The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! This multiverse event hit our devices and it’s full of alternate universe inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Anti Matter () to unlock each prize!
The third, and final, Act 3 Prize awarded at 8,250 is the Mecha Hawk, because it’s only fitting that we’d get the enemy we’ve been fighting the last month plus as our final prize
So let’s take a closer look at this final prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Just a reminder that the Sci-Fi Event Ends TOMORROW September 20th.
BUT just because the timer is running out doesn’t mean the Event will immediately leave your Springfield. It will take an App Store Update to remove the Event from our towns. And it’s likely that update won’t hit until later in the day on Tuesday.
However, as we’ve been seeing with the last few events, it’s entirely possible that once the timer runs out you’ll most likely no longer be able to earn Act 3 Prizes or Craft Act 3 items for free. So to be safe, get everything you can before it’s gone!
Also, the premium items WILL be leaving the stores when the timer runs out. Those are on a specific timer and will leave the store when their timer runs down. So if there’s a premium item you want grab it before it’s gone.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event…

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Anti Matter () to unlock each prize!
The second Act 3 Prize awarded at 5,500 is the Crazy Plane, because what would an update about deranged robots be with out a broken down, beat up airplane?
So let’s take a closer look at this second prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Popping in quick with a post about what to craft with all those Future Bucks when you’re all done crafting everything you really want in Springfield.
Or as a better way to put it…what’s the best item to craft over and over again to gain the most XP to increase your level up donuts.
For those who don’t know what XP farming is, it’s basically a method of turning on your XP Collider (yes even though it costs donuts) and then purchasing one item or another (Rat Trap Trucks and Bloodmobiles are the most commonly used) to gain loads of XP to level up quickly. Leveling up quickly results in free donuts (since you gain donuts each time you level up). Therefore XP farming = free donuts.

Now, what should you craft to get the most bang for those leftover future bucks? Let’s find out…

Update: Just about 5pm on the east cost of the US and I’m successfully back into my game….looks like EA’s rolling everyone back into their games. So hopefully if you’re stuck you’ll get back in shortly. 🙂
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just popping in with a quick update…looks like the servers are down once again. And it’s similar to what happened at the start of Act 2. (and this one is impacting me as well)
You go into your game and you get the dreaded Bart Screen. Then you hit retry and you get a popup saying you’ve logged out of your game, would you like to log in again. When you try to put your current password in it pops up saying an error occured. VERY ANNOYING.
And now i’m seeing this message when i hit login on the Splash Screen…
Not sure if they were hacked again, or something else is going on. But for now know that they’re down for many players…and more and more are realizing it as they approach their 4hr mark to log back in.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation here and see what if anything transpires…

Once Act2 is over you will no longer be able to earn Act 2 Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone!
