UPDATED 5/22 9:30PM EST: Android users check your Play Store for yet another Play Store update for TSTO. So far this again looks like it’s an attempt to fix some of the lag/crashing problems that have been plaguing Android users for months now….let us know if YOU notice a difference in your game.
Sorry iOS users…just checked my store on my iPad I don’t see an update just yet. But I believe these patches for Android are repairing issues Android users have been experiencing for months (especially Kit Kat users).

Looks like we just got ourselves an in-game update on our favorite Tapping Devices! Which, shouldn’t be a surprise to you if you checked out our Open Thread/Reminders post last night…
LEVEL 41 has Arrived! (and hey we’re here for this 1 😉 )
More details as we work through them ourselves….but for now Moe gets this going in your Springfield!
If the Level Up! Message wasn’t a clue for you, this Level is focused around Dr. Hibbert….
After some dialogue between Moe and Dr. Hibbert you’ll be prompted to build the Vulgari Jewelry Store, it costs $800,000 and is a 24hr build.
As always we’ll post more details below the fold for those who don’t want more details until they play the level…so WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!
Looks like we got ourselves TWO new characters in the game and some new vehicles!
Freemium Stuff:
Buildings
– Vulgari Jewelry Store– $800,000, 24hr build 3×6, unlocks Bernice Hibbert
Characters
-Bernice Hibbert- Comes with Vulgari Jewlery Store
Decorations
–Bloodmobile- $132,000, improves vanity (not unique)

–Unfinished Shed– 150 Donuts. Comes with Chester Dupree (3×3)

That’s it my friends the full rundown on Level 41! Not a HUGE update, but an update nonetheless! Two new characters, a few new decorations and more fun to keep our tapping fingers happy!

I succumbed! I was hoping that grocery store would go down in price. With the intro of the new price level, it won’t start decreasing until the next level update… is that the correct understanding?
This is why I’m still playing this game despite the technical snafus… the content stuff continues to be super fun. Just in time for a long weekend.

Caught the update in my B-Game first, and I didn’t get a level-up message – not quite there yet. But Dr. Hibbert and Homer had a conversation about a shed, and then I got the boat, the shed and the blood mobile in my building menu anyway.
Regarding Chester: Dr. Hibbert’s Unlock Message said something about his brother in law Chester, didn’t it? At least in the german version. Maybe this is he?

BTW, If I am level 40 and have reached the max XP (at least once), and now building up the next cumulation of points, will I have to wait until the limit has been reached again, to progress to the next level (41)

And the higher the level, the higher the costs. Remember EA added a new price multiplier last Level. So it is sitting at times 4 of its base cost.
These are not limited time characters or buildings are they?
I’m not sure if I should just wait for a price decrease (i.e. Level 42) or just use 90% of my ingame cash to purchase it asap?
Yes…they are level updates so no need to rush at all. 😉
Can you explain more about this price multiplier? Does that mean if I wait until next update the cost would go down?

Thought this was another premium level after starting level 41 and the first prompt was to buy the unfinished shed for 150 donuts! Glad I popped on to see that once Moe is available there are freemiums available too. After having to buy Lugashs gyms for 150 donuts to complete Millhouse’s fitness task ( I chose not to buy it!!) it was nearly bye bye Tapped Out for me!
Yeah, I wasn’t too thrilled with the tie in to Lugash’s gym for the rest of the Quest, either Granted, I might have felt differently if it had required a premium building I already owned…

I know very giddy but what a lot of content my town isn’t big enough to house this………no I am not complaint lol.
Very happy with this update! Another freemium female and a freemium vehicle is a great bonus. I had also been wondering if we would ever see the duff boat added after seeing it an episode recently. The only negative is that I feel that a lot of the premium characters have been quite expensive lately. I understand for someone like CCL and Manjula who have been in demand but for this guy and the music teacher I would say that closer to 100 donuts might seem a bit fairer. We always have to throw in a slight moan about everything 🙂
i have Moe on task but Hibbert had talk with Homer and i believe Chester is Hibbert’s brother in law! Love love love this update! Woooo Hoooo! Yes i knew Chester was coming from ya’lls post yesterday. 🙂

I think EA are beginning to actually take their consumer serious what a terrible slow start to the year we had on tsto now all of a sudden we are getting updates left right and centre I dunno who the hell Chester Dupree is but If it means new character and story content fine by me lol. Keep the updates coming EA the simpsons is huge with the amount of skins, decorations, characters and big updates such as monorail heh hem! This game can go on for years! Oh but we would defiantly need more land once figured a formulae for stability also. Enjoy regular updates wateva it is so I’m delighted 😊

Who the heck is Chester Dupree? Which episode was he in? I know my Simpsons and most characters but never heard of this guy.

Awesome. Do you know if there is another Jebediah Springfield statue out there? I know the whacking day one and the super duper secret one but I was going through my friends town and saw he (of she) had a third one? Any ideas???
To be honest…I believe there is only two. The “easter egg” one w/bear and the one from whacking day w/snake. Your “friend” may have an “altered game” or it is another icon/decoration. Do you have a screenshot of it? If so, you can email it to us TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com
I’m not 100% sure, but I think is Bernice’s brother. I remember he was mentioned in the beggining of the episode “Gone Abie Gone” (Season 24 Ep 04) when Homer is remembering Marge’s remember about Dr. Hibbert healthy food indications.

Excited about the blood mobile and a freemium wife! Jewelry store is cool, too. Don’t quite understand the premium building tho. Does that Chester guy come with tasks? If not, that’s a hefty load of donuts for a building and character without tasks! Can’t wait for the store to finish building! 🙂
He does come with tasks. We’ll do our usual Should I buy on him….no rush tho since it’s not Limited-Time 🙂

Not saying I hate it or anything , but Chester’s color scheme is darker than all the characters in the game… a more modern look.
I knew a new level was bound to happen soon, as I blew about 3/4mil on buying property a few days ago. So now it’s going to take me at least a few more days to save up enough for the jewelry store.
I’ll have to pull my characters back from Krustyland (I’m only on the Tooth Chipper task there) to earn up enough dough.
I’m glad to have a Freemium wife for a change (although, yes, I did buy Apu’s wife when she became available). I wish they’d bring back some of the buildings that I missed out on from starting this game too late, like the mall, or the skating rink.
You never know…they make come back sooner or later 😉

Brand new character never seen before. EA released him as part of Hibbert Family.
Oh. It will be interesting to see if he ever makes an appearnce on the show
I just finished rushing through things, and I’m not too impressed with the update. Perhaps it’s because I’m completely unfamiliar with Dr. Hibbert’s wife, and the new character isn’t all that spectacular, especially for a premium one.
Honestly the best part of the update for me is the Duff Party Liner and the Bloodmobile is pretty nice looking too.
It’s a small update, Level wise. Only 3+ days long. Which might indicate they have something they’re working on for next week that wasn’t quite ready yet. Surprised by how short the main quest was…usually they’re about a week and 10+ parts. We’ll see what happens next week.
In the end just glad to have another female in the game, and like that the “couples of Springfield” are shaping up nicely 🙂
Hopefully that’s the case. Even if it’s not new content, an update to fix the lag issues people are having would be more than welcome.
Loving it currently building as we speak however won’t be here to finish building it as off to Disneyland Paris till Sunday so won’t see it till then 🙁

Hey guys, I just rushed Doc Hibberts task as I assumed he kicked off the story/level update (I can see you’ve said it’s actually Moe!). There was immediately some dialogue with Homer (no spoilers..) and then.. nothing. I was jut told an item had unlocked, but it’s premium! My first thought was “surely EA haven’t done a level update with Premium content only!?”
I can now see the “other” building in the freemium section, so guess there is a Premium storyline to accompany the Freemium one. Phew!!! That will teach me not to rush things with donuts (well, it was only 2…).
Not giving anything away, but excited by the new character!! I hope “they” are voiced!!?
