  1. P-Cola Dee….did you find your missing money? I was wondering how you went with that. We had to contact EA several weeks ago about undelivered but paid for donuts on my grandson’s game and they were really helpful, but we chatted real time with them as I was told you get better results that way. Hope it is fixed for you now…it’s hard enough to get those dollars going when you first start out without them nabbing them back from you! Lol
    Cheers, Julie.

    • Thanks for asking Julie, but no it was left unresolved. I’m just going to drop the matter unless it happens again. I still feel a little cash poor… Uh in the game too.

      • Lol…yes understand the paralleling between life and game when it comes to mighty $! Lol. I have two towns up and going and my poor second town really struggles to accommodate everyone but it’s gradually getting there. Strangely enough, altho I concentrate on the original town my wee second town is ahead in the COC game!! Figure that one out…maybe they figure I’m neglecting them so they’re going to prove they are the better barbarians. Lol
        Cheers, Julie.

  2. Mary Jo…I left message below, but not sure if you saw it. I hope all ok there. Talk soon….Julie.

    • I left u a message earlier, I thought. Not sure where it got to. There wasn’t any place to hit reply, but I figured it would pop up somewhere. Don’t think I said anything that couldn’t hit the press. Anyway, I do ask a lot of question, so if I get in any area u r not comfortable with, I am sure u know how to let me know. Lol. U have such a wonderful sense of humor. It is amazing what a good laugh will do. I do believe that is what has kept me going. Wouldn’t be surprised if that is not true for you also. I can’t imagine being married for 35 yrs and having the rug jerked out from under me. Words can’t express how bad I feel for u. Have to figure it will all work out. It is just getting through the pain that is hard. You r strong and smart. Wendell, my husband, has started eating a little. Gives me hope. Well, it is 1:00 am and I need to unwind and go to sleep. Your friend, Mary Jo

      • Julie, my other note to u is further down. It just popped up, so now u have two. Oh, and that should be questions. Mary Jo

      • Hi Mary Jo,
Yes I am in my fifties, but I feel like I’m in my nineties at times. Lol.
I have lived in this bleak little town for nigh on 25yrs…came here when the ex got work here, and ended up buying the house I live in about sixteen years ago. Lucky me…I got the house in the property settlement…he got the cash and ability to leave town after he caused mega problems for so many different people, including his own family. With the downturn in mining, it is impossible to sell and get a decent price for a house here. I would dearly love to leave the area and the bad memories, but one has to be practical and I don’t want debt..so we stay..for now.
I wouldn’t go back nursing now…not just because of my neck problems, but also because I have Jamie in my care full time…have had almost since he was born…and I wouldn’t like him to think I was deserting him with all the shift work involved in nursing. I’d be happy with a cashier type job in the supermarket. But we’ll see what happens in the future.
No problem with the questions…my philosophy has always been that we all have the right to ask whatever questions we want…and we all have the right to answer whatever questions we want. Lol
Yes i do have a sense of humour…sometimes on the black side as with most emergency personale I guess, but all my kids share my warped sense of humour as well..and so do my grandbabies…of which I still ONLY have 8! These other two just don’t want to put in an appearance yet! They will make 10….9 actually as one is a ‘ring-in’. Jenn is Jamie’s mum…and because she gave me my grandson, she will always be my daughter-in-law…and her partner is a lovely chap and he said that as far as he is concerned this baby is Jamie’s sister, I am Jamie’s Nonny, so I will be Nonny to this baby as well. I thought that very sweet of Jono because I am in fact no relation to the baby at all…but I’m claiming her!! Lol. Jamie’s dad is my third son and resident rebel!…altho he does show signs of slowing down and mellowing out with age thankfully. Lol
My eldest son is a customs officer and he spent quite a lot of time in California checking the shipments of oranges coming over here. David is now stationed in Australia post checking all parcels coming into the country through Brisbane. Aaron is manager of security at the Sydney University, Mike apart from being a rebel is also a workplace health and safety officer…so not all bad! Lol, Phillip is manager of security in a shopping mall in Brisbane also, and my baby girl, Louisa, is, in her own words…a bar wench! Lol
So this is my family…I do have other ‘ring-ins’ I’ll tell you about another time. Poor moderators are going to rue the day The Wookiee told us to use this thread to chat!!! Lol
Until next chat…take care and I am so pleased for you that Wendell is eating again? Great news.
        Cheers, Julie.

      • Julie, I won’t here long at this time. Have to finish my visits to friends. How was it raising four boys? Sounds like your daughter is still finding her way. I have 2 children, and they r a blessing to me. My daughter, who is 42, teaches English at the university. Her name is Tomaro. From her, I have a remarkable grandson, who just graduated from high school and is working in an office. His name is Eric. My oldest is a son named Chance, who is 47. He is a sweetheart and married to a nice girl who has been thru hard times. They have no children. He is a truck driver and she works at a church. I have five cats and two dogs. Love taking the dogs for a walk every day, but fell last autumn and fractured my shoulder. With the heat it has been hard for me to get back into the routine of walking every day, but look forward to the cooler weather and we will be off like a shot. We walk a little over 2 miles each day. I think u would make a great cashier. Lovely personality. Guess that takes care of me so far. Lol I keep rereading your texts and will probably have a question or two. Lol. Love your philosophy about questions. I will remember as I ask. Lol. Take care for now. Mary Jo

    • Hello again Mary Jo…it was lovely to hear from you again….I imagine you’ll be away for awhile now with Wendell’s surgery, so will miss you. It was absolute bedlam raising boys!! Believe me!! Lol…think that is when I really developed a sense of humour cos by crikey you need one with so many lads in one house…especially the size of my lads…Aaron is 6ft10ins tall..Mike is 6’5″, Pip is 6’2″…but David is sweet and stayed my height of 5’6″! Lol. Louisa is 5’10” tho…so tall kids…and my boys all have extremely deep voices so when they chat, it sounds like a whole football stadium erupting! Lol. I always say I ONLY had four boys cos if you saw and heard them…it looked and sounded like many many more. Lol and of course with Louisa being the youngest after the boys…she was never going to be a little lady…we bought her so many dolls but they are downstairs and hardly a mark on them after all these years, but the cars and trucks and boys toys wore out years ago! Lol she does or says things now and I say to her…Louisa…I brought you up to be a young lady! And she comes over and puts her arm around my shoulders and rests her head on mine and consoling says…Well mother…you failed! Lol
We…well ..Jamie has three cats…Garfield he got when he was 5yrs old and no amount of discussion would have him change the cat’s name even tho Garf is black and white! Lol…then there’s Nermol…well…cos he ain’t normal! Lol..oh and he’s the ginger, and then we have a beautiful white fluff ball called Frankie. She looks like a cream point Burman…very pretty with the light ginger on her face and paws and tail altho at the moment she’s taken to rolling in the dirt and is more black than white! Lol she was a rescue cat…badly treated and we called her Cranky Frankie…but after three years she has settled with us and has become very sweet and loving. We have a lot of pig hunters here (boar) and many of the pig dogs are allowed to wander, so we don’t keep a dog for fear of it being attacked by other dogs.
I also keep rereading your messages…I wonder if the moderators are able to pass my email addie on to you so as to free up this thread as well???
Take care and don’t stress too much with Wendell’s surgery..I’ll be thinking of you both. Big hugs, Julie.

      • We can pass emails if you send it to our email and the other person does the same. We do this mainly for privacy purposes.

      • Hi Julie, I thought that having four boys could be a interesting way to go, sounds like I am putting it mildly. Lol. I have 2 cats that Wendell and I got from the shelter while we lived in Florida, that was where I met him and we still have that place. One is name Goodness, which she should have been an only child, so bad, and the other is call Mercy. She is so sweet. Then while we were in Michigan taking care of my mom and dad, we have that house also, we found Tom. He is white with black spots on him. All the girl cats like him except Goodness, but then again she doesn’t like any of them. Then we had three cats dropped off, two were kittens and the dad. We own this house also. Just how it worked out. Anyway, had them all fixed, but the dad wanted to stay outside. One day he was gone and that was that. The kittens r big now and they r Eitsy and Bitsy. Male and female. She is tiger gray and he is white with brown spots. I have a Siberian Husky, called Nacola and a Pitt bull called Eli. She is with the black, white and tan coloring and of course blue eyes. Eli is tan color. I put backpacks on them when we walk and two leases on each of them, in case one should break. My som is 6’4 and his wife is 6′. Her mother is 6’1. I am 5’6. Well was. Not sure now. My daughter is 5’7. Wendell close to my height now, but then again he is kind of stuped. He surgery is Monday. I tell u, I have been having a dickens of a time getting it right. Lol they called on Thursday to remained us. When she said to be there at 7 in the am. I told her I have to give Wendell at least a half hr to get to the truck and to get into the office, maybe an hr if he decides to use the bathroom. I am rambling. Could u text? My phone number is ******. Email is ******* Look forward to hearing from u again. Mary Jo

  3. Sorry for being off topic but couldn’t find a thread for my question. I’m a freemium player and only buy the cheapest premium item with the donuts that we get from EA. At the moment I’ve managed to save upto 70 donuts (special thanks to clash of clones event). Any idea what I can spend it on? Any buildings or characters maybe? Or should I wait till Halloween for some limited items?

  4. So… I have completed the quests and have all of the items that I can buy with gold. I’ve built my castles. I still have a couple of levels that I can level them up, but the question is WHY?
Other than finishing leveling up the castles to be able to get the max number of nerds at one time, why am I still sending nerds out to attack things and collect elixir and gold? Yeah, I might stash away some extra castle walls to use for something creative in the future. I seem to have a fleet of hay wagons. Why am I still really trying to get more elixir and gold? Are we expecting more things to buy with them?

    • We hope EA has more planned for this event but that’s all it is… hope. Only time will tell. At a minimum, I think we’ll see a Level update somewhere during this event. Up to you if it’s worth still leveling up, buying things, etc. I definitely will stockpile a bunch of decorations for future designing.

  5. Hey all just wanted to say hi i am new to this site just happened on it.losts of great info

  6. Julie, they say we can converse here, so I will give it a try. My husband’s surgery is on the 5th. Looked at paperwork again when saw the 6th was a Saturday. They r removing three large dark places on him. My concern is because one is on his face and the other on his shoulder, the last is on his leg, that he will pick at them. They r large enough that there will be stitches. I guess time will tell. Are you still getting tagged? I think I saw some yesterday. U worked so hard and did all u could do. I have found with this event there r not that many buildings with money. Those houses sure came in handy. I am thinking people want their money, no matter what. Hope all is well today and your places r clean. Your friend and neighbor, Mary Jo

    • Hello dear..I’m sorry..just quick note to say I am off to specialists….it’s a three hour drive there and three hours back. But I will log in tonight my time and answer you properly.
Take care dear lady. Cheers, Julie

    • Argh!! I am totally exhausted….been gone from home for 10hours all up….and been put through the wringers with the physio and occupational therapist!! If I didn’t feel old before, I certainly do now,! Lol. I’m sorry Mary Jo…I promise I will sit and “chat” tomorrow my time…later today, your time. I may even have news of at least one of these grandbabies arriving when I do….we’ll see! Lol.
      Take care dear lady, Julie.

      • Julie, u rest up. Not sure what all u r going thru, but I do know, it gets harder as we get older. Grandbabies, huh? How exciting. Sounds like u had quite a drive. Is it me, or have u also found it hard to find 3 dollars in each of your towns? I have to make special trips to get it all. Sometimes I just don’t get back before it rolls over to a new day. Well, sweet lady, we can chat when u feel up to it. Mary Jo

      • Julie!!! What a bit of hell you must be going through. My heart goes out to you. And to make it worse – a waiting list. Australia ? I thought I was having insurance problems here in Florida.
I will be sending positive thoughts your way. Feel better soon and don’t give up on therapy.

      • Thanks Dee…just a bit unfortunate that we are in rural area and doctors prefer the coastal city areas so there is a waiting list on certain types of ops and of course, yours truly has to need THAT certain type of op….it will only take about 15-20mins to do but, with more urgent cases one keeps getting bumped back down…but now Andy has jumped on my case and things are starting to move forward so I am very happy about that. I usually am a crafty woman…lol…I love hand crafts, so I really miss not having hands, and of course, since my divorce I can’t play stay at home mum any longer, so once the hands are fixed…it will be a case of…..I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go!! Lol. Actually thankfully…for the moment I am still debt free…but work will relieve financial strain, but DAMMIT! Wot about my tap time?? Lol
        Cheers….Julie.

    • It’s four in the morning and once more, the dawning…actually it’s 6.30am but sun’s still not up properly here yet. Lol
      Hello Mary Jo,
What am I going through?? I have a slipped disc in my neck that gives me absolute gip, and to add to that, I have severe bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome….so this little tap tap game on the tap tap touch screen is heaven as it is one of the few things I can do with my hands that doesn’t involve gripping actions causing pain….so I LOVE it!!! Lol I had to see physio yesterday about my neck, but he also helps out with the wrists, and is instrumental in getting me boosted up the waiting list to see the doctors…I was on a three YEAR list, but am now on a less than twelve month waiting list! Extremely happy about that, as I am sole care giver to my grandson, and being out here in the bush, I need to drive A LOT and need my hands desperately, so we’re hoping I can have the op before Xmas or soon after now and then I will have hands again and then I can commit curry with a big stick!! Lol. Can’t do much for my neck except exercises to keep muscles from spasming too much and it is helping there….it’s just a pain that I have to travel the long distance to get the help…and of course I have to drive myself, so the wrists object etc etc….so yesterday the occupational therapist fitted special splint to the worst wrist, and I go back in two weeks for the splint for other wrist, and yesterday she also measured me up for compression gloves as my whole forearms are swelling due to the carpal tunnel being so restricted…which is really really bad and yesterday she noticed I have bruising on both wrists, which is even worse, so I think she is going to talk to the orthopaedics lot and I may just get bumped up that list a bit more! Apart from being a literal pain in the neck, I’m fine! Lol….my son said…aren’t you lucky the pain isn’t in your tail bone then you’d be a pain in the butt!! Lol….I have lovely sons! Lol
No new grandbaby to tell you about I’m afraid…Lauren had some real strong pains last night, but then they just disappeared again! She’s not actually due till next week on my birthday, but bub has been doing this little joke thing for the past week and a bit…here I come…oh no I’m not! Lol. And no movement on the baby to the north of me either…that wee one will be C section on 15th if nothing before hand….Jenn has gestational diabetics, so they are monitoring her and bub very carefully. And people ask me if I ever get bored!! HOW?? Lol
The moderator is now going cross eyed, and all these letters are falling from their ears as they try to decipher all that I have written, so I will close it there and wait for your reply. Lol
      Cheers, Julie.

      • Wow!!! U r really going thru hell. I wish I could give u a big hug. I worry about my husband, but at least, thank God, I am in good health. I saw u hadn’t been tagged today, u were all in tack as I pasted thru. Knew there was others worse off then me, and sorry to hear, u r one of them. If u don’t mind, I will say a prayer for you. U have such a big heart and u r a fighter. Sounds like u need to be both. R u really going to go to work? I love hand crafting also. Hard to do when the temperature is in the 100’s. I live in sunny California. Love the winters. Sorry to hear u just went thru a divorce. That is hard. I did it a couple of times. Yuk. Well, I am jumping all over the place with this conversation. Hope u can make heads or tails with it. We have a lot to talk about, so guess I will slow down and not try to get everything into this one sitting. Big hug to u, sweet lady. I like that we can have these talks. Thanks The Wookiee. Mary Jo

      • Hey again Mary Jo. You’ve been thru divorce a couple of times? Oh my! Once has been a big enough trial for me…it was completely out of the left field after 35 years of marriage so an enormous sense of betrayal to try to overcome. Thankfully my kids have all been there for me…I have four sons and just the one gorgeous red headed daughter! She’s my ‘baby’ at 32 years. It’s been a tough 3 years but I’m getting there. Yes I do need to go to work to support my darling kiddo….Jamie is nearly 15, so he’s able to help himself a lot if I need to work outside of school hours. The problem is finding work way out here in middle of nowhere in a mining community…and I have always been a stay at home mum, so it’s a tad daunting thinking of going back into the workforce after so many years, but others have done it, and so can I! (I hope!) lol
It gets damn hot here too…we had three Xmas days in a row where the temp maxed at 47 degs Celsius…which I think is close to your 120degs. Not pleasant and at moment we are going thru a dry spell. Walking around the yard you can feel the grass breaking under your feet…and we haven’t come into summer yet…just started our spring! Not looking forward to summer this year..think it’s going to be a scorcher, and the bush fires have already started out around the mine site. Also snake season now as well…so just another plus to being an Aussie! Lol. I had one trying to come inside a few weeks ago actually but it was a tree snake so not venomous. What joy! Lol I have the ultimate defence against snakes…I squawk like a strangulated duck and that seems to frighten them away! Lol…that and a big piece of plaited wire! Or shovel! Both work fine! Lol. The time difference isn’t helping our conversations at all…it is now 11.30pm and I need to get some shut eye…but will check in again tomorrow. Take care dear lady, Julie.

      • Julie, how long have u lived where u r now? Didn’t u say u were a nurse? It sounds like u r going to have a long drive to get a job, right? U impress me as a very strong lady and I believe after all u have been through, u have to have good things now. I understand we r not given more then we can handle. I hope it starts moving up for u. Thirty-five years., that is amazing that after that time, u got a divorce. My heart breaks for u. I am glad that u have five wonderful children that r there for u.
Sounds like your weather is like ours. We r going thru the third yr of a shortest of rain and they r really getting tight with everyone about using water. Also, we have many fires. Some from people and others from nature.
I am thinking u r probably in your fifties. U made it sound like you were old. Lol. I am 71. Now that is old. Lol. Well, my husband is starting to eat somethings, I am so glad. Hope u start feeling better, emotionally and physically. Sending all my support and caring. Mary Jo

  7. I wonder if it’s just me, or if the game continuously crashes for anyone else. It used to run smoothly, being able to run through my neighbors without interruption, now it crashes about every 10-20min. It seems more like a hassle, now, playing the game, neighboring friends and doing missions.

    • I don’t think I have ever been able to run through all my friends without it crashing. Don’t know why EA haven’t fixed this one.

      • I want to say it’s because it’s required online like Family Guy, but Family Guy is far more user friendly as far as being able to play for extended periods, so it must be EA’s fault. And because it likes crash when you’re visiting other’s places, whether neighboring to sending in Nerds, it takes away the fun, and turns it into a hassle.

        • It can be a mix of your device, the way it handles the game, as well as your neighbors. For instance, when my B game was too full (Wookiee had this happen too) there was too much going on that it not only booted me out but all my neighbors. I notice this a LOT with bigger events and neighbors with cramped and over flowing towns. Too much for the devices to handle so they kick you out of the game.

Ways to combat this is make sure you got LOTS of extra space for the app to run on. STRONG WiFi signal as data plans fluctuate too much in a lot of areas and can’t carry the game well. Make sure you are not pushing item limits in your town. See if it happens to specific neighbors over and over…if that is the case and same issue with same neighbor…it could be THEIR town is too full and cramped and sadly…you may have to stop visiting them.

  8. I have farmed houses — and used land for vast amounts of ‘other stuff’ — i was about to have 100 Million $ when i learned, HERE, about buying/selling Bloodmobiles for Donuts — i cycled more than 100 that way — problem it caused was Setting My Quest so dang high ! Now i must earn more than 2 Million XP to complete it ! I am not merely hoping for a new level — but wondering ? Will THAT re-set my XP qouta DOWN, again, to some sort of ‘decent’ level ? NOW having a House Farm MIGHT BE Needed !!! Also, have been ‘locked into’ a 500 Friend Requests quaqmire where i am Unable to Access my Friends — EA tells me its Too Many Requests screwing up the works ! I DO like this quest coz it ALLOWS me to score points by Random Attacks versus FRIENDS that i can not reach !!! (I too noted : i AM revisiting the SAME relatively FEW ‘random’ cities, many of whom are below level 15 ! That rhis is either a Very Small ‘pool’ or Not At All ‘random’ seems apparent — perhaps INITIALLY several got ‘assigned’ to me, and THEN they Remain so — without ‘drawing’ any Additional Ones ?) House Farming got me speedily ‘up to snuff’ — i leveled up very quickly — not using ‘real’ money, it HELPED me ‘earn’ all sorts of things that, undoubtedly, i would OTHERWISE have lost out on ! And, hey — like with me, you can always Sell Off ‘excess’ homes, versus not being able to earn points as fast with out them … Don’t want a Farm, gain back the land AFTER having profited by their presence !

  9. Question for all: as a freemium character, I get super excited when I start getting close to the 200 donut mark. What would you do with 200 donuts? What would you buy? Would you hold onto them and wait for Gil? What has been your favorite premium purchase to date? Just wanted some input from my tsto friends!

    • I recently saved up 250 to get Barney’s Bowlerama. Very pleased with it but was then gutted when Gil’s deal for Otto’s bus came along and i had no donuts left. Am now waiting for Gil deals before i spend.

    • My #1 pick continues to be Otto and his bus. Ultimately it’s up to you. Back in January, the Addicts team did this post with our top 10. Maybe it’ll help you out.

      http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/01/01/qa-the-addicts-team-top-10/

    • Agreed. Otto is a great deal but man was I p*ssed after I bought it and two weeks later he was the Gill deal. Personally, I just say say check the Addicts’ Top 10. Solid picks all around. If you sit around waiting for the next “deal” you’ll be waiting a long time. The last “deal” before Otto was the insanely expensive Gold House and before that it had been like 6 months or something for the Krustylu Studios and Dr Nick deal, which was really only around 20 donuts less combined. I guess what I’m saying is: just buy what YOU want and play and have fun. The odds that Gill’s next deal will be great or what you actually want are pretty slim.

  10. I was so glad to see more land available, but oh boy, is it ever expensive!

  11. Has anyone else noted on their random pillaging that there are a LOT of new / low level players? Did they just jump on because of the COC content? Do we think they will stay? Are they really Simpsons fans? I am dubious but EA sure figured out how to seduce new players in.

  12. I’m wondering how random is random? I’m speaking of when we attack a random Springfield, I’m curious to know just how random it is really. Often I feel like I arrive in some of the same Springfields I’ve been to before. While this is possible in randomness, just how probable is it? I mean, to my understanding there are a great deal of players of TSTO. Granted, not all of them are playing at the moment or started this event. I am level 43 and it seems like most of the times, I am randomly deposited in another Springfield at level 43. Are most active users topped out at 43 now? Perhaps. I get other levels too, but as I said, it seems like 75% of the times, I land on a Springfield on level 43. It could just be that most active users are on 43 now. Curious if EA perhaps has any built in preferences for the random selections… such as prefer towns at the same level as you or time zones (if EA even has a way of knowing what time zone you’re in, perhaps not). I could just be overthinking it.

Anyone else feel they visit the same towns sometimes with random attacks?

    • I’m level 43 also. However, I feel as though I’m most frequently attacking a much smaller town than mine.

    • I too am at Level 43, but most of the random towns I am sent to seem to be newbies under level 20.

    • Seems like I get the same ” random” towns over and over again. As if I have a group of 100-200 towns that are in my selection pool and I only get random visits to those. Sad, because first few days I was excited to see new towns.

    • Wouldn’t you know that after I posted this last night, I started to see other towns at levels other than 43 more often than not when I did a random attack. So I guess it does vary. That said though, I still feel that I tend to revisit some of the same towns over again when I do the random attack.

  13. Hey Alissa happy Sunday!
Wish I knew ahead of time you r down my way! If I you read this before you fly north get In touch. I would love to get together. Remember your sunscreen our sun down here is wicked! I’m sure it’s hot enough for you a mere 96 degrees here today plus humidity, so here comes the pool!
Hope everyone in Simpson land is having a great holiday. I’m having a great time watching marathon on FXX, so cool to see our towns on TV, makes me want to howl at the moon!

  14. Hi yall! I hope it’s not too late to turn in my photos for the Where in the World map. My husband and daughter went with me downtown ATX and we took ALL of our legos! Lol lots of fun! So we emailed some pictures this afternoon. Also, we are only missing grandpa and scratchy to complete the whole lego set……does anyone out there have an extra of those two? We would love to buy them. Thanks!

    • Not too late at all. Saw the message. I’m sure Alissa will be all over adding you to what we’ve received.

      • Thanks! Oh and my favorite spot in Florida so far hands down was the panhandle. Pensecola, Navarre and Destin. Haven’t been in a year now and wishing to be there now.

        • I loved Navarre Beach. Juana’s Pagoda is an amazing spot there. Destin also wasn’t shabby at all. While Orlando has some of my favorite theme parks, I really had a blast once at Clearwater Beach. Gotta say that was my favorite.

    • Nice to hear nice things about my home, thanks Wookiee. Often Florida is the news for something bad. I’m here in Milton which is between Pensacola & Navarre. Grew up, literally, in the water at Navarre Beach. And I agree, you can have some serious fun at Clearwater.

  15. This event was fun for a while, but I’ve got the balloon and the towers and my three castles are complete. Kinda boring now with only the catapult statue and banners remaining. It IS cool to see random springfields and see what neat things people have done. It also reveals how many towns just have all the buildings jammed together in the smallest space possible – ugh.

  16. I’m always excited for new content in the game, especially during events, but when I saw what this one was gonna be I was disappointed. I had no idea what I was gonna do with a medieval looking castle in my Springfield?
Then I remembered … I live about 20 minutes from the PA Ren Faire!
So I put up a moat and filled it with castles, a playground, the krustyland shuttle, the itchy and scratchy studio and some decor and turned it into Krusty’s Renaissance Faire.
Now I’m totally pleased with this event. 🙂

  17. I have a question regarding the Gold you get on the update. Some of the tasks are asking me to spend gold to upgrade the characters but does this take away from the gold total you need to get the prizes such as the air balloon? I am afraid to upgrade and spend the gold making it harder to get the next prize ( for me it is the balloon)

  18. I for one NEED the event to last long as I am ONCE AGAIN getting kicked out of the game very time I try to visit friends or attack neighbors. I am at EA’s mercy to fix it, but in the latest communication the (Bwahahahahahah – “customer service” – Bwahahahahaah) guy told me to just wait and see if they upload a patch that will take care of it. So here I sit with just over 3000 gold, not enough elixir to upgrade my main castle, let alone Lisa and Bart’s…..
My only hope is for my friends to visit and attack me! So if you are done and just want to help someone out who can’t play themselves….

  19. Finished the quest line, got the 15 donuts and all my prizes and it’s not even September yet O.o

  20. Ah yes ! The gulf coast of Florida. I hope you had a good time. Living down near St Petersburg for a few years now. THIS SITE ROCKS !!!

  21. I liked this event in the beginning.. But after the main questline ends it’s extremely boring just because I don’t care for the prizes (I’m on the hot air balloon) so i have nothing too strive for. I get that parodies are a Simpson thing, but this whole idea just seemed pointless for the game. The updates lately (lvl 40, 43 and COC more specifically) have brought irrelevant characters to the game, EA could do a lot better. Chester Dupree? Really? a Barbarian? Heres hoping they will bring classic Simpson characters/decorations/buildings soon! THATS the reason many started playing to begin with. IMHO.

    • I agree I’d love to see more classic Simpsons stuff. There’s speculation about a bit but we don’t post the rumors here because then we’ll all be talking about the Giant Toilet which never comes. I know for a fact FOX and EA read sites like ours so all we can do is express our opinions and hope they listen.

      • I just hope this wasnt the “crazy banana update” that was planned.. I know it’s impossible to please everyone, but it seems few
People are pleased. Maybe theres more in store since it’s so long, and so easy

        • We can all hope. You know what they say about wishing though. You do it in one hand and something in the other and one fills up faster. I’m thinking we’ll at least see a level update. I wouldn’t describe this as crazy bananas and was thinking that referred to an upcoming episode tie-in but who knows.

  22. Hello to all the other hopelessly addicted simpson people 🙂 I would just like to say I have been so entertained by the nonstop simpson marathon on fxx… I actually scroll thru them and see which ones are my favorite and dvr them… you know, all the best ones and ALL the Halloween episodes and ive actually managed to find a handful ive never seen!! I guess that tends to happen when u have a thousand seasons heheh…. anyway, I have like 50 episodes on there rt now….. im also very much looking forward to the famous crossover episode of simpsons and family guy which I now know is gonna be the season premiere 😀 Its gonna be epic

  23. I love invading random people’s towns, but some of them are so fantastic, I wish I could have them as my neighbor/friend!!! So sad for me.

  24. Any tips anyone has on how to earn money fast?

    • There are quite a few strategy suggestions in the comments of different posts from this event. Here’s my thoughts: If your neighbors aren’t attacking regularly. I’d suggest sending one nerd per building to random towns. Lots of tappers have been claiming big payouts doing this. If you’re sending nerds at a time most people are sleeping, you can send more to try and destroy buildings.

      • Thank you, but I want cash not coins. Any tips for that?

        • Oh sorry… my mind is a bit besotted by this event. Tappers looking to earn game cash quickly often resort to housefarming. Basically setting up a ton of houses close to each other to earn extra money. Seems a lot of people prefer the blue and white houses for this because of their timers. I never went this route as I don’t like the look of it. Up to you. As you progress in the game, your earning will increase a lot. If anyone reading this is a house farmer, please feel free to add your thoughts.

      • WanderingCaveman

I had a house farm for a while when I was unlocking land. I went with the blue houses both because of the 8 hour payout and the fact that you can fit 8 houses perfectly into each parcel of land. When I finally shored all of my blue houses I had well over 600 of them.
I do agree with Wookiee that the house farms do not look grate. My advice, if you are going to go that route, is to keep the house farm in a section off to the side or the bottom of your town so that it is less off putting to your neighbors.

      • Totally totally agree. 1 nerd per building per town. The exception being if they have multiple castles to attack then attack all that are available (1, 2 or 3). If you want to get really hardcore, only put nerds on castles in random towns. Attacking neighbors or putting multiple nerds on buildings seems to be a waste. Much better to put 8 nerds on 8 castles in 8 random towns and take the 12 hours risk as opposed to 8 nerds on 1 building to try and get it down to 4 hours.

I was thinking of writing this strategy up for TSTO Addicts readers who are behind on gold/elixir. The thing is, all my 100 neighbors I found on this sites…so they are active. So the odds of full payouts are super super slim. Strangers and low level players have a mucccch higher chance of payout.

45 nerds twice a day give huge results. Oh, and if you can only place 45 nerds once a day, do it in the evening. Having them attack overnight greatly increases the full payout chances (this is from a US perspective).

My last 4 mornings, when I wake up to see how the nerds have done, have been:

        6392 elixir, 2267 gold
        4630, 1652
        5915, 2085
        2835, 1012

Do this and you will catch up on Bunny’s gold calendar fast. Hope this helps.

    • Whoops. I too, was thinking the same as Wookiee in regards to this event/coins/elixir. Still, that post applies.

I would say blue houses are the way to go, There’s a youtuber called adiposeTV I believe that breaks down the pros and cons of each house in TSTO. After watching that, and seeing how I play (a couple times a day–amd and pm) I decided that blues are best for me.

  25. Happy Sunday to all! Im hoping for Level 44 this week with content that actually has appeared in the Simpsons. I like the event, but events based on the series are better imo. Maybe a Back to School update. Cannot wait for this years Halloween update.

  26. Yep I’ve figured out this event where you you just send one nerd to do all your work now I’m a week ahead 😆, so my question is do you get donuts after getting all the prizes?

  27. Been watching the marathon when I can. It is fun seeing the episodes I missed during and after my college years when I did not have cable.

Not a huge fan of this event at all. It is very poorly explained and just plain not fun. If I wanted a medieval strategy game I would play one. Makes me miss Easter honestly.

I work retail, can you kindly explain this “holiday” concept I have heard so much about?

    Still hunting down Lego Apu.

  28. WanderingCaveman

I’ve been catching episodes of the Simpsons marathon here and there. Caught the Princess Penelope episode last night. Having not seen the episode before, it was cool to see where the character came from.

I’m enjoying the event, but apparently my phone is not. It’s taken to crashing periodically while I’m visiting friends (or just crashing at random while I’m playing FGTQFS). I’ve tried a bunch of Bunny’s suggestions to avoid the crashes and they seem to work about 75% of the time… I guess it’s time to look into a phone upgrade : (

  29. Anyone watching the FXX marathon see the promo for the upcoming season where someone dies? Was krustys dad in it? Also, wasn’t there a tweet about something big coming about bananas? Was the CoC event it?

  30. On holiday from work and been back in my home town for a few hours now to spend nearly a week with my parents, brother and sister. Looking forward to being able to catch up with all of my family and friends here plus devote more time to my Springfield than I have been able to lately.
All I need now is the weather to be better than last week’s was. If EA would like to also throw in a level update then that would be perfect. I’ve finished the main quest line now of the Clash of Clones event and am just steadily working towards gold and elixir.
