WABAC Where Did THAT Come From – King Snorky

Well hello there fellow Addicts… how’s life?

In the steady grind of tapping in the free world, we sometimes see decorations and buildings and take them for granted.  While this is understandable, we may not realize that a great majority of items in TSTO actually come from the amazing show the game is based on.  With that in mind, Bunny and I aim to periodically provide you the origin info for decorations and buildings we missed, ignored or haven’t covered yet.  Time is a fickle thing (timey wimey even) and as Einstein said, “The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.”  There’s often not enough time in the TSTO continuum to do origins for everything, but while we have some, we’ve called on Mr. Peabody to help us along.  We’re using his WABAC (pronounced way back) Machine to go back in TSTO time.  With that premise, we bring you WABAC Where Did THAT Come From.  This particular journey is for King Snorky.

Weekend Update November 3rd – November 9th

Wow, what a crazy week huh? We saw the last of the Halloween Event roll on out, all the limited time items removed, and now it is shining bright outside with a new level, 37. Miss anything? Trying to catch up? Well Bunny here again, running crazy and free out of the basement still (Shhhhhh…no one has to know), bringing you another Weekend Update.

What’s The Delay??!!

Many of you are sitting patiently waiting for the change to hit. Trust me, I am too. Level 37 is just sitting there waiting to jump on in, alas…technical issues with its release created a delay. Just how long I do not know yet.

weekend update

As the usual cruel Bunny that I am (I got horns under this halo), I will not post any spoilers just yet as to the new content. But if you REALLY want some…and ask nicely…I just may. 🙂 I can tell you that we will be getting a new male and female character. Both will come with new buildings. One for in game cash, the other for donuts (you know EA is gonna do that from now on). We will get a new decoration, a new vehicle (kinda), and another random donut item.

The quest lines look pretty cool so far. Something to keep yah busy anyway and take your mind off the Halloween mist and ghosts. We will start posting the first of the Walkthrough’s once the new level is released. Also, as usual, we will go into detail as to where those new items came from and give you a little background.

So sit tight, keep on tapping, or crying, or yelling…just don’t throw your phone…you’re gonna need it.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

Tick tock, tick tock. There is now less than 1 hour left on the countdown clock.

Final Halloween Hour

Better hurry up and buy up all those items you waited on. Hit those last Goo Goals. Collect the last of the ghosts that you can and see if you can acquire more free donuts.

Just get it done NOW! Halloween is finally coming to a close.

…and just what comes next? Stay tuned to find out. 🙂

UPDATE: Countdown is over. Nothing there now but a blank screen. Oh EA, why must you torment us so? So…sometime…maybe…in the next 22 1/2 hrs…it will stop.

THE END IS NEAR!!!

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

My Goo Count is Off- Update

A bit a go I posted in regards to the STILL ongoing issue with the Goo count just not matching up with the Spooktacular Bonus count. Not to mention sometimes just not getting one. I have been in constant contact with EA on the issue. Phone calls, emails, online chats, etc. I FINALLY got an update back. A little late for my taste as the event is about over, but at least they are trying to correct issue.

Should I Spend Donuts on the Freakmobile

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Freakmobile to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this store to your Springfield.

For our last but certainly not least Halloween donut Premium item, we will let our TSTO Addicts Forum Moderator Poisonshift put in his two cents. 🙂

Tapped_Out_Freak_Mobile

Decoration:
 Freakmobile
Donut Price: 35 Donuts
Unique?: No

Pros:
-0.75% bonus money and XP to all Jobs.
-Since this item is not unique you can place several of them and reap the multiplier benefits!
-Another car!!! Well, that alone spells it.
-Limited-Time decoration.

Cons:
-After Halloween is over, this very creepy looking car wont mesh well with modern civilization, even in Springfield.
-Fairly expensive for only a quarter percent increase to your overall net.

Final Thought:
If you’re saving your donuts for something, save them for something else unless you’re a completest or you want more cars in your parking lot. If you want to put it somewhere when the event is over I would suggest near Frink’s Lab if you have it. And think of it as the Frinkmobile, he’s always got strange things going on over there and it could go well with a lab compound setup if you have one like I do. Honestly, I think this would be the last thing you would want to buy for the Limited Time Halloween event.

Should I Spend Donuts on the Wailing Wall and Spooky Wall

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Wailing Wall to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this store to your Springfield.

Tapped_Out_Wailing_Wall
Decoration:
 Wailing Wall
Donut Price: 50 Donuts
Unique?: No

Pros:
-Another spooky looking decoration for your town.
-You can add as many as you want to your town.
-Animation of faces pressing out through the wall.
-Releases Ghosts. 6 ghosts every 12 hours.
-Limited-Time Decoration.  Would look really cool as something to compliment/decorate with alongside the other Halloween items you have acquired in your town.

Cons:
-You already got one for free if you logged into your account on 10/31/2013 (USA).
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield
-Once event is over, it will really only be a decoration (unless EA allows it to continue to generate in game cash).

Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one isn’t worth it for me. 50 donuts is a lot to spend on a simple single decoration wall. The 2D/3D artist in me sees the value of designing with it, but the donut hoarder in me sees it as a waste at the high cost. So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters/buildings or you’re a completest, I would really wait on this one and save your donuts to decide towards the end of the event if you really want it.

Next up…

Wondering if you should also add the Spooky Wall to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this store to your Springfield.

Tapped_Out_Spooky_Wall

Decoration: Spooky Wall
Donut Price: 1 Donut
Unique?: No

Pros:
-Adds 0.05% bonus money and XP to all jobs.
-Unique looking wall to decorate with.
-Least expensive decoration of those offered for the event.
-Limited-Time Decoration.

Cons:
-No animation
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield

Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, this one is a difficult choice. I do like the extra multiplier you get for each one. The 2D/3D artist in me sees the design value in it. But also knowing just how many pieces it does take to make an item, several will be required to accomplish the task. (I normally use between 50+ walls in my designs). So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters/buildings or you’re a completest, I would really wait on this one and save your donuts to decide towards the end of the event if you really want it. Then stockpile a ton if you do, especially if you plan on creating something cool with them.

New Simpsons Episode and a Tribute

Good Evening Tappers. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. Just hopping by to see if any of you caught tonight’s new episode, Four Regrettings and a Funeral. It was an interesting one to say the least. I just wanted to get some readers feedback.

What did you think of the opening couch gag?

Do you remember Chip Davis?

Does Kiss music really effect babies while they’re in the womb? Really?

Do you have any regrets?

Is Bunny really crazy? (Lol, had to do it.)

Stay tuned for more on this episode from Wookiee. Until then…

HAPPY TAPPING!

***Bunny***
