Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

A few weeks ago we celebrated our 1 year Blogiversary!!  And as part of the celebration we gave you guys the opportunity to ask us anything you’d like with the promise that we’d answer your questions (or as many as we could).  And boy did you guys come through big time for us!

Because it’s our 1 year Blogiversary….we wanted to do something extra special to answer the questions for you which lead to the creation of this fun little video!  Here you’ll get a peek inside our world…and get to see some of craziness that goes on whenever Bunny, Wookiee and I get together!  It was so much crazy that we had to break it into too parts!  (Part 1 can be viewed here) So here’s the long awaited part 2…. #warningitsevenlonger

Today marks the official 1 year anniversary of when TSTO Addicts was officially launched!  And honestly we’re stoked about it!  We’re completely blown away by the AMAZING community of readers we have here at TSTO Addicts.  We absolutely love what we do and really appreciate all of YOU!

Of course we’re no strangers to celebrating an anniversary around here!  We celebrated our 1 month anniversary way back when, and more recently our 6th month anniversary back in February.  We’re always celebrating little milestones with each other and we LOVE to share the bigger ones with you guys!  After all YOU guys are the heart and soul of this community….and we wouldn’t have it any other way!  So, Bunny, Wookiee and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our wonderful readers and share our thoughts on Addicts turning 1!  Continue reading →

Blogiversary Questionnaire: Ask The Addicts

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

We’re approaching the 1 year anniversary of TSTO Addicts (woo-hoo!!) and over the last year of blogging we’ve provided A LOT of information for the game itself, but not too much about us.  We’re always asking you guys about your thoughts on the game, and more about your lives (heck we asked you just about everything under the sun in the Blogiversary Poll Post)…and now is YOUR chance to return the favor!

Now is your chance to peak even MORE inside of our lives. What do YOU want to know about us?  Want to know about our tapping habits?  Our lives outside of the blog (we do have them!)?  Our family lives?  Our hobbies?  Our favorite color?  Anything you can think of ask away!

Feel free to post your questions here in the comments or email them to us (TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com).  We will then go through and answer as many questions as we can in one post this week.  (so try to get your questions in by Thursday, 8/14, night)

A Very Figgy Birthday and a Super Happy Wookiee

Well hello hello.  Another year older and another year (something something).

So first off, I just have to thank all of the readers here for all the birthday wishes last Friday.  While we do get a good amount of comments on posts regularly, seeing 89 comments, and only one was from my Mom, was really special. They say for every person that comments, nine others thought about it and didn’t and that number just blows my noggin.  Over a thousand of you just took the time to click the post.  Wowza.

I had a great bday as those things go and spent the day in Disneyland so I have no complaints at all.  Got some stuff from family and friends and all in all, it was just the sort of relaxation needed before batting down the hatches for finals preparation.  Special thanks to my Mom for renting a poolside cabana on Saturday.

Anywho… there’s actually a point for this turn at word slinging.  My amazing friends/”sisters from another mister” on this blog not only surprised me with that birthday post but also sent me a prezzie and having received it yesterday, I had to share.

Addicts Vegas Vacation

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well now that we’re in a bit of a TSTO lull I figured now would be the perfect time for us to fill you all in on our super secret Addicts Vacation!  (of course now that I said that a massive update will hit lol…that was a joke by the way…I have no idea if a massive update will hit or not)  The cat was let out of the bag (don’t worry it was one CCL threw at us first) a little earlier than we planned back when Level 40 hit…you should KNOW something is up if an update hits and we’re not on top of it right away!  But I PROMISE we had planned to post about this the entire time…..

So, back at the end of April the Addicts team met up for a fun little mini vacation out in….Las Vegas, Nevada!  I know the audacity of us leaving right in the middle of a major TSTO Event, but let’s be honest you didn’t even know we were gone! 😉  So we decided Vegas would be a good meet up spot because well…I’m the only one on the East Coast.  With Bunny and Wookiee both living on the Western side of the US we figured it’d be much easier for me to go to them, than for them to come to me.  That and well…it’s VEGAS!  My husband and I were planning a trip out that way anyway…so perfect timing all around!2014-04-29 21.15.36

Now, now before you start your gambling talk…YES we went to Vegas.  No we didn’t gamble.  Well my husband did a few times at the buffet, but that’s a different story! lol  We actually took in much of what the city had to offer outside of gambling…we did however partake in Bunny “Water” a time or two…or 40… 😉

A look behind the Wroshyr trees

Happy blogiversary Addicterinos!

Well, we’ve been here for just about 6 months and still going strong.  While you have been following all our madness, you may be wondering just who are “these people” blogging about TSTO. Well, in honor of our 6 month mark, we decided to unveil a little bit more about ourselves.  At Addicts, we like to think of ourselves as a different kind of blog team. Every one on Addicts is actually cool with each other and we work behind the scenes every day to bring you what you hopefully think of as the Best. Site. Ever.

Alright, getting to the point. We’ve been at this crazy TSTO blogging gig since August and every day I find myself truly humbled that thousands of folks come here just to see what we have to say about The Simpsons Tapped Out.  I know I like to actually know a little about the authors I read, so I figured I’d take the chance to take you away momentarily from all the Valentine’s Day Event Madness and tell you about my least favorite subject… ME.

WDTCF – Phineas Q. Butterfat’s

How are my favorite tappers doing?  I bet by now a lot of you are done with Level 38 and just itching for the next content to ignore your family and obligations with, right?  Well… If my Wookiee senses are working correctly, I think we should be entering the Valentine’s Day arena very soon.  I hope I’m right and that EA brings a couple of my wish list items from WAWW part 1 and part 2.  Beside indulging me, the way EA could really show some love to all us tappers would be to bring back buildings from last year’s event.

My favorite of them was Phineas Q. Butterfat’s.  While admittedly, I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, I certainly love me some ice cream.  This building came our way during the 2013 VD Event for free.  All we had to do was earn some event currency (hearts) and the building was ours (probably sounds familiar, right?).  The building generates $275 and 22 XP every 16 hours.

A Super Bowl WDTCF – Duff Blimp

Blimping ain’t easy… but it sure is fun.  So what’s up folks?  It’s Super Bowl Sunday and we got a F-F-FREE decoration today from our benevolent progenitors at EA (Sorry, I started school again and feel edjamikated).  The Duff Blimp is a rad addition to all of our towns.  I know most of us were expecting the Valentine’s Day Event but I think the little surprises from the Super Bowl tie-in are nifty.

WDTCF – Howard’s Flowers

Say you don’t need no tapped out game and I’ll be mortified… give me at least one free donut and I’ll be satisfied… I ain’t got enough time or money…. EA can’t buy me love…. Can’t buy me love love, donuts can’t buy me love, can’t buy me love love, no no no no…. Oh… hey there Addicterinos.  SOrry about that, you know me and my silliness.  I don’t know about you but I am so getting in the Valentine’s Day Spirit.  With the upcoming S.A.D. update headed our way (or so we all think, who knows, EA could surprise us), I really hope they bring back all the decorations, buildings and characters from last year’s event.  (insert shameless plug for previous post here)

One of the buildings was Howard’s Flowers.  We were able to get it by collecting 25 hearts (the currency for 2013 VD).  It’s a unique looking building that I’ve heard quite a few tappers pine for.  Not a bad one either as it generates $200 and 17 XP every 10 hours.  I’ve had mine close to the Hospital for forever it seems with my other VD decorations.
