Itchy and Scratchy Land Act 3 Calendar and Numbers to Get It All!

As I have intimated in past posts, once or twice (perhaps even more than thrice?), my excitement for this event has been greatly curtailed by the item limits.  That said…it has been equally curtailed by how EAsy it is to get everything offered (even if you may or may not be able to place it somewhere…because of the item limits).

OK. Enough about Item Limits, and on with the Big Reveal...of what it’s going to take to GET EVERYTHING!!! (Which in this case includes a “Main Prize” that may or may not be torn directly from recent headlines…or Krusty’s Show).

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act 3 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, it’s that time in Springfield…time for Act 3 to hit our games. It’s 10am here on the east coast and that means it’s time for Itchy and Scratchy Act 3…so have at it, assuming you can get into the game of course!

Yes, odds are the servers will likely be down for awhile.  May I suggest waiting an hour or so before trying?  One day EA will learn that 10am ET is not a good start time…one day. (although I haven’t had issues yet today…)

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Homer kicks things off in Springfield, and you’ll have tasks for Springfielders to staff rides and a task to build the Zoominator (the first Act 3 prize)…so hopefully you saved up those Daily Challenges to get a good jump start!

Act 3 Runs until July 11th (when this event will finally end)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s event time in Springfield!  With the launch of Itchy and Scratchy Land summer can officially begin for the residents of our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, an all-new event means a new opportunity for EA to add new premium items to our stores!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act 2 is Nearing the End…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a reminder that Act 2 of the Itchy and Scratchy Land Event…Ends TOMORROW June 27th at 10am ET (1400 GMT)

Once the Act 2 is over you will no longer be able to earn Axe Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone! (but remember to keep earning Axes if you haven’t unlocked all of the prizes because the closer you get to unlocking the next prize the lower the donut cost would be should you need to purchase it when the next Act starts…)

Crafting will STILL be available in the next Act.

Be ready for the Act 3 to start at 1400 GMT (10am ET) tomorrow morning  (June 27th)….

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s time to get amused in Springfield!  The latest event to hit our towns, Itchy and Scratchy Land, is in full force in our towns with a whole lot of twists and turns along the way!

Act 2 of the event brought a bunch of new premium characters to Springfield. Squeaky Voice Attendant, June Bellamy & the Park Engineer are the ones we were able to cover during Act 2 (there are more we’ll get to once Act 3 starts).  As with the vast majority of premium characters both of these characters came equipt with their own questlines.  So let’s take a look at the premium Turbo Tappin’ version of each….

Itchy and Scratchy Land Act II Prize Guide – Prize #6 – a BORT!!

I know… You are already sick of my “a-BORT” joke.  Sorry. But, the fact is, after all of this grinding, to get a character that only appears in one episode, for 5 seconds, makes me want to a-BORT the game.  But, it is a funny character…and the premise of the joke in the episode is funny, and strikes a familiar chord in my life.

Once again…I tell you to go and watch the episode (S6E4)…it’s worth tracking down and finding. It is loaded with action, and fun, and great gags…and you will see a BORT! 

But, the best thing about reaching the final prize…is that you can finally get your own BORT!  And YES…he is a FULL Character.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Friday Filler – ISKLand Town Tours and Shortcuts to Get It All While Hardly Trying

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

I have to admit, I‘m torn.  I can’t decide if the relative ease of this event is boring, or if I am just bored because there is really nothing for me to do, as I can’t really do any more designing in my town, without major “Urban Renewal.”

Does the fact that I simply log on 4 times a day, for about 5 minutes at a crack (to clear and refresh my Ride Attendants and to Clear and Refresh my KEM Farm) cause me to forget about the game for the most part (clearly not in the best interest of EA)? Or, am I just happy to have way more free time to do things in my life that are fun (golf) and prepare for another week of “full Baby Immersion” next week?

Hard to say, really. But, I can say that I have thought less about TSTO in the past week than almost any other week since I’ve been playing…including a week a couple of years ago when I was in Hawaii…or during our 9.600 mile, 30-day, around the country road trip. Again…I can’t believe this is good for EA. Because if I am feeling that way, I have to imagine there are loads of others who feel the same. But, I suspect it is actually good for me!

This update started with a bang! (a nuclear bang to be precise), but has fizzled out to the whisper of a cap gun.

My only purchase? I bought J Edgar Hoover. And I am looking forward to buying another upcoming President. But, mostly because it allows me to make fun of a couple of human beings that I didn’t particularly care for in real life. I’m not proud of that fact…but, it is also why I have Nixon roaming around town with his bowling ball. But, I digress…

The Fact is…with very little tapping time, as of today, I have already acquired a BORT! (which will allow me to do pretty much that for the weekend) and I have more than 12,000 in Crafting Currency to get a  jump (and maybe finish) most of Act III Crafting on the first day it hits.  Like I said…boring. 

There are some quick tricks to making every visit even SHORTER…and allow you to “Get it ALL” without having to spend much time playing TSTO. 

And…there are a couple of my neighbors who have done some pretty spectacular things with their ItchyScractchyKrustyLand  (ISKLand) designs. In spite of Item Limits…
