Posted on November 15, 2017 by | 50 comments

Salutations Senors, Senoras, Senoritas, Statisticians & Strategists,

(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter ‘S’)

Hi, I’m Super Safi and you may remember me from such stats and strategy posts as KEM Farming and the advanced losing-to-win Superheroes battle strategy.

What better way to spend your time than talking math. So from time-to-time, I’ll come to you with a post that delves into the wonderful world of numbers, stats, and/or strategies.

While we’ve previously discussed Springfield Downs and the Go Kart Track a couple months ago, this month we’ll continue to look at most of the Minigames found within our game. After discussing Scratch-R’s on Friday, we continue our journey today with Conquer The Eliminator!

Turbo Tappin’ (Animal Free) Thanksgiving 2017: Main Questline and Prizes

Posted on November 15, 2017 by | 132 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s the holiday season! Here in America we’re gearing up for Thanksgiving…the one holiday that stands between us and Christmas….so naturally the Simpsons have to celebrate!  While I think it would have been awesome to get a confetti shooting Homer balloon from last Sunday’s episode, this mini event is fun too!

Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes.  As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer the Heretic and the Most Dangerous Game before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.

So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the Animal saving inspired prizes…

NOTE FROM PATRIC- I was one of you…no iOS. It landed this morning (11/15). HOWEVER…it didn’t just “show up.”  I needed to shut down my device completely…as in all the way off, not just clicking the screen. Shut. Down. Then go into the app store…and do a search for “The Simpsons Tapped Out.” That finally brought up the new updated screen.  Please try that before you write, reinstall, or freak out any further…Thanks!!

THOH Update Removal is Live…And So is Thanksgiving (Updated and Complete)

Posted on November 14, 2017 by | 361 comments

Note: Yup, the update is still not available on iOS.  Happens sometimes.  May be a bug with it, could be Apple holding it up…at this point it’s available on Android and Amazon. EA typically releases updates for all 3 markets at the same time, and then it’s up to each App Store to approve them, some move slower than others. (which is why Amazon is often late)  This has happened with other games as well (see TQFS)…unfortunately just a little patience is required.  Hopefully it’ll hit iOS soon….

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Check your app stores because there’s an update on our hands!

And i’m actually pleasantly surprised by EA…as a nice touch they’ve added Turkeys to the Splash Screen and Icon….i don’t recall them doing that ever unless it was for a major event.

Two thumbs up with that EA, good job and a nice touch.

And of course, as you may have guessed, this leads right into the Thanksgiving mini-event!  No waiting!

I’ve got a LOT going on at work right now, so I’ll fully update this post later.  But for now know that you’ll need to complete Lisa’s first 6s task and that will launch the mini-event…

Now let’s go into more details…. Continue reading →

Posted on November 14, 2017 by | 43 comments

THOH XXVIII Prize Guide: Act 3, Prize 7 Count Dracula

Posted on November 13, 2017 by | 34 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the third act, you’re tasked with collecting Toad Princes () to unlock each prize!

The seventh (and final) act 3 Prize awarded at 31,200 is Count Dracula, because why not throw in a character that makes no sense with the rest of this update as the final prize…

So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Addicts Open Thread

Posted on November 12, 2017 by | 199 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So, here is your Open Thread…..

Our favorite Yellow Family is back tonight with an all-new episode! Will you be watching?  What do you think will happen in the new episode?

We’re in the final countdown of the THOH event!  Event ends on Tuesday (the 14th), are you ready?  Did you enjoy the event?  Positives/negatives? Ready for what’s next?  What do you think the next update will bring?

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that today is the Tiny Addict’s 2nd Birthday!  Can you believe she’s 2 already?  I know I can’t!  We celebrated yesterday with a Minnie Birthday party (you can see some photos on my Instagram) and today we’re off to the zoo (after a breakfast of donuts, of course)!

How was the rest of your weekend?  Do anything fun and exciting?

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, Update fun, or anything else you can think of! (Just no politics, it never ends well)  Can’t wait to chat with you all, you know we love hearing from you!

Have Fun!  And happy Sunday!

And for those of you who love watching her grow..here’s her birthday video we did.  A look back at the year from 1-2…
