into their device for quick reference.
Now on with the walkthrough! Hugs is won through the Gold Prize box and once you’ve unlocked him you can either place him in Springfield or in your storage. Once he’s placed in Springfield his 5 part questline will begin…assuming you have Homer free. So let’s take a look at the Last Temptation of Hugs shall we?
