Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Popping in with another bug/glitch report for TSTO…this time related to the Springfield Heights update. Because one centralized placed where you guys can report your issues and see that you’re not alone in them…is better than issues scattered all over various posts…and feeling like you’re the only one with the problem. 🙂
Before we get into it just a note, yesterday I went over some issues that were happening since Tap Ball was removed, some of these are still going on. So if you don’t see your issue covered in this post, try checking out yesterdays crash report post to see if it’s covered there. (You can view yesterday’s post here)
So now, let’s tackle some of the common issues we’re seeing popup since Springfield Heights hit our towns including (but not limited to): missing donuts, land errors, missing currency and more! So let’s dive in shall we?
Let’s start with the big one…MISSING DONUTS!
There are LOADS of reports from you guys in the comments about your donuts going missing since the launch of Springfield Heights. And from what I understand EA is inundated with complaints about the missing donuts. Good. Keep flooding them. The more reports they get, the quicker it’ll get resolved.
So here’s the deal with the missing donuts….yes they’re really missing. No you’re not going crazy. EA IS aware of the situation and is currently working on a patch for it. Hopefully the patch will hit in 24-48hrs. In the meantime I still recommend contacting them and letting them know what’s happened in your game, just in case the patch doesn’t work at least there’s proof you contacted them.
So basically you’ve got two options at this point: 1- Contact EA (which I recommend doing) or 2- Do nothing and wait till the patch hits.

Land Error
Some of you are reporting seeing this message in your game (or some version of it): “Land Error Contact Support”.
If this happens to you first try uninstalling/restarting your device/reinstalling TSTO. See if this helps clear it (could just be a bad file). If that doesn’t work, you’ve got to do what the message says and Contact EA.
We have seen a few reports of this, so if you’re getting it you’re not alone. But from what we can see you do have to contact EA to get it cleared.

Missing Springfield Heights Currency

Seeing reports from a few of you that you’re randomly missing Springfield Heights Currency. You’ll have 200, not buy anything and then be down to 180.
If this is happening to you…stop and think for a minute. Ask yourself if you’ve recently crafted Smart Devices. Each Smart Device you craft requires 2 and 1. So if you’ve recently acquired some smart devices…that could be why your currency has gone missing.
IF you don’t have any smart devices, heck if you haven’t unlocked the Springfield Institute of Technology…then stop and think if you recently unlocked a character to complete the task to get items. Remember after the initial 1-2 characters in each building it requires Springfield Heights Currency to unlock more. So that could also be where it’s going.
IF you don’t have an smart devices, if you haven’t recently unlocked any new characters to get currency…then contact EA.

Sending Characters on Currency Earning Tasks And Not Getting the Right Payout In Return
Seeing reports from a few of you that you send characters on a currency earning task that should yield 5 (for example) coffees, and you’re bank is only increasing by 3.
If this is happening to you follow the same procedures for the missing currency above…check to see if you created any smart devices or unlocked any new characters inbetween the time waiting for the currency task to complete.
IF you don’t have an smart devices, if you haven’t recently unlocked any new characters to get currency…then contact EA.

FPs Missing from Clearing Handshakes
Seeing reports from a few of you, and noticing in my own town, that when you tap on handshakes in your town they’re not dropping FPs (
) like the used to.
First, it’s not every building. Some buildings are still awarding them, but it is most of them. Not sure if this is a permanent change or just a bug that’ll get fixed with the next download.
For now my recommendation is to just sit tight with it and see what happens. But if it’s really bugging you contact EA.

I Can No Longer Spray Paint A Neighbor
It’s not just you. It looks like, at least for now, Vandalism Actions have been disabled. So you can no longer Spray Paint Moe’s, Town Hall or Springfield Elementary.
I have a feeling this has something to do with a vandalizing glitch that caused games to crash. So I have a feeling it will come back up eventually. So for now just sit tight…
And that my friends completes the first Springfield Heights Glitch/Bug report. The biggest issue is those missing donuts, and I can assure you they’re working no restoring them! So let’s hope they’re back soon!

My L.A. Body Works has a floating yoga mat above it, so I wonder, who’s not pulling their weight? And it’s… Snake? Currently serving time in Springfield Penitentiary (24 hours). He’s not even a yoga mat character! Meanwhile, Fat Tony is just walking around waiting for something to do.

I have already unlocked LA Body works and Moe has made 10 yoga mats but now he shows locked and no one else is available to make more yoga mats. The only jobs that Moe can do now are in orig Springfield, he does not have the job function of making yoga mats, just a lock.
K… so take a peek at the post I linked you to. The Storage MAX to start is 10… so if you hit that MAX you can’t send a Character anymore. It’s not Moe you need to worry about. It’s the next Character on the list to increase the Storage another 10. The link I gave you will show what you need to unlock each extra Character Task and increase your storage. That or spend the 10 you’ve earned already.
I cannot get Moe to unlock for more storage. What am i doing wrong?
What do you mean you can’t get him to unlock for storage? In order to get the Yoga Mats… you have to unlock LA Body Works so you can send Moe there to make them. Moe is the first Character you can access as soon as it is unlocked.

Glitch Patches
They still haven’t returned my donuts
So message them again. Try to spark a phone call if you can. Do NOT let the agent off the line until you are sure they are back into your game. Speak to a supervisor if you have to.

Just found another glitch…I sent characters on 24 hour tasks and about six to eight hours later they’re done AND paying the full amount for the task. Not complaining but has anyone else noticed this?
Actually a correction. One of my premium characters is supposed to get 1000 bucks for a 24 hour job. Four hours later he was completed and paid out 1200. This is one glitch I don’t mind….
So frustrated with EA. I messaged them via chat about the missing phones (smart devices) and the first girl, Amber in TX, was great, said it was fixed, and directed me to submit a screen shot for the other issue.
I reach out a second time to tell them that the smart devices still aren’t showing up and provide the info requested for the other case. The 2nd girl, Robin, was less helpful. Said she couldn’t help me with the issue involving the screen shot and I’d have to contact Google (even tho Amber said they could do it if I had the screen shot), and told me to reboot my phone and log out/in of origin. That it would show up that way. So I tried that. Didn’t work.
Try back a 3rd time and get Kanika who after explaining the issue in detail, says this:
“Due to the complexity and resources required for these investigations, any compromised or missing content claims that are found to be false or fraudulent in nature following the investigation may result in actions being taken on the account, up to and including account closure. Bearing this in mind, would you like for us to proceed with your investigation today?”
Seriously?! Because I want to spend 3 hours of my day trying to get back my missing 100 smart devices, let alone wasting all that time to place a fraudulent claim?! Freakin’ rude.
By other issue, I meant I had contacted them about two issues. My missing smart devices and following up on an unresolved missing donut purchase from back during the holiday event. I had tried multiple times to contact them by phone and chat but the sessions never connected to an advisor even tho it generated ticket numbers and had me in a queue for over an hour both on phone and chat. 😖 anyway, as of 7 or so hours later, my game still doesn’t have my missing smart devices. I probably wouldn’t even have realized what happened had I not looked closely at my tally and decided to spend because I was at 192/200 and felt I had enough of a cushion to spend 30 and still be able to have upgrades.
The last rep I spoke to, after her lovely implication that I might be trying to scam them and was I sure I wanted them to look into it (jerk), said that then maybe there was a syncing issue. No, really? I could’ve told her that after my update lost 130 smart devices when it should’ve been only 30. You’d think with all the issues going on, they’d be a little more understanding.
Funny side note, I was speaking to Amber about locations and she told me their two main offices are Texas and IRELAND. I think she meant India. 😂 I don’t know of too many Indian named people in Ireland.
No, they are all over the world. I’ve spoke to the reps in England and other countries too (Germany, Australia, etc). It just depends on what Center you are directed to when you contact them. EA is Global on the outsourcing.
I had the same experience… I was warned that – if I was falsely claiming I had missing donuts – EA would take legal action (“Just so you are aware…” I was told).
They finally fixed it today and gave me an extra 60 smart devices. That shouldn’t have been as much of a hassle as it was, but I’m glad it is finally corrected.
Very rude indeed. They should be aware that without satisfied players they could run out of job !
Imagine if a large part of the community decide not to play premium for one or two weeks. It would hurt EA economical model.
In fact it became too risky with all those bugs and we should not play premium for a while. Take a break and use your time for outdoor activities while the season is good.

Waited until today to contact EA about 150 missing doughnuts. Had a Chat session with Nikesh within one minute of getting to their website. (Had a choice of Chat or Talk, but not email.) Within about two minutes she had given back the 150 doughnuts. Very easy to work with. She stated again that they were working on the problem so we’re not going to purchase any for a while.
Has anyone reported Modern Mansion (the gray one) upgrades not appearing? I built a new one, then went to up grade it, it went directly to upgrade 3, skipping over the level 2 garage and ramp platform items. They are not in my inventory, (and you cannot sell them), and they are not in play. I contacted EA and there are “no advisors” to help me.
Yes, this same thing happened on my husband’s game only it was when he attempted to upgrade to level *3* on a Modern Mansion – it shows he has the upgrade but the items are not in play and are not in storage. :/
Still glitchy! 😖 I had 192 phones and decided to spend 30 on a spot of land. Now it says I have 62?!?! 😡
I have been sent from EA that my case is closed!!! What’s going on??? Can’t get any where with them!! I’m at my Wits end!! I lost 300 plus Donuts with the new Springfield Heights!! Very discouraging!!
All I can tell you to do is open another case. Unfortunately, I can’t really do anything with this one…it’s all up to EA.
Can you call them? If so, do that and don’t let them off the phone until you’ve spoken with someone who will give you your donuts back. (If that didn’t work, call back and talk to someone else…from what we’ve heard, you want to try and get someone from the Texas call center.)
I’ve contacted EA yesterday and hopefully I can get at least 300 plus donuts back!! Hopefully they call back in abt 3 hrs as promised!! I have been “very Edgy” because of these donuts(the money) that they are valued for, and will not rest til it gets solved!!
I have been cycling through the buildings to prevent me trying to have 10 of each in my Springfield Heights. I now have 20 valet parking of varying levels and I lost 5 business centers, 8 modern mansions and 5 classic mansions. has this issue been talked about in older comments and if so, is this something that EA is aware of?
Not sure if anyone’s reported it. I know I’ve directed them too, but you never know…
Any updates on the patch? For now at least my donuts seemed intact but the man I love lost 27 and we’ve had no luck with EA. Is there light at the end of the tunnel – and if so, is it from an oncoming train?
Not that i’ve heard, but honestly I haven’t been in contact with EA about the issue. Best thing to do is keep trying with EA representatives until you get one that will restore your donuts for you…loads of players are having them restored by EA.
I had to contact EA three times before they restored my missing doughnuts. You have to be persistent.
After EA restored my doughnuts, I received an e-mail from an EA specialist who said that the patch would either be released today (Tuesday) or Wednesday. Tuesday is almost over. So I would expect the patch/update tomorrow.

my issue is that i somehow went over the limit with classic mansions and valet parking which shouldnt be right as i thought you can only craft 10 and some of the buildings i built ahead of time are back in the shop as if i never built them at all. idk if it was some kind of sync error since i play on both ios and android but i shouldnt have 8 lv1, 4 lv2 and 6 lv3 classic mansions and 13 lv3 valet parking. im also having an instance of 2 separate lv4 deluxe condos like i dont get it. is it an inventory issue or something? i hope this gets patched soon. til then i probably wont purchase or upgrade more stuff. at least i got all the land 🙂
That happens from time to time if you play across multiple devices. It happened to players when prizes were awarded too….
After visiting other Springfield’s I returned and got loads of notifications that I had completed quests. These quests weren’t completed. For example I had the quest to upgrade my valet, mansions etc to Level 2….now that has been “completed” and I’ve received new quests to upgrade to level 3.
I must also say that my things haven’t actually upgraded…they’re still level 1. It’s just kind of skipped on to the next quest!
It happens when you visit friends who have already completed those quests. I like it, I hate having those useless tasks in my taskbar, like the ones they give us during events to “upgrade so and so” or “purchase so many so and so’s”, I like an empty taskbook, but that’s my OCD kicking in 😉
Yes! Thanks for writing this, then it is not just me! This has happened to me with 7 missions from Springfield Heights so far, and it is very annoying! I like to earn the mission prizes the right way, thanks… hope this gets fixed soon.
On the Waterfront Property quest, I purchased the first beach front property with 50 furniture, the cheapest one available, but did not get credit for the quest. The quest is still showing as undone. :/ Does it have to be the sandy beach property?
Yup, sandy beach…needs to be the one for 100 Furniture.

I lost at least 300 plus Donuts on my Springfield Heights Game!! I got to thinking that I knew I was very careful in not tapping on the Donuts , and was feeling sick to my stomach and couldn’t figure out what happened!!i went onto the TSTO website and read that a lot of Tappers had also lost their Donuts , and that EA knows of the Situation!😔 this game is Awesome beyond words!! I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I had tasks to upgrade various buildings in my task book. I went to go visit neighbours and when I returned all of the upgrade tasks had completed themselves. I got the popular but not sure if I got the rewards. None of the buildings were actually upgraded though. Should I contact EA?
You can. it’s just a trigger glitch. Usually the same task is still in your task book.
Is every one still having the issue with all the road tiles messed up, the last thing I want to do is a new layout is there is an update due
Mine never got fixed, so I nuked my entire town. Went through the whole process of rebuilding it and then today, with the monorail update, the whole thing is screwed up again. I’m livid that I’ve wasted so much time on this.
Hi, about 5 days ago I was missing 25 donuts, contacted ea and they gave them back, last night
I had 25 and this morning 7, half way thru the day down to 4, now I have 2. EA says for me to contact them tomorrow and they will fix it. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Network Issue – still getting “Bart Simpson Holding Black Plug” Screen – I get this daily (I’ve no choice but to stop playing TSTO ’til issue is solved by EA) 🙁
Sorry to tell you this but, unless it’s happening to a bunch of people all at once, I think it’s very likely NOT a problem that’s on EA’s end…more likely it’s your network dripping signal or you have a weak signal or something.
My Classic Mansion has disappeared just leaving the classic entrance and side balcony. It happened when i visited my neighbors so i bought another but will the first one return?
Report it to EA if basic troubleshooting won’t help.
EA doesn’t care about players. It has been 4 days and still no patch for this glitch filled Springfield Heights update. Getting really pissed off and will stop spending money on this game! Haven’t been able to play since the update.
I’m not a programmer but I’d say it’s probably eneded up being a big fix for them. As for not caring, that’s your opinion. EA is a company with both good and bad employees. For every tapper I’ve seen given the run around, there’s been another that has been helped. Of course I want everyone to get their stuff fixed but it’s beyond my control. Hopefully your issue is fixed and I’d definitely suggest storming the gates to get it fixed. In the long run though, probably not the best idea to want a corporate entity to have feelings one way or the other for you. I’d concentrate on people.
My issue was that I upgraded my first Classic Mansion and it gave me the balcony and extra front door but still recognized my mansion as Level 1. I upgraded it again (to Level 2 again) and itgave me the additions, which I applied to another mansion. But after 2 upgrades, only the one applied.
I had to Uninstall and reinstall (I think it was Tuesday). When I got back in I noticed I was missing 12 donuts. Contacted ea thru chat and they were restored no problem. Yesterday I noticed I was missing 84 donuts! I contacted ea gain through chat and they said they won’t restore them since they already did once. They suggested I call and speak to a supervisor. Help! Please tell me my donuts will be restored! 84 is a lot for me and I’m pissed!
Best suggestion is wait till tomorrow (monday) and contact EA again via the call me option.

Dont know if this counts as a bug.or a glitch and im not complaining as it frees up my quest panel but I seem to have completed the upgrade missions (stay classy p4 etc) even tho my places are only lvl 2, but when I came back from a friends town thats when I got the complete message.
This has happened to me, also. Got back from being a good neighboreeno and got upgrade goals completed but I didn’t upgrade the Classic Mansion, (upgraded to 4) and the Modern Mansion (upgraded to 2 or 3, not quite sure because I was still trying to figure out what I did to complete the goals.)
These goal quests are missing from my stack, too.
Ups… This is embarassing…I have NOT earned it yet- there are still points missing. Sorry!

Have I missend something? I have “earned” the flying car, it says : “Place the flying car”, bitte I can’t find it anywhere. It’s not in my storage or anywhere else. Closed the game and started it again but stil no flying car
Double check your inventory, if you still don’t see it contact EA
“…still no flying car” LOL – my husband’s been complaining about that for years! (Those of us who were born in the early 60s were particularly promised there would be flying cars by now!)

I’m incredibly appreciative of all the hard work that you all put in to these pages, so I’m hoping that my request will not be too difficult for you to produce.
I read that creating the mobile phone currency actually “costs” us a combination of coffee cups & furniture to produce, but I’ve noticed that I “lose” coffee cups” when creating yoga mats & pharmaceuticals too, (I’m still trying to get enough currency to buy the land/theatre).
Can you please create a chart showing what each unit of currency costs so that it’s clear to us. EA hasn’t explained it within the game at all.
You (or someone) mentioned there are tasks that pay SH currency. Apart from Cookie, who else has these tasks? Or are they only the ones within the selected “money-making” buildings?
If they’re outside of these buildings, please can we have a list/chart to help us?

Coffee is required for Pharmaceuticals but not yoga mats.
But why does it cost items to produce others when I didn’t have to “pay” anything before? I was able to produce everything without giving up something in order to do so. Last night it started requiring that I pay coffee to produce electronics when this was not the case when I first started. Same with pharmaceuticals which require yoga mats.
But on the other hand, Shøp has stopped taking chairs away from once I stopped paying to produce other items.
The higher buildings require more to craft… the theater currency is the most expensive. Just think of it as a “take it slow” kind of expansion that we’ll all eventually grind through. It’s not going anywhere so no rush.

I’ve just collected all the new currencies & then used the shop to see what was affected (if anything). These are my results:-

Now I’m hopeless at maths, but it’s definitely obvious that there is some “shrinkage” happening with each collection, making it more difficult to attain the amount of currency required to purchase the higher upgrades & pieces of land – especially if you’re trying to do it without using donuts.
This is just one round of my collection, yours may be different.

When you assign characters to make electronic devices or pills it shows you right under the character name how much of other currencies it will cost
Yes, I understand that now. When I first started the SH quests, that information did not show up under the characters in the task list.
Now, new working theory is that this has always been the case (requiring one product to produce another) but did not always show up under the character name in the task list. Maybe, this was the glitch and not that our chairs and coffee were mysteriously disappearing because they had always been required to produce other goods.
I have not had any problems with missing donuts, though I did accidentally spend donuts to unlock a task for someone at the Pharm-er John’s. It was 6 donuts and I really wish EA would have put in a confirm screen to ensure I really wanted to spend them, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Go to yr options menu. There is an option for confirm doughnut spend
Feels like I’ve been at this for days. EA says talk to Apple. Apple says talk to EA. Both are saying wait for the patch. Usually, I wouldn’t have a problem with this…But there are some time sensitive, premium items I’d like to get. Looks like that ain’t gunna happen because by the time the patch comes out, or the refund arrives at my bank, those items will have gone bye-bye. Even when the patch does finally arrive, I’m still going to be hesitant about trying to purchase any donuts at all. I do check this website at least twice a day, just in case the actual patch does show up late at night and I’m tucked up in bed, sound asleep.
