Easter has arrived in Springfield! But, with the new Easter premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Natural Faberge Egg to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this decoration to YOUR Springfield.

Pros:
-Unique Easter decoration for your Springfield
-Egg is small in size, so it can easily fit anywhere in Springfield

-Animated, when tapped the egg opens and a little bunny pops out!
Cons:
-Pricey!
-Does not unlock for purchase until AFTER you’ve completed the main 4-Day Weekend for our Sins Questline.
-Can be won by tapping/zapping bunnies…why buy what you can get for free?
-No animation/tasks associated with it.
-Adds to vanity rating, one of the easiest to max out in the game
Final Thought:
Personally, I’m on the fence with this one. My best advice is if you’re really itching to get this decoration…hold off until the end of the event. See if you can win it by tapping/zapping bunnies. Save your donuts for more important things. If at the end of the event you haven’t won it & you still want it then go forward and make the purchase. But don’t purchase it until the end of the event and you’re sure you won’t win it for free.
In the end it’s your call. What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think. Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME decoration and once it’s gone, it’s gone…so be sure to get it before the event is over if you’re thinking about it.

Well here you go. This is the Faberge Egg in my B town. Look REALLY close. As you can see it is TEENY TINY. (The lamp post towers over it.) About the size of the snapdragon flower actually. So place it wisely, or you may not find it again. Lol. I placed a few other items next to it too for size comparison. And you thought the World’s Largest Zirconia was little. (The Zirconia is on the left, roped off.)
UPDATE BUNNY 4-27-14:
Mine happened so fast I missed it, but for everyone else…this is what the Faberge’ Egg looks like when you get it while tapping. It’s same size as the rest of the eggs so if behind some, you may have missed it. Double check your inventory ( lil brown cardboard box ) and make sure you don’t have it already after completing the final quest. Thanks Kyle for the pic. LOVE our readers! 🙂

This is my first comment although I have been an avid addicts reader for ages. So, first of all… THANK YOU so much for all you do to inform, guide, inspire and humor us. You are a tremendous team. I have refrained from writing because I did not want to up what could be seen as a whining post, but I gave in. I love this game so much and tap a ton, as does my dear husband. It is so fun to have a game to share. I am trying to stay optimistic about getting the buildings and playable characters, but the days are dwindling and having gone 10 days without the egg and baskets is making the math truly daunting. I am a premium player and recently stocked up on donuts but have taken your advice, Bunny, not to spend donuts on the fab egg or on eggs for boxes. I did get CCL who makes me laugh 🙂 and MKII for eggs. I am also maxed on friends and make the rounds every day. I clear bunnies every few hours and harvest the farm. Is there really still hope? Ok… so that is a wicked long post… maybe I should have posted sooner 😉
My suggestion first of all is if you believe you have a glitch, please let EA know. Keep on them until it is resolved. Unfortunately, those baskets were random to begin with so it is hard to say who actually has a glitch and who is just in that natural “down” period of getting none. Similar to the free donuts once FP is maxed. Some weeks are awesome, some weeks have nothing to show. The variables are endless. But seriously, if you contact EA they can look into your game and know if it is a glitch issue or just the randomness of the game.
As for why I said wait on spending donuts on the eggs…you will know REALLY shortly. Thursday to be exact. As we never want to put “spoilers” out to our readers, this also applies. Until I see it in the game, until we know it is up and running and functioning for players…we do not like to give false hope. I am sure you understand that.
There is still a full week plus left in the game, so depending on how many of each box you have opened by now will determine how much closer you are. Just focus on clearing the Pink and Blue boxes, outside of that…wait on the gold. Play it when you can. Then when the date hits I mentioned…decide how you wish to play beyond that point.
Feel free to vent, we understand. We are not so happy with the glitches that have impacted major game play for anyone. It makes me sad. This started out as such a cool new promising event. I hate that it was riddled with glitches. Being out sick a while I know I may not get all the prizes in one of my games I play Freemium, but I do not mind. I still got some really amazing prizes regardless. Even from the gold boxes. Hugs was my 3rd one opened.
I just don’t want people to look at their games as work. It is to enjoy, giggle, and have fun. So I hope overall at least some fun was had.
Now I’m really keen for Thursday to come so I can find out what is going on. 😉
And if I’m understanding correctly, are you saying we should save our gold eggs, at least until Thursday?
More like save your donuts until Thursday. At least when it comes to buying Eggs/baskets etc. Feel free to buy premium characters and decorations (like CCL or Dewey Largo). 🙂
Also, I’d like to say as well this website is great! I’ve only posted a few times during this a event and checked out the website a few times during valentine’s, but it’s really kept me motivated during this event. There’s so much great info and tips that I never would have known if I hadn’t seen this site.

I haven’t bought any eggs or baskets so far and likely won’t, I’ve only got 98 donuts or so and don’t have to money to buy more at the moment and hoping to save up and buy CCL at some point. But, I’m not complaining, I’ve gotten some really good items and I’ve been really lucky with the baskets. Like I said in another comment I got about a dozen from tapping/zapping. Then I had a drought for about 5-6 days and I’ve just received 6 (3 of each colour) in the last two days.

I understand that you are seeking a reason as to why you may not have the Faberge Egg yet or baskets, however I do not see ANYTHING what so ever in the readers feedback here as well as what we see in the files that can confirm their findings. I found the Faberge within 2 bunnies. Several readers here have found the Faberge within a few taps. Some within a few days. Some within a few weeks. Overall, it is just as we said…random. No two games are alike. The code from the start has been .993 and has not changed. How it translates…well that is up to EA. I myself am going off of what I am seeing from readers response. I still got baskets in my alternate game AFTER finishing the quests but BEFORE the Faberge Egg (that one took 3 days to get it in). Wookiee got a basket just after finishing the quest then got the Faberge Egg shortly after. Those numbers they are reporting just do not add up at all.
Short story long, just play the game. If you do not win it and want it so terribly bad, then purchase it.
To anyone who is worried about not receiving the Faberge egg yet, don’t worry. I’ve been tapping pretty much non stop for the last two weeks because I’ve been on holidays, and I only just got mine today. 🙂
I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open, so I nearly missed it. But then I saw it and when I did I literally swore out loud haha. I was very excited to get it!
Finished the Easter 2014 Main Quest line about a week ago. Then about 4 days ago, I got the Faberge Egg by tapping/zapping. I clicked it, got it in my inventory, then the game lost connection about 5-7 seconds after. I logged back in, and it was gone. No signs since, and I’ve been playing nonstop. I still can buy it, so I imagine I could still get it via tapping, but no luck so far, and I have tapped no less than about 200 bunnies. FRUSTRATION.
Best bet on this…Contact EA let them know what happened. They’re the ones who can restore it back to your game. 🙂
Finished the whole quest – still no premium except Kodos topiary. Been zapping for 2 days non-stop – no Faberge. Getting so frustrated. But I’ll stick it out until the end. And have had a half-filled pink basket for 2 days. Come on neighbors!!
I haven’t gotten it yet either and have been done for 2 days. Still plenty of time until May 13th.
The size of the egg doesn’t bother me as much as that it doesn’t have a “velvet rope” around it like the diamond LOL.

Is there a minimum or a maximum number of eggs you get before the eggs come up or a percentage chance to get the Faberge Egg like there were for the prizes in the boxes?

Correct. It is listed in there under the Pros.
I think you are looking at the Cons section where we state there are no animated tasks or tasks at all associated with the Faberge Egg. (Like Homer and Hugs fighting- that is an animated task.) Hope that helps.
Good morning, just finished easter quest line last night. Logged on this morning and zapped my little bunnies and woop woop another free prize……faberge egg in my inventory. Feeling lucky. Happy days x
Hey, I’ve like been on this everyday all day as bad as it sounds and I finished the quest a couple of days ago and it went on to say about the rare egg but no luck so far. Although I still haven’t finished the fence task – about half way through getting 50 -, would that be why?

Just keep on tapping to see if you get it. Also, check your lil carboard box inventory just to make sure it didn’t sneak by you. 😉

You have to finish the ENTIRE easter event main questline. Once you finish the last lil bit, the option to buy with donuts opens…but I HIGHLY suggest just wait. You can win it from the bunnies at that point.

Tapping a bunny is just that, tap the bunnies hopping around with your finger the same way you tap Homer when you want to assign him a task. The fall down, and an egg or item pops out .
Zapping the bunnies, you use your bunny stunner/zapper and cover a quite larger space and area to get many bunnies all at once. It also gets to those that like to hide where you can’t see them.

I purchased one because I had some extra donuts, and then one dropped off a rabbit like the next day. Frustrating. Unfortunately, when I click the one in my inventory I get a message saying the item has already been placed. So while you can have more than one, you can only place one. I concur with Bunny here; just wait and see if one drops.

I have just gone one from zapping bunnies in my town. The message came that I found Ultra rare item, so you do not have to worry that you will miss the loot and it will stay in your inventory unnoticed.

I got Sean, but need hugs & Shary. I will be disappointed if she has lame tasks. I bought Manjula, and her tasks are extremely lacking. As far as the Fab egg… wayyy too small for 100 sprinkles. If I win it, fine, if not, no biggie.

Sorry but I think you might have been mistaken. I have zapped/whacked at least 20 bunnies since I have finished the quest line , and with odds like that I could hardly this a coincidence. And in another comment that I saw by Alissa she said that the odds were close to 1%.
The files are showing it as .993 for almost everything in the files you have to do the conversion to a percentage, which would be 99.3%. We’re seeing some tappers getting it right away and others trading a long time to get it. I wouldn’t even worry about the odds…just tap and see what happens. You still have 2 weeks left 🙂

I won it but I don’t see it in my inventory or anywhere in my town. I’ve triple checked (even removed most items from my town–which was a lot). Has anyone else had this problem? o_O
First, I’m hearing of it. Did your game crash when you collected it?
It did crash, but not directly after I collected it.

If troubleshooting won’t bring it back (log out n restart). And you can’t see it to buy in Homer Buddha menu…then Contact EA.
If you can still see it for purchase, it didn’t recognize the win and you may be able to tap and get another.

To be honest… I wanted her too…but kinda not impressed with her tasks. I have found Hugs and Fr Sean to be so much better and funnier with theirs. Lol. 😉
