UPDATED 5/22 9:30PM EST: Android users check your Play Store for yet another Play Store update for TSTO. So far this again looks like it’s an attempt to fix some of the lag/crashing problems that have been plaguing Android users for months now….let us know if YOU notice a difference in your game.
Sorry iOS users…just checked my store on my iPad I don’t see an update just yet. But I believe these patches for Android are repairing issues Android users have been experiencing for months (especially Kit Kat users).

Looks like we just got ourselves an in-game update on our favorite Tapping Devices! Which, shouldn’t be a surprise to you if you checked out our Open Thread/Reminders post last night…
LEVEL 41 has Arrived! (and hey we’re here for this 1 😉 )
More details as we work through them ourselves….but for now Moe gets this going in your Springfield!
If the Level Up! Message wasn’t a clue for you, this Level is focused around Dr. Hibbert….
After some dialogue between Moe and Dr. Hibbert you’ll be prompted to build the Vulgari Jewelry Store, it costs $800,000 and is a 24hr build.
As always we’ll post more details below the fold for those who don’t want more details until they play the level…so WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!
Looks like we got ourselves TWO new characters in the game and some new vehicles!
Freemium Stuff:

– Vulgari Jewelry Store– $800,000, 24hr build 3×6, unlocks Bernice Hibbert

That’s it my friends the full rundown on Level 41! Not a HUGE update, but an update nonetheless! Two new characters, a few new decorations and more fun to keep our tapping fingers happy!

Good news the lag is gone, bad news is either there is some problem because the Vulgari Aspirations Pt. 1 won’t start or I’m missing something. I installed the level 41 update, bought the premium shed (along with character) then bought the Duff party boat and blood bus. And now I have been doing missions on the premium character and only now realized that you can get hibberts wife (when I went on here) because the quest never started for me.
Check where you are in your game play level. You need to have completed the appropriate tasks and questlines in the prior levels in order to move on. Like Miss Hoovers quest in Level 40.
If you have completed all previous game play levels…then it is a matter of you just making sure your characters needed to trigger the new level are available to start it out. So make sure Moe isn’t busy somewhere too.
OK thank you very much yes I am at level 41 but have not completed every task that came before level 41.

Is anyone has a problem with smithers? I can’t play with this character, or see it 🙁 it’s always say *error*
Try storing Burns Manor and then replacing it. This might fix your issue with Smithers.
Lag is now totally gone on my HTC One M8 with Kit Kat. Had gotten better after the first fix, with only some lag depending on tasks in my town. Also noticed that I am no longer getting kicked out of the game when visiting friends. Woohoo, all my people can start earning bonus level donuts again!
Seems the update worked for me. No lagging even in friends that lagged more than others.

My game crashes in other people’s neighborhoods… I feel bummed about that but what can I do you know? I need a tablet! Ha! my phone cannot handle all of this.I love the game and I am an addict but have spent way too much money on this game. Seriously my hubby is going to kill me if I spend any more. is EA getting itred of updates? I love the new building and Mrs. Hibbert but that is it? Everything else costs doughnuts and it’s such a bummer. While waiting for updates I have a TON of $$ but nothing I want to buy.

This 2nd update for Android seems to have completely fixed the lag for me. Its running smoother than it ever has before! 🙂

Hi! I have noticed on my A game the lag is minimal to non existant but certain friends i visit, the lag exists. Also when i visited one certain neighbor, it crashes when i attempt to visit and closes game. Never had problem before and i am not sure if its even on my end!
Usually if you are unable to visit a neighbor…it is most likely THEY can’t get in either.

Does anybody know what Duff yacht does yet? For $100 donuts I’d like to believe it cruises around, but experience dictates that unlikely. At best tapping it will cause some sort of action I figured, so wondering what all it does if anything… other than rake in more mullah.
It does have animation when tapped. We’ll have a Should I Buy post up on it soon. 🙂

Played a few times since the android update: Lag is gone and hasn’t crashed yet (fingers crossed!). Looks like a job well done EA!
Why are they so stingy with donuts? They should also make a sec on button to confirm spending donuts! I could have some nice stuff it my happy fingers didn’t hit the speed up button all the time, I never want to wast donuts speeding up!
Mark, there is a way to have it ask you to confirm donuts! You need to click on the hammer and saw icon, then on the “i” in the top right corner of the pop up. Then you can check “on” for confirm donut spend! =)

I have started the quest but can not build the Vulgari Jewelry. Anyone else have the same problem or a selution?
Where in the quest are you? You need to make sure you have the right characters free to trigger the dialog and complete the tasks. Moe starts it. Him and Hibbert talk a while. Then you get prompt to build it. This is AFTER the initial dialog with Homer and Hibbert.
Have had the dialog with homer and hibbert. Moe was also free. I wil wait until moe has finish his task for today, maybe that wil help. Thanks for the help. I will let you know if it did help.
If you don’t see the ! over Moe after he’s free, try Storing Moe’s (warning it will also store Marge). That sometimes helps to trigger the task. 🙂
So I can run the Chester quests simultaneously with the Vulgari Jewelry quest? I’m where Chester is doing the blood drive. I was under the impression that I have to finish that quest first.
They can run concurrently with each other.

The update improved the lag on my game. I did some cleaning so I have a few spots for more neighbors. I LOVE THIS GAME!
WOOHOO!!! It helped mine too.
I’m still a little laggy, but nowhere near as bad as it has been before. It mostly happens when I try to move from one side of a Springfield to another. Or when I’ve tapped lots of buildings. A bit annoying but at least its not freezing any more.
I’m running a smooth as butta’ on my GS4, but in fairness I haven’t started visiting neighbors since the update last night hit. So I’ll have to check that out here shortly.

The update earlier this week seems to have fixed the crashing. At least I didn’t experience a single one since then. Even though speed seems to have improved with yesterday’s release, I’m not sure that it’s back to the level of the Easter edition.
I’ve noticed some strange issue with yesterday’s release, though: I kept Lisa free in expectation of reaching the 5.000 FP goal and went to Krustyland, Lisa appeared there, went back to Springfield, Lisa was there but the character locator went missing even though she was roaming free. After quitting and restarting the game the locator appeared again. The behavior was reproducible.
When that happens, I open & close my move icon. Always makes the character icon pop up for me.

I’ve had the same issue with the locater since before Easter with Lisa and others. When you’re back in Springfield & click on another characters thumbs up to complete a task, all the missing characters will show up in the locater (they always do for me anyway).
Maybe that glitch existed for a while. I routinely clear all thumbs, handshakes, dollars and cash registers and then assign all tasks before going to Krustyland. I don’t think any character did any job there after completing it and adding the Twirl’n’Hurl.
My game has not been working since Easter update. Now when I open it says there’s not enough space on my device to download t,eh new stuff, but it have 1.4 GB AVAILABLE!!! I’m about to call it quits.
Don’t worry. I dealt with that with my Android device since January. There is an update in the Google Play market, but I think everyone is trying to access it and causing an overload as the server keeps going up and down. Hang in there. Try again later.
(For me, what usually fixed the “not enough space” was to go to my app manager and clear cache/data, restart, then load it back on to the device. That or uninstall/reinstall…but this update fixed it…just before server went down. Lol.)
Are these 1.4gb contiguous memory or on a storage card? If the latter, one must remember that a big part of the app -the Java byte code cache- still goes to the (usually much smaller) internal memory and during an update it needs more than what it says it occupies when installed. I’ve never seen such an error on my Nexus devices which have 16gb of contiguous memory and no memory card. In contrast, I am more than familiar with this error message on my Huawei device. It seems that the message does no longer pop up since I raised free internal memory from about 130mb to 170mb by uninstalling apps.

Was able to update and start level 41 thus afternoon. Tonight I can’t connect on my phone, tablet, and the kid can’t on his tablet either. Thanx EA, since Easter this game has gone to poop. Spend some of the money you make from this game and fix it already, upgrade the programmers and servers.
There was an update to Google Play that is causing an overload of players on the server. Hang in there. Common. It will come back.

I’m getting it too..The game is acting really screwy tonight, first I couldn’t log in, and now that I’m in, my icon is wrong and it won’t let me log out and I’m again to fix the problem,
It keeps saying “the Origin Network can’t be reached at this time”, but if it can’t be reached then how is the game able to let me into my town.
