Update: EA has advised they’re aware of the situation and they’re working on a patch to restore them. Should be restored soon.

Just a quick note to let you know the first community prize has now unlocked! So log into your Springfield to collect your free donuts!
Now onto the next one….
I contacted EA on the missing donuts. Live chat. There is a patch coming they think will fix it in the next 48 hours, as of 11pm July 8 central daylight time.
Just contacted by live chat because my donuts disappeared too. They said it was a known issue and that a patch was coming. The donuts would be restored at that time.
i have a new problem, my skin tenis marge has disappeared… after a lot work. Someone else is this happening?
I’m starting to see it go around. Best advice at the moment is to contact EA

I contacted EA Support via their live chat and I got my Community Prize of 10 donuts back that I lost today. I had to answer my security question in the chat which made me a little uneasy, but I assume that is standard practice to access my account and credit me the missing donuts. I just hope I don’t lose them again now.

MISSING DONUTS EVERYONE??
I had 572 this morning, received the 10 bonus ones, and earned 2 from tapping neighbors today. Now I have 574 donuts. Do the math, it’s time to contact EA if I didn’t have anything else to do.
Normally I don’t and chatting with a polite person in India or Philippines is fun for both parties. The EA rep takes on the role of a repressed servant to a corporate master and I take the role of a typical American who knows way too much about the Studio 54 back rooms.
I am pissed about the donut programming screw up, but it’s not worth my time to entertain their customer support today. If the game isn’t fun (aka all the mindless coding disasters that come with it) then stop playing. It’s not out sourced customer service people who deserve to hear about it.
Be civil and set an example for others. I’m not on twitter, but tweet out #LoveTSTO if you are.

So the next prize is back up to the 110,000,000+ goal. I wonder if this is for real with the drop in price on the balls or will they drop this goal too.?.
This morning when we won the donuts and I clicked on accepting them they never went to my counter. I did contact EA and literally as I was finished with the report to have them call me, my phone rang! EA did a great job and restored them and the guy said he knew it was becoming a big issue.
Great job all the way around! Especially the moderators giving us the heads up and then the immediate response I got from EA.
Hopefully this doesn’t happen with the next community prize.
My experience was the same. My phone rang less then one minute after hitting the send button. The EA rep was very nice and I had my 10 donuts back easy breezy. Thanks EA good job.

Okay, so I’m a little confused now. I got the 10 donuts and now they’re gone, just as the article and a gazillion comments have mentioned. But I’ve also seen people mention a patch that supposedly went through that put the 10 donuts back. Mine are still missing. Does that mean I have to call EA, or did I misunderstand and the patch hasn’t happened yet?
I’m *really* hoping I don’t have to call EA…besides not having the time to deal with that tomorrow, the last time I called I got the feeling that they were starting to question the fact that I had contacted them several times before with problems, wanting to be compensated with donuts (even though they were all legitimate calls). I don’t want to be branded in some way and/or find that they’re no longer willing to give me donuts when things go wrong…
Never mind – I gave them a call after all (i thought it was too late in the day, but, fortunately, it wasn’t). The very friendly woman said the patch hadn’t gone out to everyone yet and to give it some more time.
So, fingers crossed! 🙂
I lost my donuts this morning too but have not gotten them back
I had a lovely thing happen, got my 10 donuts, immediately bought Furious D, and started the quest line. Game crashed and when it came up, I still had the character but my donut count was what it was before the bonus ones were added… pretty sweet!
What luck! I was wondering if the patch later today/tomorrow will restore just the 10 donuts or restore the whole donut count you had before. I’m too scared to buy something and test the theory thought!

My donuts went missing, I contacted EA and they seem to have given me my missing 10 plus 1 extra. Woohoo!
I am thoroughly annoyed. I opened a chat with EA and spoke to Pramod Kunar, he just goes “oh I’m sorry to hear you’re missing your donuts” and doesn’t say anything else. Like, ok but fix it please lol. So he finally starts going into my account and at the end he goes ok try logging in and out of your game, I do that, donuts still aren’t there, I go back into chat, and he’s closed it!! AND he sent an email saying the ticket/complaint file has been closed! What the hell???
Try contacting them again and get a different rep. Some of them aren’t the brightest crayons in the box
I chatted with a different rep. Slightly more helpful. Told me they’d email when it’s fixed and they’re aware it’s a big issue, blah blah. What a fiasco lol. I think I’ve gotten a little too involved in this game.
So, my game was glitching out when I logged in a couple minutes ago.. I got the notification of the community prize, then went to finish the task for the daily prize; I didn’t get a note that I obtained the prize.. Confused, I tried to clear out fans and, in doing so, got enough hats to get Sporty Marge; I didn’t get the note that I obtained her.. I tried clicking on the tapball tab at the bottom and it was unresponsive, so I clicked on the other Springfield tab to exit the town and come right back.. when it loaded up, I got the daily prize it didn’t give me initially right away, along with the time bonus, but still no Marge skin.. it allowed me to enter the tap ball tab this time, and it had a checkmark under the Marge prize, yet when I go to the character tab under Sporty Simpsons, she is not highlighted and the skin is still not available to me, and not in my inventory either..
I’m noticing a trend of missing Tennis Marge’s. My best advice right now is to contact EA, let them know.
Just got my 10 bonuts, called EA. I was in panic mode when I didn’t get my bonuts, then my sister said ” OMG you are addicted to that game” Sigh, she was the one who suggested i dld it😱

Donuts from my a and b game both disappeared and haven’t got them back 😕
Mine disappeared. I contacted EA and was told they are looking into the matter. I’m supposed to get an email letting me know when they have been restored. I was sorta hoping I’d get one of the reps who is simply restoring the donuts (I’ve had them before for other issues), but this guy, while nice, told me that another team has to handle that. Oh well…not like I was going to use them for anything at the moment :/
So.. . . Wow. My 10 donuts put me up to 101 so I immediately bought Bart with Furious D and 3 minutes later my donut total went right back to my original 91. I quickly bought Rex banner before EA could catch the mistake. Obviously they ran a patch to fix the problem that many of you were having, and it netted me 100 free donuts. I’m a freemium player so I’m ecstatic!
Btw. Anyone else get Kang for free during July 4th?

The last time I logged in was a little less than 9hrs ago. I saw this post and took a break at work to log in and see if I got my donuts. As I was loading the game, a patch was downloaded. When I got in my game I did get +10 Donuts from the Community Prizes (and they appear to have “stuck”).

Just thought I’d let everyone know: I just contacted EA regarding my missing donuts. I went for the chat option (which was dead quick) and it was resolved within minutes! I’ve never used this service before but was really impressed.

i didn’t have the 10 donuts in my game. I did the call me now option for EA. They called me in seconds and got my 10 donuts.
Yep mine disappeared too missing my 10 donuts got them but here hours later logged in to tap away and the 10 donuts are gone what a bummer
Okay, my donuts showed this morning and then when I logged in again this afternoon they disappeared. I contacted EA and they said they are aware of the problem and my donuts should show back up in a few hours.
Contacted EA, should be a patch coming to restore missing donuts.
