WAWW… Tress MacNeille

Hey there Addicterinos!  Wookiee back with my column in which I get the privilege of writing about what I’d like to see in the game.

First off, I’d like to say that I really want to know what YOU would like to see in the game.  EA has proven by this point that they pay attention to the TSTO blogs on the ultraweb (they’re all Bunny stalkers I’m sure) and who knows, you could be the next tapper to give them an idea.  All your suggestions can be easily placed on our Tapaholics Requesterinos to EA page.  That’s also where you can find previous editions of What a Wookiee Wants (WAWW) if you’re interested.

Alright… for today’s wish… it’s really quite simple.  The Wookiee Wants Tress MacNeille.  If you’re not familiar with her name (said in my best Troy McClure impersonation), you may know her from such voice acting as The Simpsons, Futurama (Mom), Tiny Toon Adventures (Babs Bunny), Animaniacs (Dot), etc.  Crazy thing is I only listed a few of her credits/characters.  Miss MacNeille is seriously one of the most talented voice actors EVER.

Once upon a time, TSTO was a game without Patty & Selma, Disco Stu and much more recently, Dolph and Jimbo.  They not only included characters we kept talking about but the buildings people said should go with them.  A lot of folks wish every character had a voice in the game.  While it is not as easy as just recording a voice or using sound from an episode and actually involves contracts, begging, scheduling, cookies, etc., Tress MacNeille is my #1 pick for addition to TSTO as a voice actor.

You may wonder why I want a real person.  Well, the answer is simple… among her over 200 different voices (check out the list on the ultraweb…  it’s amazing), she is one of the voice actors on The Simpsons.  Currently, none of the characters voiced by her have voices in TSTO.  The addition of her talents would bring some new audio for the Best. Game. Ever.

Currently in TSTO, two of her characters are in the game: Agnes Skinner and Dolph Starbeam.

Might not seem like enough for EA to add her voice to the game but let’s also check out the list of characters not in the game and see if you don’t agree why I want her added.

Phew…  so many characters, right?  I’m not even done yet.  How about Bernice Hibbert, Cookie Kwan and Lindsey Naegle to boot?  Who’s Lindsey Naegle?  Let’s just say you can blame her for the Funzos.

The wildest thing to me writing all this is I actually didn’t even include all The Simpsons characters Tress MacNeille has voiced.  I think her addition to TSTO for voices of current and future characters would only make our favorite game better.  C’mon EA, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE pay her to join in the game.  Pretty please?  You like bunnies?

Oh Well… I’ll keep my furry fingers and toes crossed for now.  Happy tapa-tapa-tapping every one!  Wookie out!
