Seems a little odd that an update is hitting our games on a Saturday huh? Well this update is EA’s way of apologizing for the recent lag issues that plagued our games since Easter was removed.
And EA has a sweet way of saying their sorry…..FREE DONUTS!!!
That’s right my friends pick up your favorite Tapping Device and logon to your Springfield to claim your 20 FREE Donuts!

I can’t perform the update. It says not available in the Canadian store. Now I can’t even play the game. Lag issues were plaguing my account ever since the end of Easter update.
Ugh… I can definitely sympathize. Best bet is to contact EA.

I had a similar problem with the Google Play store saying my phone was not compatible (which it is). The best way to get round this problem is to find the .apk file elsewhere and sideload it onto your phone.
I’m not sure what the policy is on here for posting links, but if you look for the 4.8.3 update on the website APK4Fun you should have no problem finding it. You need to change a couple of settings to install it (to allow apps to be sideloaded) but its relatively easy. If you have any trouble doing it then just let me know.
Note this is only for the Android version.I’m not sure if you could do the same thing on iPhone.
I had this issue for eight days, 20 doughnuts!!!!!! What all the other things that I’ve not been able to collect, Squidport sections, FPs, XPs, and there was stil a possibility that I could have won a primium carractor on the Easter update.
Lol well FPs and XPs and Squidport tiles aren’t limited time so they won’t do anything about those.
But if you you contact them directly they might be able to give you more donuts for compensation.
As far as the Easter Update…looks like you had the issue after Easter was over, so they won’t really do anything on that. But You can always try…

Lovely, although I think this will come back to EA during the next issue. People will be pointing on this issue and say ‘You gave us donuts once, we want more!’ However, I think it’s nice.
Plus: I just noticed that thanks to the ‘Blood donation bus’ (or whatever it is called in English) it is now so much easier, to transfer money into donuts! No more weather stations! Woooohooooo!
How do you transfer? Am I missing a big part of the game?

When saying ‘transfer’ I mean I buy things I don’t need, in order to get their XP for my next bonus lvl. I get ~29,000 XP for one bus. So I placed 50 of them in my town and the XP went into my lvl-bar (I jumped three lvls). After I got the XP, I sold each of the busses again (you get a quarter of the original price) and repeated this circle until I was pretty much down to 100,000$. 😉
This is of course sth. you do, when you have reached the final lvl. Before that, it would be a waste of money.

Thank you EA as I didn’t have any lag problems but this makes up on missing those free 15 Easter fence doughnuts.
This a massive game played by millions on many different devices from my abacus to maple devices.
Maybenot all the lag issues were down to EA.
It is also a complex game all the levels animations story lines and glitch fixes, well it looks complex to me.
EA are there to make money and they need to have a good product and happy customers.
20 free doughnuts doesn’t really cost EA very much but it buys some nice decorations and will encourage players to stay around.it also makes us feel like we are important coupled with more freemium characters buildings and items and EA can recover some of the customer satisfaction that has taken a recent dip.
Personally I didn’t have any problems or bugs, but I could really see it when I visited some of my neighbors who were higher levels with dozens of characters on screen.
Now with these doughnuts and the free coins I got on my Kindle that I can use to buy golden scratchers soon the volcano lair will be mine (cue evil laugh)
On a semi-related note, any idea if EA will offer Brandine again? I started TSTO during the Easter update so never had a chance to buy her, but would use my doughnuts in a heartbeat to get her character.
No idea. Never know what they are gonna be up to. Just gotta wait and see. You can always contact them and make suggestions. 😉

I was super pleasantly surprised by this. Usually bonus donuts come in twos or threes, not 20! Getting enough donuts for premium buildings just from leveling up is a slow process. So I say yay! And hiya to fellow tappers!

Bunny loves all the readers and really is an amazing advocate for all of us. Extra chocolate covered carrots to the basement pronto.

Just want to say thank you to Bunny and EA for 20 pink ones, Milhouse quest, Macaroni Shed, and returning my game! Never thought I would miss my iPad telling me to “put on pants”! Thanks to all my neighbors for not giving up on me. I’m so HAPPY!
Only one thing bugs me about the free donuts. I have not accumulated 99 free donuts. Which means I am within striking distance of a premium item. I now need to decide which one to get. Decisions are not my strong point. Any suggestions? Leaning towards a character or a combo.
I have now accumulated. Stupid typos.
Combos are always good. Keep tappin and earning the free pink sprinklies from maxing out on FP at level 8. That’ll help if you’re at that level.

Anyone else notice Homer’s 2 hour ‘pass out’ task? It’s very reminiscent of his heart attack(s) from an eppy tie in.
EA does recycle some images and tasks. I still to this day LOVE Homer being possessed the most. LOL.

Today was a great tapping day for me! Was already happy that both A and B were peachy keen again. Then, first logged into B on my phone and was surprised that without ever opening a ticket, they gave me (and all who missed it apparently) the opportunity to do the Fit Millhouse quest AND 20 D’ohnuts!
Then went to my A, got my free 20 and while clearing handshakes, reached FP level 8 and achieved Cool Lisa! Then got my first pink sprinklie while visiting friends and my dog finally won the race after 4 losses!! Woo hoo!
Still have to say that with how expensive their premium currency is compared to other games, and all the frustration that so many went through, it coulda, shoulda been a bit higher D’ohnuts. It was a welcome gesture all the same given another game I’ve played for 3 yrs has stopped even acknowledging is players legit issues!
Gambled the donuts on my B game and got 30 donuts from Homer Buddha since I already purchased SVT. Seems like they are giving out good items right now, but I’m too scared to try and lose the 15 donuts on my A game lol

lol that’s what I’m talking about. 2 good items at 4% chance, and the rest at 1% or less is just too risky. Well at least you didn’t get a lame mystery box with a parking lot or newspaper dispenser.

Have you stayed in contact with them on the issue? They are working on a ton. If yours was supposed to be fixed with one of these updates, but hasn’t yet…you should make sure they know so they can look into it on your device.

I am just so glad that it finally works on my iPhone and iPad. I can finally give my kid back her android tablet now. I am so glad they allowed us to pursue the Milhouse episode tie in quest that I missed, as well as give us the option of purchasing the shed if we wanted it. The story within the quest makes the costume worth more I think. Having it just show up in your inventory cheapens it I think. I remember reading people’s demands on the ea forum about what EA should do, thinking free donuts? Really? I just couldn’t see them doing it. And if they did, maybe 3 or 5, but 20?! That WAS a surprised!
But since we’re on topic of giving crazy demands to EA… …how bout some more land? I’ve got everything from level 38-41, bumped up touching each other, and I’m not house farming or anything, I just have a lot of premiums.

For me, the game was unplayably slow at times. I had really slowed down my playing and was closed to quiting. If they had lost a bunch of players, that would explain the 20 donuts as a bribe to get those users back.
I’m really pleased. This is the most donuts I’ve ever had. Ever!
I’m realky debating getting a homer Buddha rather than saving because I know if end up using them it’s dribs and drabs! Really don’t know if it’s worth it though lol

No matter how bad they screw up, they can always buy people off with donuts! Got around 120 now, can’t wait to get enough for Crazy Cat Lady, or Duff Brewery. Maybe even something new by that time.
Love the free donuts. Has anybody else experienced game crashes while visiting other Springfields? I thought this was part of the problem EA was having last week and would be fixed with the latest update. My game crashes about every 10 to 15 Springfields that I visit and I have to log back in. Makes it hard to max out on the Frink points.
Most the issues are fixed. A few still linger. My suggestion is to keep a ticket open with EA if you still have the issue yourself. On the flip side, it could be the neighbor you are trying to reach is locked out of their game still, so you can get it either. See if it is the same name of neighbor that kicks you out over and over. The issue may be a glitch on their side, not yours.

I think this is the 4th one I’ve bought, which I’ve started doing in my secondary town when I get free donuts. Before this I’ve received a bench, burning bush, and dumpster. I don’t think I would buy a Homer Buddha with donuts I paid money for but this was pretty nice. 🙂
