Moe’s Ark Removal Update Available

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Officially back from my maternity leave from the site…a few hours early, but that’s ok.  Hopefully y’all didn’t give Patric too hard of a time.  I know he did a great job filling in for me, and I know it wasn’t easy.  Especially since I’m crazy OCD about how things are done around here lol.

Anyway…popping in a few hours early to let you know the Moe’s Ark Removal update has hit the stores. Here’s a look at the update description…

Personally, I’m hoping that census comment means that Townhall will finally be easy to search feature…

Downloading this will prep your game for a mini update that’s slated to hit tomorrow. You can download it now (it won’t impact the Moe’s Ark prize track or update content) or you can wait until tomorrow to download it.  However, you will need to download it to start the next update…

And remember, when the timer runs down on Moe’s Ark the event will be over.  You won’t be able to earn the prizes you missed out on for free.  So use all the time you have left if you’re still behind on the prize track.

Anywho, I’ll be back tomorrow once the mini event hits (as far as content, let’s just say it’ll be something Super …and in my opinion something super bad and overplayed…) so for now enjoy your night and the calm before the storm….

Friday Filler – Deja Vu All Over Again

Thank Grog It’s Friday!

Yes. As the song by “The New Pornographers” says, “We’ve Been Here Before.”

For many of us, this feels like “Deja Vu all over again…”  I love the phrase, which is attributed to Yogi Berra, my favorite Yankee of all time, on and off of the field. He was famous for his mangled use of phrases, (see some here) which always made sense….while being hilariously ambiguous. Two of my favorites are, “Always go to other people’s funerals, or they won’t come to yours,” and “nobody goes there anymore…it’s too crowded.” But I digress…

But, if it feels like we have seen “Moe’s Ark” before….it’s because we have. Kinda…

If you played the the “Christmas/Winter/Solstace” (it was convoluted) update in December 2015, then you likely already have “Moe’s Petting Zoo” in your Springfield.

So this entire event, may feel a bit like, “We’ve done this before.” Because, we have…kinda.  But, in many respects, I’m going to have to say that like it or not (I’m not a huge fan), EA is listening to us once again, at least about a handful of things that we were complaining about. In this case, it’s not so much the content, as the way they played their hand(s) at placating some of the problems.

Moe’s Ark Act I – Prize Guide – Discount Lion Safari Entrance

There is a whole story arc that comes with the Ark, but none of it is actually related to the “Ark” mythology, thankfully. This all has to do with Moe’s ability to snatch animals, and have the good citizens of Springfield do their best to build, man, and promote the Springfield Zoo, which is not to confused with Moe’s Petting Zoo…even it had nothing to do with Moe being petted.

The first “Major Prize” on the Prize Track is the Discount Lion Safari Entrance

Moe’s Ark – Act One Calendar and Numbers You Need to Get It All

I am a little bit worried, I have to admit.  The last time there was an Ark floating around, it signaled a “Great Flood” that washed away all of the sinners of the world.  Now…with the current heat conditions and fires out west, I’m not saying we couldn’t use a little water. But, if the Ark signals something else…I’m fine to pass on this event.

You don’t feel the same?  You are all jacked up about getting a whole mess of animals and places to put them? You aren’t worried about getting left behind?

Well…I’ve SEEN the Ark…and it really is a wonder to behold…even if  it might leave you behind.

Let’s take a look at what you will have to do to “Get it ALL!” at least in Act I…but, be forewarned, “Greed” is one of the sins that got a bunch of folks left on “the wet side.”

Moe’s Ark Is Live! Act 1 Details and Rundown (Updated and Complete)

Yup the servers may be down for some of you.  This shouldn’t be a surprise at this point.  Since moving the update time to 10am ET they’ve crashed nearly every time a new act hits…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s update Wednesday!  Woohoo!  Who’s excited for all new content in TSTO?  After all that downtime (seriously was a SLOW July) everyone should be excited for something…anything to hit our games!

Well…that something has arrived!  As Moe’s Ark is now officially live in our Pocket-Sized towns! Yes, that’s right my friends log into your Springfield’s to see all the zoo raising fun.  Or just to see what items are available for you to throw donuts at…

Anywho, remember this was an app store update that hit our games YESTERDAY.  So if you didn’t download the update check your app store for it now…we’ll wait.  (if you don’t see it listed in your update section try searching the store for Tapped Out)

Everyone got it?  Good. Great. Grand.  Let’s get started…

As I’ve mentioned several times over the last few days, this update kicks off with a task for THREE of the Simpsons to complete.  So be sure you have at least 3 free. And more details are below the fold…

Moe’s Ark Update in App Store, but NOT Live in Games

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Yes, the Moe’s Ark update has hit our app stores.  Yes, it’s a day earlier than expected.  And no, nothing is wrong with your game…it’s not supposed to trigger yet.

If you’ve downloaded the update from the app store you’ll see that the splash screen and icon have changed, however, nothing else has.  This is because the update is NOT set to trigger until TOMORROW, August 1st, at 10am ET.

Which means…you won’t see anything new in your game until TOMORROW at 10am ET.  So don’t panic!

So basically right now Springfield is EXACTLY the same as it was an hour ago.  Nothing has changed except the Splash Screen and Icon.

Once it’s live tomorrow we’ll be back with all of the Act 1 details…until then it’s business as usual for the residents of our Pocket-Sized Springfields….
