I’ve been trying to buy donuts via my kindle since the deal appeared, however, every time i try to do so, I only see the option to buy cash with donuts. Today – finally, it connected me to the donut deal. Just bought $50 worth via amazon, have the receipt from amazon confirmed in my email etc, however donuts not delivered – error messge – “having trouble connecting to the Amazon app” (something like that. Can’t get the exact error message because now – the game is crashing again just like it did on Cmas eve! OH My! This season update has soooo many glitches!

You’ll have to get access to his account to purchase donuts for him for the deal. Or you can get him a gift card for the platform he uses, but by that time Gil might be gone.

Wow, trying contact ea for because i bought a boatload and recieved no donuts, there wait time is crazy. i would rather send them a email, then wait for a live chat thats time frame seems to never decrease, 55-90 mins is absurd. But the email option is behind “the live chat wall” do u guys know anyway around it?

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that Ebay is doing a deal that you buy a digital Itunes gift card for $85 that’s really worth $100. I did it and it’s not a fake. Hey I just bought a heap of Christmas donuts and didn’t get them 🙁 trying to find a way to contact EA but can’t seem to find anything.. Can someone point me in the right direction??
I waited over an hour and a half to have EA support tell me that so many people have reported the issue with not getting donuts and that they are no longer taking care of people individually and trying to do a mass fix. I bought the boatload and am REALLY upset that I’m missing out on getting some of these limited time holiday items as they have no ETA on the fix. I’ve asked that they call me tomorrow to discuss.

Yes – I made a purchase through Amazon (using Amazon coins) on Christmas Day and had no problems (and got 25% of my coins back on a $10 (1000 coins) purchase). 🙂
Anyone buy donuts during this Gil deal and NOT have some crazy weird glitch/crash/missing donuts happen?
Btw, Amazon users, if you use Amazon coins and the above happens to you, EA will not be able to do anything for you as the purchase comes through Amazon. Save yourself 45 minutes on the phone only to be told to contact Amazon (which, incidentally, couldn’t help me either even after clearing data, cache, resyncing, and uninstalling the app). Decided just to get refunded. Sucks, was really hoping to finally take advantage of Gil’s deal this time around.
Not me. I decided to wait until the wee hours and hopefully avoid the server congestion, but to no avail. I can’t even get into the game… at 3:30 in the AM EST!!! I just keep getting Bart giving me his ‘tude 😫
I had no problems using iTunes gift card I bought. Doughnuts appeared right away. That sucks you’re having issues, I hope you get it resolved.
Best Buy is having a sale for 10% off 100.00 iTunes card. They also are giving a 10 dollar best buy gift card with it. So that’s like $80.00 for a $100.00 card. Combine that with Gil’s deal you can last on doughnuts for quite a while. That is average 6.67/month for this game. In comparison to my MMO days when I was subscribing for 15.00/month, I’ll take it.
i want buy gil’s deal but i am afraid that i dont get my donuts i wont even know where to check the receipt when you buy donuts i have done it before but i dont get any mail that i bought it my tabled shows i message that i bought donuts but when i shove that message away i cant find it back anyomore so should i take the risk of taking gil’s deal or are things fixed already that you get your donuts now? 🙂
If you have an issue getting them you just contact EA. Try screenshotting things as you do it..see if that helps. Your receipt should be emailed to the account your game is linked to (via your App store). If you don’t see it check Spam…or contact the App Store to ask where it is. I know iTunes usually takes 24hrs to send it…for whatever reason.
i did find where to find receips from my previous stransactions to get donuts but still i am afraid to buy the gil deal cuz i see a lot of peeps complaining here about not getting any and when i buy donuts is the boatload so its a lot of money 😀 maybe i should just give it a try and if i dont get any are there like walktroughs to contact EA? btw ty for responce alissa 🙂
It is a great deal…if anything…set up a contact with EA and do it WHILE they are on the line with you.
i just bought the deal and got donuts i tested it with the cheapest one first to see if i got donuts and yes i got them so then i bought boatload now i have a lot of donuts for next events 😀 btw anyone else experiencing some lag in the game? 🙂
Ya, EA is ripping people off on Xmas, taking money out of all our accounts and not giving what they promise in return. They’re truly a rotten company. After 3 years of being addicted to this game I now despise it. They can keep my money because I’ll never buy another EA game again, on Xbox, my phone or any other platform. This is seriously the 3rd time they’ve ripped me off and now I have to once again spend more time fighting for my money back. I love this blog, but I do now seriously hate this game!
I am unfortunately not able to purchase donuts, as my game crashes everytime. The first time, attempt to purchase pop-up that TappedOut has stopped, but still had purchase box. Did not purchase. Game was still open after x’ing out. That was yesterday. Waited, in case there was a server overload or something. Tried again today. Same issue. Except I went along with the purchase. Game was closed this time after completing purchase. Reopened game, no items. Checked account for withdrawal. In pre auth now. And EA says can take up to 30min for purchases to appear. So I’ll wait a bit for both timeframes and then send a support ticket/check forums if not resolved.

Exactly the same happened to me.
Anyone notice that none of the bonus amounts are 30%? Like a dozen… Expect 3 donuts not 1! Only exception is the boatload.
I think they (EA) meant to say “up to 30%”… like most sales: “save up to xx%” where you only get that savings at the most expensive or biggest bill.
So, there is one that is 30%… which is what they said.
It is ALSO in the picture on this very post… “up to 30%”. The boatload being the biggest payout. 🙂
Yeah well I just watched my friend the other day spend just $0.99 (after doing a survey for Google) and he won the 100 free donuts

I haven’t been able to log onto my game all day. It crashed during my purchase of donuts and won’t open anymore. Tried contacting ea havnt heard back. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem. Not impressed after all the money I have spent in Donuts

Lisa what phone number did you call I still don’t have them. I have contacted them through a Google Wallet on the receipt.

Jumped on the Boatload of donuts, 3120 donuts was to hard to resist. game crashed during the purchase and I didn’t receive them. Took a little while to get help, but contacted ea and got my donuts. Though they fudged up and accidentally gave me double. 6000+ donuts to work with…Merry Christmas to me.

I am in the same boat. Game crashed, and EA on holiday with no method of contact active. Really hoping they can restore them before the limited items go away, because thats why I bought…
Have the same problem. Bought 132+18 but the game crashed but the purchase was authenticated and charged. Donuts didn’t get added but I tried buying a dozen more and they went through but still without the original batch. Hopefully emailing EA now will get me a response before the limited time items are gone.

I just spent $10 on doughnuts as part of Gil’s deal and the game crashed. I check my cc online balance and the money was taken out. I just un-installed the game and re-installed. Still no doughnuts. I have contacted Ea several times about smaller issues like game play and connectivity issues with no luck. I’m so sick of spending money on this game and not getting my worth out of it. I’m a very frustrated tapper right now.
You’ve got to contact EA with it. They’ll ask for the receipt as well. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow though (the 26th) when they’re back up to get assistance…since they’re down for Christmas. Also try to contact them after 9am EST…then you should get the “Call Me” option.
I contacted EA today about the issue.Had to wait for a long time but I got it resolved. My advice to everyone else is to be prepared to wait but they will make it right.
Fantastic! I had been collecting Speedy Rewards points for years with nothing to spend them on. I cashed out about 80K points for $70 in Amazon GCs in anticipation of Gil showing up this Christmas season. Combined with the $38 I had in my iTunes account from various promotions and birthday gift cards, I had just enough to get a Boatload.
Barney’s Bowlarama, Stu’s Disco, Luann & the Cracker Factory, and a ton of other items I’ve been waiting to get… you’re all mine now! It’s a Christmas Miracle!

It started at noon EST yesterday. Homer has a task to Beg the Elves to stay. Then follow the questline…it will guide you 🙂
