Tomorrow morning at 3am ET, 8am GMT, the Black Friday rebates start up in our stores…where every hour starting Friday and running until very early Monday morning, another item will appear in the shops to purchase for a rebated donut price!
As I promised I would do in our Black Friday Rebate Reveal Post, I’m going to breakdown each item for you the day before they’re set to appear in the stores. So you can make a decision on what you’d like to buy and be prepared to grab it.

Donut Price: 50 Donuts, Rebate 30 Dounts, Net Price 20 Donuts (I’ve got to double check this price tomorrow, it originally was 40 donuts…)
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, earns 2% bonus on all cash and XP
My Opinion On It Now: 2% bonus for the Net donuts spent is a great price. If you’re into bonus % and making yours as high as possible, grab this one.
Item: Big Butt Skinner Balloon
Donut Price: 110 Dounts, 30 Donut Rebate, Net 80 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, flies in the air (stationary). Earns a 2% bonus on all cash and XP.
My Opinion On It Now: PASS. Overpriced, under bonus % valued. PASS.
Item: Murderhorn
Donut Price: 250 Dounts, 125 Donut Rebate, Net 125 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, as 1 task for the questline on. After that it’s not used. Earns a 5% bonus on all cash and XP

My Opinion On It Now: While the reduced price is nice…it’s still not worth it. 125 donuts for a 5% bonus may seem like a great deal..BUT if you buy 3 items at 40 donuts each that offer a 2% bonus (like the Police Car..) that’s 6% for 120 donuts. The Murderhorn just isn’t worth it. So even at the discounted price (unless you absolutely love it and have to have it) PASS…
Item: Old West Sign
Donut Price: 35 Dounts, 10 Donut Rebate, Net 25 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, earns a 1% bonus on all cash and XP

My Opinion On It Now: Meh. I didn’t think it was that great during the Wild West Event, and I’m still not to keen on it today. The reduced price is nice, but it’s still a meh in my opinion. I’d pass.
Item: Dewey Largo & Lotto ‘N’ Liquor
Donut Price: 150 Donuts, 60 Donut Rebate, Net 90 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Your typical building/premium character combo

My Opinion On It Now: Any time you can get a premium character and building combo for 100 donuts or less it’s a must buy. This is no exception…EXCEPT…if you’re low on donuts and you’re not a big Dewey fan. There’s more stuff coming between now and Christmas, limited-time stuff. Dewey will still be in your store in January (although at the higher price), so if you’re not 100% sold on him pass and save your donuts for the next thing. If you like the character, have plenty of donuts and are looking for a good character/building combo to purchase…this is it. So grab it before it’s gone.
Item: Willie’s Tractor
Donut Price: 35 Donuts, 15 Donut Rebate, Net 20 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Animated decoration for Springfield. Offers a .75% bonus on all cash and XP

My Opinion On It Now: Meh. Freemium players should pass. Premium players, it’s a toss up. My thoughts remain unchanged from 2015…
Item: Blarney Castle
Donut Price: 115 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, Net 75 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium building for Springfield (earns $200, 22xp/8hrs), but does not have a permanent task for characters. (questline though)

My Opinion On It Now: This is another meh for me. If you’ve been wanting this one now is a great time to get it, but it’s over priced and WAY under used. So in my mind, it’s still a pass.
Item: Springfield Animal Shelter
Donut Price: 60 Donuts, 20 Donut Rebate, Net 40 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium building for Springfield (earns $90, 10xp/4hrs). Short questline, but no permanent tasks.

My Opinion On It Now: PASS, unless you really love animals. Your return for donuts spent is very minimal. If it came with a task I’d say grab it, because 40 donuts for a building is a great price. But without an permanent tasks it’ll just sit unused…
Item: Moe’s House
Donut Price: 110 Donuts, 30 Donut Rebate, Net 80 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium building for Springfield (earns $135, 15xp/4hrs). Short questline, and Permanent task for Moe (16hrs)

My Opinion On It Now: I like this one (and I even paid the 110 donuts for it). I like that it comes with a task for Moe, and even poor Moe deserves a home!
Item: Daredevil Bart & Springfield Gorge
Donut Price: 250Donuts, 125 Donut Rebate, Net 125 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium decoration for Springfield and premium skin for Bart. 5% bonus on all cash and XP. Homer has a HILARIOUS task there, once the questline is complete.

My Opinion On It Now: I’ve been waiting to buy this one for awhile now. While I don’t need another premium skin for Bart, Springfield Gorge is such an iconic item from Simspons History, I need it in my Springfield. However, I’ve always felt 250 donuts was WAY over priced for this one. But 125 donuts is much more palatable for me. So I’m grabbing this one, simply for the iconic factor.
Item: Football Uprights
Donut Price: 50Donuts, 30 Donut Rebate, Net 20 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, originally free during Tap Ball.
My Opinion On It Now: Pass, unless you really love football. Overpriced for what they are…especially since they were originally free.
Item: Santa’s Little Helper
Donut Price: 150Donuts, 75 Donut Rebate, Net 75 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Originally just an NPC, but he’s since had tasks added that pay a premium rate. Although none are outdoor tasks.

My Opinion On It Now: This is a good opportunity to get a missing piece to the Simpson family. 150 donuts for SLH is way over priced, but 75 is more reasonable if you’re looking to complete the Simpsons family.

what a random grooup of items ….. I like these rebate events, but I don’t think any of the items this time would be on anyone’s “must have lost”. I bought the music teacher this morning, now I’m just waiting for santas little helper to unlock in a couple hours and I’ll be happy 😁

Did Santa’s Little Helper lose his job in the snow globe?
I just used that task yesterday, but is gone today. It better come back after the Black Friday sale.
Dewey Largo also has a Glass Depot recycling job, that should make him (even a tiny bit) more attractive a buy than he already is.
I’m still not going to buy him (super-low on donuts after the Halloween event), but thought I’d mention it for others.
That was the main reason I was considering him too, but have decided to pass.

There hasn’t been a donut discount in a looooooooong time. If you’re in the US, you could try the Quick Thoughts app which allows you to take surveys and earn money you can put on the app store card of your choice.
I missed a few of these while sleeping but thankfully I wasn’t going to get them anyway. Roll on tomorrow and Gone Fission. I think that will be the only item I get. Gil can at least get something from me for a change. 😛

Willy’s Tractor is my first listed item and everything is locked.

Santa’s Little Helper is no longer an NPC? As I collect all those that have tasks – and never had him, as I never realised he got tasks – roll on 7pm.

As expected, the only item I would consider is Springfield Gorge. But I spent most of my donuts on Grandma Simpson and I already have a premium skin for Bart (Bartman), which I use a lot. Sooooo, even though I was waiting for a sale for the Gorge, and I really love it, I will pass this time around.

Dewey Largo has a job in the Glass Depot. If you’re doing the weekly recycling jobs for 5 donuts, he might be a good investment to be more effective with those 3h tasks.
I noticed there is no mention of Daredevil Bart on the actual in-game deal, can you confirm that the Gorge deal does in fact include Daredevil Bart? It’s definitely a deciding factor for me.
I also read somewhere that the Gorgeous Grandpa skin was supposed to be included with the billboard, but that seems to have changed. I wanted to make sure that there were no similar changes regarding The Gorge.

For people with a high bonus percentage and a gazillion of game cash 💰, it is EAsy to create/craft donuts (I call them cronuts).
Oh but this player already has everything at a time when donuts are still hard to come by. It is either very premium or via other means.
When the new items come in the store, will these be taken off? Or at the end of the sale will all items be in the store avalible for purchase?
My guess is that when sales is over, the permanent items will be listed in store at listed price. Event based items will no longer be available.

I might get Dewey and the Gorge. While the Murderhorn and Skinner balloon are somewhat interesting, they don’t really seem worth it.
Same here. I want Dewey because he helps with the monorail tasks, so he’ll eventually pay off for himself. Was hoping Uter would go on sale too, but oh well. I’m not so sure about Springfield Gorge as I don’t have Santa’s Little Helper and would benefit from having it, but it is quite an iconic item that I wouldn’t consider paying for normally and the bonus % only sweetens the deal.

Some items are double by a glitch. One of my friends has TWO rocket launchers.
One of those times I’m glad I’m a completionist. I’m trying to stockpile doughnuts for Christmas so I’m really glad there’s nothing for me to buy. I already know I’m going to have to drop some sprinkles on Monday.
At least people aren’t as upset when they paid full price and they’re now discounted, that never made sense to me. Yeah I paid more but I’ve enjoyed having it. Just don’t get people who “want to wait until it gets brought back at a cheaper price” then get upset when it doesn’t get offered. If you want it that bad, just get it.

It looks like I miscalculated my flow of doughnuts needed to get Springfield gorge.I bought the volcano lair, and mom Bouvier, and pow casino, and Florence of Arabia. So now I’m down to 202 doughnuts. I won’t be able to farm 48 doughnuts between now and tomorrow night. But (a big but) I have $30 million in cash. So I think I will to the rat trap delivery truck trick to make up for the difference. Bye bye cash stockpile.
If you have the space (and 4 hours) I’d recommend a Kwik e Mart farm (better return than Rat trap delivery truck), just build as many as you can fit into your Springfield and then collect!!! That way you’ll get more donuts for your $$$$
I guess I was a bit misleading in my comment. I’m already a doughnut farmer(big time). I had 725 doughnuts that I just spent in four major purchases. I generally generate about 50 or so doughnuts a day.
