UPDATE FROM BUNNY 4-22-14 3PM EST:
I was on the phone with EA for a while asking a million questions. They are all on high alert with the Basket issues, egg issues, etc. They have been working round the clock to locate and fix the cause of the issues and to get an update to resolve it out as fast as they can. No word yet on the Updates day of release, just that this is priority there right now as it is impacting so many and preventing game play.
So in short, hang in there…they are working on it. No word as of yet if this will bring a time extension or how they will handle that part of it. I will let you know if I hear anything more on the matter. And of course we will be here to let you know when the update arrives.

A few of you are reporting problems with your Easter Baskets…you put them out for friends to leave you eggs and they do…but not long after to start to notice the eggs have disappeared!
If this is happening to you, don’t panic. This is a KNOWN glitch in the game and EA is currently working on fixing it. We are suggesting if you’re having problems with your baskets that you post your info on this thread from the EA website:

We also suggest that you contact EA directly to let them know you’re having the issue. One of our readers inkans is having the same issue and contacted EA. They left this in the comments:

UPDATE FROM BUNNY: Seems people are also missing the “Thank You” Screen in their neighbor towns as they tap on through (Freak Glitch.Lol). Another “known” issue that EA has reports on. My suggestion is to contact them. I did not see a thread in the help desk forum as of yet, your are always welcome to start one. The same advisors that help you via chat and email are on the help forum too.

This may/may not be easter update related, but I always send Rex Banner on 24hr task so I can enjoy the nighthawk diners animations. Well tonight I logged on a little late, so I went to send him on his 12 hr stake out the kwik-e-mart. Its grayed out & says it requires the kwik-e-mart!! I’m not sure if I caused this, as during my redesign I sold one of my 2 kwik-e-marts 🙁 I tried storing Rex & I tried restarting app.
Hmm…is Apu still in your game? You may have sold the original Kwik e mart. Try storing the ones you have left and see if one of those stores Apu too. If so replace that one back out and see if it resets the task. If you ended up selling the original one you’ll have to rebuy it.

Well, I tried what you said and even re purchased a second kwik-e-mart. Still a no go 🙁 maybe I will try reinstalling the game later and see if that helps.
Received very offensive email from ea, specialist said mo glitches in Easter event perhaps I don’t know how to count eggs. Reached level 39 in two months so think I know how to play. Had previously been promised missing eggs would show up in my town. He said sorry but no eggs, EA has no control over missing eggs. Have been working. on this for quite sometime, they were just closing out problem as resolved till I contacted them again and got very nice advisor, the specialist however was down right insulting.
Just venting & you said don’t give up & let us know what happens.
Very sad & disappointed, if I didn’t love game & have your support would have walked away, also Easter event won’t last forever.

This really bothers me. Not on your part, not at all. But on EA’s part and that Customer Service person. No one should be treated with offensive behavior…especially if they’re in customer service.
I’ve had this sit for a little while because I was trying to see if I could get you a direct contact to report this too, unfortunately I can’t find the proper channels (Bunny is so much better at it, but she’s currently sick). So here’s what I suggest doing. Go to the EA help page and the contact us option. Select Report Cheating and Harassment. In the Tell us more option put in harassment by an EA customer service Rep. You should be given the option for Email. If you get this option….email EA. Say you want the email to go to a supervisor. Explain exactly what happened, copy and paste the email from the EA rep if need be, and demand that you have someone contact you via phone (a supervisor preferably) so that you can properly address the situation.
This to me is just downright wrong. It’s bad enough their customer service (at least the online chat option…the phone people are still very helpful) has gone completely downhill, but there is NO need for them to be insulting you.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading as it is widely known many problems with Easter event. Also known people are getting eggs from EA in compensation for missing eggs. I play so much thought it was no brainier to receive all Easter prizes. Now pretty sure this won’t happen!

Stuff like that just really ticks me off. It’s not something they should be doing to players of TSTO (or any game). A supervisor really needs to know about this, hopefully someone will call you. If not, and if Bunny is feeling better soon enough I’ll have her make one of her famous EA calls and see if she can dig up anything for you. 🙂 Just keep us posted as to what happens with EA, if anything.

My baskets are doing the same and so are a couple of my friends.
Is there any more news on this yet? I’ve got 3 baskets in my Springfield that were nearly full but then suddenly empty. I’ve then got another 2 that have never had any eggs in them and I’m not sure if they’re broken or something.
I hope they fix it soon as I have another 11 baskets in my inventory that I don’t want to put out yet in case they glitch out too 🙁
I’m not seeing anything just yet, but still doing a bit of checking through everything that came with this update. As soon as we see something we’ll let you know 🙂
I’ve installed the update and it doesn’t seem to have changed anything regarding the baskets. Really hope they get it sorted soon otherwise all the baskets I’ve collected will go to waste!
I hope they get it sorted too. I think they’re having difficulty isolating exactly what’s causing it, because it’s not a widespread issue. Not every game/town is impacted by it, so I think that’s causing them to scratch their heads a bit.
I’m hopeful it’ll get fixed soon. Either that or they just give everyone the prizes or extra eggs. I’m not a fan of them extending events, especially when this one will already be a month long.
Hmmm. Just logged in today and I’ve had a load of eggs randomly added to my count. I think about 400 pink and 700-800 blue, which seems roughly the same amount as I was missing. Although the empty dead baskets are still there, so I’m still cautious of placing the (now 14) extra baskets I have in my inventory.
I’ve had some people say this before. Did you report your original baskets to EA?
Yup. Via email. Although I never actually got the reply that I was promised on the website.

OK, so I just thought what the hell, I’ll just place all my baskets down and hope they don’t all glitch. The first pink basket I placed was immediately full! Like, as soon as I placed it! Not sure what that’s all about. It let me collect the eggs from it. Although I think there was only about 150 in it :-/
If that happens, click on your neighbors menu and then return to your game, it’ll bring you count to the 400 it should be. Even works if it looks like you got none.
You’re right. I turned it off for a bit but when I returned to the game just now there were another 200 eggs.
I still think its strange that they all appeared in a basket that I had just placed though.
Regarding the dead baskets, I assume this is referring to the many empty baskets that don’t have the floating egg exchange icon above them. My partner had one of these baskets that would not accept eggs. Using the move tool, she changed the location of the basket and it then accepted egg donations. Has anyone else tried this?
Still no fix for me. =( 13 baskets dead since almost the beginning of the Easter Update. And no new baskets since I finished the main quest line. Also no word from EA even though I contacted them and posted on their forum. This is getting really really frustrating.

Help! Has anyone else stopped receiving free Easter baskets once they finished the main Easter quest? And if so, was this planned or is it also a glitch? It really sucks to have to collect 1000 eggs for a try on the opposite color eggs/boxes, and that works only if I can find the right kind of baskets in another town to trade those eggs.
It’s all chance. I’ve gotten 7 total but went a week with none. Just got one a day ago after finishing the questline so I can verify it’s still possible. Some of my neighboreenos get tons, some none.
Yup, same problem here. No baskets, no Fabrege egg since I finished the quest 6 days ago.

I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. I thought my basket woes were behind me as well, but I just had a basket eat another couple hundred eggs today. *Sigh*…
Not fixed today i lost 300 eggs and my basked is dead again i tought it was fixed but no aargh and the frink machine stil gives me the wrong eggs
Not sure if the glitch is fixed but my faulty baskets all of a sudden were working when I got up this morning! There was one egg in one basket so I used my other game to fill them and it worked although the 200 egg count per basket problem occurs (but I knew how to fix it thanks to the addicts)! And my other game had faulty baskets that all of a sudden starting working too a few days ago even though I never reported it for that game.
A thought about the “missing” thank you screen: doesn’t the screen say “you did all you can for your neighbor”? I noticed that if there are unfilled baskets left, and I have enough eggs that would fit in them , the screen doesn’t appear. So that would be correct because only tapping 3 buildings is NOT all I can do here.
So I think this isn’t a glitch at all… what do you think?

Per EA when I spoke to them one of many times this event on phone “we are aware of the ‘Thank You’ glitch and working on a fix for it.” 😉
Today I find a dead/unreceptive basket in my B town now showing a floating swap icon, which must be working as the basket now has eggs (thanks, neighbors!). The dead baskets in my A town are still dead as ever, though. So I don’t know if anyone else has experienced spontaneous reanimation of dead baskets, but I thought I’d share – seems it *can* happen.
I’ve had a couple ‘zombie’ baskets now, too. I’m just really glad to be getting eggs in them again!
I’ve got what I need from my dominate color (pink) so I want to switch to collecting blue eggs, but I don’t have any blue baskets. I’ve only gotten 1 during the entire event. I am leaving eggs for my neighbors, but it would be nice to be one the receiving end as well. Do I need to put out my unused pink baskets to get some blue ones to drop? (Currently have 7 unsused) thoughts?
Put out what you got. If anything you can swap those ones. Lol

Just hopping in to update you on my problems with collecting eggs & EA, the only thing they have done, is open a new problem number, close out the old one as resolved. They have done this 4 times. Last night I get email thanking me for patience and as all problems are solved (NOT) they have closed as resolved & would I take a survey. You bet! They said to contact another advisor, I went to do that and there is message no advisors available Sat or Sun! I think monkeys could run customer service better.
Sorry. Not sure about that one. Please try again tomorrow and keep on them. I want to make sure they solve your issue as I’m sure you do too.
I contacted EA about the glitch where the “Thanks!” message doesn’t show up. Here is what they had to say:
“Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.I sincerely apologize for the extended period of time it has taken to respond to your case. Having gone through your case, it seems that you’re experience issue on collecting rewards by visiting friends Springfield. At times when the connectivity is poor you may not see the collected reward popup instantly as it takes some time to show on the screen. However, we have also noticed these issue also occurs due to long list of pending request. Please let me share that in Simpson Tapped Out game you can add maximum 100 Friends including pending request to your town. So please check if you have any long list of pending friends, then please remove those request in order to avoid such issues in further. Follow the below given steps to remove pending friends request:1) You can download Origin Client from here:https://www.origin.com/download2) Once the client is downloaded and installed, please login into it by using your TSTO account details. 3) Click on Friends option from the Menu bar available on the Left hand side on origin window. 4) There you’ll see list of pending request, please ignore the unwanted request. Having contacted them many times before, I know that this is a generic response given by a lower-level representative. I’m taking it to mean that they are not working on this issue because it’s not really important. Instead, they’re just handing out free donuts to anyone affected. But still, the glitch doesn’t really bother me that much, and free donuts!
So if anyone else is experiencing the “Thanks!” glitch, I’d suggest contacting EA. There are free donuts in it for you.
Lol. I know they’re working on it. Maybe a generic way to help those still waiting for resolve. I always encourage contact of EA for issues, mainly due to the possibility of compensation.
Some good points though on the too many friends thing. Funny part…I have over 400 pending requests and still got the thank you. Cleared them all to test it. Now the thank you only shows 1 in 5 friends. With or without baskets. Lol
I’m glad you got free donuts. Myself, I’m gonna keep pestering them on the issue. Lol.
I think I’m going to continue complaining that it still doesn’t work. I never had any pending requests in the first place, so that wasn’t the problem.
It’s not a very troublesome glitch, but when free donuts are involved, I’ll do whatever it takes.

So finally I have eggs in my baskets again and I opened up to see a 1000 eggs in my collection. I think they may have fixed the issue and credited my bank with the ones that I lost. Unsure if I only lost 1000. Bunny do you have room in your neighborooneys? If so can you add me I like the designs that you do!! Tap tap tap all day long… Zap zap zap till the break of dawn. Tappity tapitty zappity zappity. I think I am losing it only getting like 5 hours of sleep cause I wanna get my bunnies.

I am not the greatest of neighbors as when I get busy here, my town suffers a bit. But when I do get time, I let my creativity flow. My poor A game is so neglected. I am lucky if I get in there once a day now. Lol. My B town is a lil more active as it is my “test” town for all things game related and creative. 😉
I’m so happy to read this, Bunny! I’m pretty sure EA put the missing eggs I reported back on my account, but I’m still not confident the baskets I have out are ‘live’. It was nice to enter my Springfield yesterday and see a whole lot more eggs waiting for me than I expected. I’m just waiting until the basket glitch is really fixed to set out the other baskets in my inventory. I’m hoarding them like a pack rat until then! Crossing my fingers they get it fixed soon.

I haven’t seen any complaints so far about disappearing baskets. I’ve bought some, won some and even got one when I was tapping eggs in a neighbour’s town but as soon as I get eggs in them the baskets go *poof gone* no more basket. Doesn’t matter the colour. I also cannot visit more than 4 friends at a time before I’m booted completely out of the game. Definitely not enjoying this event.
I have seen many. Sadly, that is the “big glitch” for this event. Outside of them, I myself am quite enjoying the event. Not to mention we are only 25% the way through it. A lot of time still left.
Sorry you are running into the glitch too. I hope EA completes the update to fix it soon.
Oh, didn’t realize that it was one-in-the-same. I get the eggs, but then my basket disappears after I collect them.
Oh. Then you don’t have a glitch. That’s supposed to happen. One time use item. Once filled, they’re gone. It’s why we encouraged people to wait and not spend donuts on them.
Those with the glitch set them out to be filled and they just disappear.
I wrote EA about my baskets over two days ago and still have not gotten any response whatsoever. Typical experience for me with EA customer service. It is really frustrating and although the Easter event is fun I feel like I have missed out on a lot of eggs over the last few days and I have a small stockpile of baskets in my inventory that I don’t dare put out.
Sorry, they are on major backlog with this issue. Standard turn around is 24-72 hours. You can always go back into the help site to your case number and contact them again if you feel like your response isn’t getting anywhere. There is also the option to chat with a live rep if that is available. Otherwise, it is a matter of waiting.
Hang in there. A LOT of players are hit by this issue and EA is doing all they can to fix it.

Be patient I contacted Ea on the 21st. and it took them a few days to reach out. However today I was rewarded for my diligence with 1700 pink and blue eggs each! My recommendation is that if you do not hear from them between three or four days. Contact them again and politely ask for a status in your issue.
I just got some great news from EA. After some back and forth in email was just notified that they were going to remove my three defective baskets and give me 1700 eggs for my trouble :). As of this writing the baskets are gone but I have not received the promised eggs. I will keep you updated with my progress.
That is great. Definitely keep us updated. I just keep wanting people to stay on top of this until it is resolved. It is a LOT of eggs to not be able to get.
To everyone experiencing this issue contact EA and be patient. I opened my case with EA 5 days ago and today I was compensated with 1700 blue eggs and 1700 pink eggs for my troubles. They are still working on a patch but at least it is something.

This issue is a high priority. They wont stop working on it until it’s fixed.
Different Basket Problem. Full basket when collected doesn’t give full amount on certain ones. My guess is when someone contributes to the same basket more than once. I took screen shots and there were only two names of neighbors that popped up (instead of four) in the basket that shorted me 200 eggs.
It’s not really fair for ppl who buy baskets. I haven’t bought any but getting them AND getting them fillied is hard enough.

Here’s a question. I’ve cleared my common color prizes (pink..yay!) Theoretically I should now be swapping for blue eggs, but the basket glitch has me scared that I’ll just send pink eggs into the ether and get no blue eggs in return. Should I risk it, open pink boxes in hopes of getting blue eggs, or just hang onto all my eggs for now? I’m so confused! PS: my local affiliate is showing the Shary Bobbins episode right now!
Up to you if you want to chance it. If anything…just exchange the eggs. Drop them off to others and wait on placing baskets in yours.
OK. Right now all I have out is a dead pink basket. I’ll save my 1 blue and 2 other pink in my inventory until the glitch is fixed. Thanks for the input…we do still have plenty of time, after all!

Just been going through my friends towns – and twice now I’ve got the thank you screen come up when neighbors have baskets out! it’s not happening at every one, but its definitely happening at some. EA’s making some headway 🙂
Anyone experieced this:
Happily tapping I collected enough pink eggs (dominant color) to swap for bleu ones. Got over 400 bleus allready by a friendly neighbour, who’s baskets I filled. I was giving out tasks, whacked the new bunny running around, it gave a bleu egg and all of a sudden, 400 of my precious bleus dissappeared.
I checked my neighbour, his basket seemed empty, but it was the only one with no swap symbol hovering.
It looks like the glitch affects not only the receiver, but also the donor. 🙁
Just in case: I’ll only swap now when I can get enough to buy a box immediately after!
The basket glitch is all sorts of messed up for folks. SO sorry you lost eggs. Make sure you let EA know of your issue so they can add it to the list. They may even compensate you. Other than that, I’d just avoid baskets until we see a fix. I know the EA rep I spoke to said it’s one of their top priorities.
Yet another one with the easter basket glitch, seems no one can put eggs into my blue basket (real life friends tried) although they càn put eggs into the pink one. I’ve contacted EA just a minute ago, will keep you updated.
I so hope this gets fixed very soon for everyone.

So glad to see an update that EA is working on the basket issues. My B game has had three dead baskets and my A game has the problem of not receiving any baskets for the past four days! I’ve also noticed the majority of my neighbors have empty baskets with no icons over them for me to swap eggs.
I’m sure it doesn’t help that Titanfall just released and has had major glitch issues that they’re probably scrambling to fix as well. Hopefully, they will get our game fixed this week…
Has anyone else had their free (comes with the story line) egg generator give them eggs of their non-dominant color? I’m a ‘pink’, but my egg generator just spat out 75 blue eggs! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’ll take all the free tries at that blue box I can get!! Just wondering if it’s a glitch? Or by design? I was so surprised!

I haven’t seen that glitch yet. I did notice that my egg generator has a blue egg hovering over it when it’s ready to collect, but the eggs that pop out are pink (which is my dominant color).
Notify EA of this. Watch to see where the egg actually counts to. (If when tapped it shows pink but credits blue, etc.) If they are not only showing wrong but crediting wrong, let EA know right away. (You can find out what generator it should credit with what egg color by looking in you Homer Buddha menu and tapping on the lil blue italic i for more information on that item.)
So I’ve been watching my MKI since I noticed it giving me eggs of the ‘wrong’ color, hoping to catch it in the act again and lo and behold, it did the same thing you mentioned! There was a blue egg hovering over the generator (which should have been PINK – my dom. color is pink), but pink eggs popped out (and credited) when I tapped it. I swear it’s also given me blue eggs (credited to blue, not pink), too, which, according to what I’ve read here shouldn’t happen. I feel like I’m going a little bit crazy.
I’m also plagued by the basket glitch. I hope EA helps us out, bc I think I have about 5 or 6 dead baskets and I’ve lost about 1000 eggs now 🙁

I went to someone’s town today and they had an empty basket, and I had more than 100 blue eggs, but there was no icon above the basket to tap, I wonder if this is a glitch.

Has anyone had a problem with their baskets in the sense that they place them in their towns but nobody can click on them? I have two friends IRL and neither of them can click on them, though they have enough of the corresponding colours…?

As you can see in this post you are commenting on, there is a glitch with the baskets. I would suggest they go to the help forum and post their issue and ALSO to contact EA to with it. Via the other options there (Email, chat, call).

There are a lot of people in the no basket boat. It is random, and it’s still very early in the event (it’s not even 1 week old). Just be patient with that.
