Seems for this event EA is doing a bit of special release days. Wednesdays are Elixir days and it appears that Saturday is Troop Replenishment Saturday!
Many of you will be seeing a message on your Tapping Device informing you that a new wave of Nerds are ready for battle in your Springfield! 
When you sign into Springfield you’ll see this message popup:
Your troops have now been maxed out! A little gift from EA…Max nerds at 2pm EDT!

I’m having a hard time getting a good stash of gold and elixir. Maybe I’m just spoiled with how quickly I get game cash? It seems like it takes forever to get currency for this event.
It’s much slower. 750 a day is the mark for completion.
All this looting and pillaging has caused my righteousness rating to plummet. It seems to be on the rise but I was proud of my 5 star rating.
Hide or place training walls and it wont be a problem any more.
Realy enjoy this event 🙂 not sure what is most effective when sending nerds? I just sen 1 at each house and attacks more ppl :p also pretty new at tapped out (been playing family guy game before i got too this Game) if someone need more friends just add me on origin name is Necia146 :)))

I played almost all night and now I have a stiff neck. Don’t care, got the extra nerds and am REALLY enjoying this game. AS ALWAYS!
Anyone else had the awesomest glitch that caused the reinforcements to appear 3 times for me already today? Once when playing on the phone and than again twice when I launched it on the tablet. Dont get me wrong – am not complaining, just wondering whats up 🙂

Next week we’ll make sure we remind everyone to use their nerds before the time. Now that we know what it is….we should be better at reminding 🙂

Woohoo free nerds! Hopefully this happens every Saturday! Definitely getting a lot of premium content free. I’ve received around 5 cheater dice so far, and this gave me around 50 to 53 nerds to my current max of 55 (can’t remember exactly how many I had between 1 and 2ish today.) And to top it all off, I got ten donuts in the daily prize box today!!

Yup, so far so good! Also got the early adopter 15 donuts, so the chicken coop is almost “free” for me. 😄
I have not cleared my existing nerds I think it was 15 and due to this reinforcement I reach 50. Did I miss out on any nerds?
It’ll automatically max you. If you’re maxed you won’t get any more nerds from the replenishment…
It’s there any reason to hold onto 1 or 2 cheaters 20s? Or should I just go ahead and use em now that I’ve completed the prompt from the game to destroy a building and defend a building with them?

No spoilers, use them at your leisure. Personally, I mainly use them to destroy castles in random towns for the high payout.
I’m planning to have 1 or 2 saved at the end of this event– just in case I’m a few coins away from a prize on the last day and need the final push 🙂
I’m finding this event really fun! My only complaint is there’s nothing “normal” to buy to add to our towns, like a new character or non-castle building. I have no desire to spend donuts on castle walls!
Yeah, it would have been nice. Save your donuts for whatever comes next.

But I wish I knew it before so I could have spent the nerds I had… but I will be ready for the next Saturday!
Definitely like the reinforcements. I happily had sent all my troops on a mission earlier so getting a full replenishment was very nice. Have to remember to sacrifice all my nerds by 1 again next Saturday.

And just like @zackbender I seem to have pretty good luck with that first log in of the day. Been getting around 1800/700 elixir to gold. Enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would, too. I guess my love of fantasy is winning out!
I have a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and a Note II, and I keep jumping back and forth between the two and it keeps maxing out… every jump, new max. I think I’m up to 7 rotations now x55 each time.. what a bug!!!!
I’m still lagging because of the coursed cheaters 20 glitch. I’ve written on the ea forums, and there’s already 14 pages in the thread, but still nothing. I’m so disappointed.
Nice addition apart from the game crashed 2seconds after. Nothing new though crash crash crash etc etc etc. Did manage to visit all my friends Springfields yesterday though. First time in 2 months without giving up. Only took 2:30 hours.
the Ipad and IPod do fine, but my G3 is still crashing a bit. Not as much as it was a few weeks ago, but still gosh darn frustrating. Angrys up my blood !!
The crashing actually helped me for once. I got 70 nerds went through and sent them out. My game crashed and I reloaded and got 70 more. I still would prefer the game not crashing

I am having a blast but really burning through the content. I only used donuts to speed the building of the first castle, and the elixir and gold earning seem to be increasing in speed pretty fast. Worried I will be done with everything in a week.
Any suggestions for maximizing returns? It seems like one can not count on random attacks to be successful with only 1 nerd. Not only that it would take a long time to see a victory and only gets longer as people upgrade defense.
Typically I’ve been trying to attack places with some buildings already destroyed, and even then hitting up houses during the day since those can be max’d to 1hr. Overnight I’ll go for a 4/5hr timer so I can hit up more buildings with fewer nerds.
The best way to maximize returns is to make sure you have good neighbors that attack every day. Most of my elixir and gold has come from this. Random towns do offer better payouts but as most of my attacks have come from my neighbors, I concentrate my efforts there, one nerd per building, so they will return the favor. Only time I go random is to blow up castles with the random cheaters I earn.
Sweet. I’d just sent all my nerds off to battle so got my maximum 60 from EA. Bit of a bummer if you were already maxed out on nerds though.
I let some nerds earlier to ‘be prepared’ to this special saturday aaand lost some nerds -.-
I’m doing quite well. I have woke up each morning of the event to about 2500 elixir and 1200 gold. I am doing quite well.

I just got in and my Nerds are maxed out (75 for me) luckily I had just collected 20 mins ago off to battle random Springfields
I just confirmed with my Kindle that yes you will get a notice your current nerd count has been maxed out. I’m glad I just sent my nerds a LARPin 😉
