Turbo Tappin’ Easter 2014

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well the Easter update is upon us!  Bunnies, bunnies, bunnies…they’re EVERYWHERE!  And we’ve been seeing a TON of comments about “what happens next”, so now that the update is nearing 24hrs old, and for most of you Homer, Willie & Apu will be wrapping up their Whacking Day preparedness shortly, we figured it’s a good time to Turbo Tap Easter!

For those of you who don’t know Turbo Tappin’ is our quick version of a walkthrough for the Level/Update/Character where we give you who starts the quest, the task and what you earn.  This way you have your quick guide on who to keep free and when.  This is great for our fellow Addicts who love to copy and paste the walkthrough into their device for quick reference.

Now on with Easter!  As I mentioned in the initial update post the main quest is kicked off by Homer and the anticipation of Whacking Day.  While the main quest is called Four-Day Weekend For Our Sins, there are some mini quests , entitled something different each time, that pop-up throughout as well.  We’ll cover those here as well.  So let’s get to Turbo Tappin’ shall we?

Remember there is NO RUSH to complete this questline….you have until May 13th to finish the event, so pace yourself!  And please, please, PLEASE don’t use donuts to rush the quests 🙂

What did YOU think of the questline?  Are you enjoying the Easter Event so far?  What do you think of all of the additions to the game?  Are you having fun zapping Bunnies?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. I’m on level 28, but I still haven’t started the quest to build the Wiggum house… Do you know why it won’t start?

    • There is a difference between Game Play Level and XP Level. XP Level collects at the bottom and just tracks what you CAN unlock once you get to a point in the game. However it is the Game Play you need to have to certain points to achieve and actually unlock those buildings. I would suggest to verify with our Walkthrough page just how far you are on your Game Play Level and see what else needs to unlock in the levels prior to it before you can trigger Wiggums House. Let me know if this helps.

  2. I still can’t get my bunny zapper working and I’ve modified the click speed on my phone. Oh well, I’ll just have to tap on the bunnies. I am surprised a friend has more than 50,000 eggs. I can only assume they have some sort of cheat because surely that isn’t possible? Thanks for the helpful information on this update!

    • Either a cheat or someone who spent 1,000+ donuts in the game
As far as the Bunny zapper goes…I know many tappers are having issues with it. Try holding your finger down on the screen in an open area of your down (Away from buildings and characters) but make sure it’s land you have purchased and opened up. Give it 1-5 seconds and see if it activates for you. 🙂

  3. TheRealestSitek

So I can’t complete if I won’t be at level 26 before the events end? Shananagans!

  4. Bunny, thanks for the help and quick response. I really enjoy reading your articles.

  5. Love this site, it has helped me so much. I have a quick question does Homer have to be done with part 5 before Nelson will start? Because Ralph is done with 1+1 and Homer is the only one still on a quest.

    • For me…Nelson wasn’t triggered to start until I completed with Homers task.

      • Off topic a little but I really like Nelson’s task to raid bird nests it’s quite hilarious to me. 🙂

        • It makes me laugh hysterically. I have a cousin that used to taunt birds nests growing up and one day…a SWARM came out to attack. Like they all chirped and plotted to gather the entire bird population of that area…then just waited. It was like a scene out of a hitchcock film. I laughed and laughed. So to see Nelson…brings back that memory. Lol 😛

  6. So I finished part 3 a while ago, but part 4 has yet to start even though Ned is free. What am I missing or doing wrong?

  7. Melocheand789

  8. So, to me it looks like the optimum time to start corn is:
“Make Ned Prepare Easter Dinner- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Completed Task Earns 250 Eggs, 10xp”
    n’est-ce pas?

  9. Do you have to spend donuts for the boxes? I cannot find an option for baskets or boxes without spending donuts (which I would hope that I’m not forced to)

  10. hi, i’ve only recently begun playing so i’m just on lvl 19… when it gets to the part where i need ralph, is my game going to stall or skip him? will i have time to finish the entire easter quest? im worried 🙁

  11. donnamw2000 add me play all the time had a clear out of neighbours a few empty spaces.

  12. hi, I completed Part 1 with Homer, Apu and Flanders this morning but nothing has happened since. With the exception of Homer who I accidently restarted on an additional 24 hours prep, I’ve been running everyone on 1 hr tasks all day waiting for Part 2 to kick in. Any thoughts? This is extremely frustrating!

  13. So I just got to 4 day wknd pt 4. And I noticed I can already have Moe hunt bunnies, so once I get to part 9 with Skinner I’m gonna send Moe on the hunt. So when I get to part 11 he’ll be close to finished. Potentially saving 1day and 1 hr

Is it worth it to purchse the Frink Egg denerator mk2 or do you need Mk 1 first?

    • Up to you on what you want to spend donuts on to get your egg count up. You do not need one without the other. We just like to let people know when items are free so they don’t waste their donuts on more than one if they only want one. 😉

We will have Should I Spend Donuts On coming soon. Just want to get out all the other details.

    • ziggymonkeybob2

So just to get this straight. The egg generator MK1 is included in the questline and the MK 2 can be purchased as a second egg generator? Or is the mk 2 and upgrade on the existing egg generator?

      • They are two completely separate items.

The MKI, normally costs 40 donuts, comes free in the quest. (4 lil blinking lights on top. Squareish shape to it.) MKI generates 75 Eggs in your DOMINATE color every 12 hours.

The MKII costs 75 donuts. (One giant blinking light, larger in size, and satellite dish on top). MKII generates 300 eggs in your OPPOSITE color every 24 hours.

You can buy as many of each as you want. All up to you. If you are unsure what color you are, check out this post here.
        http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/04/16/what-are-you-pink-or-blue/

Let me know if that helps. 😉

    • ziggymonkeybob2

Thanks for the information. Sorry to hijack the comments and turn it into Egg Generator talk…..

      • Not a problem at all. Always happy to help out. 😉

A LOT of information…and a lot still coming. We don’t want to overload you so we pace it out a lil. But we will have more on them soon. 🙂

  15. Hi,
I just started the, “Make Ned Hunt Bunnies,” quest and noticed when assigning tasks to the rest of my characters that Homer still has the task of stealing Easter eggs available, and a new 32hr task for Moe available.
I’m wondering if I can choose those tasks to earn the eggs and xp again even if I’ve already finished the Homer one, but haven’t gone as far as the quest with Moe yet? Or will doing so mess up the order of the storyline for me and cause a problem?

    • I just read the post about all the math stuff and found my answer there. Haha, sorry about that!
Although, I haven’t reached the part in the quest line where Moe is needed, so I don’t know why his 32hr task has already unlocked for me? Should I just leave that one alone for now until I actually reach that part in the quest?

  16. I’d anyone having problems buying baskets? I have over 600 blue eggs yet the option to buy a basket is not there even though it’s part if my quest

    • Buy a basket or a box? To buy a mystery box collect 500 eggs of 1 color and click on the trophy on the bottom right of the main springfield. It will open up the prize boxes. From there select the one you have 500 eggs for. Once that opens tap the 500 under the box to start it 🙂
To buy a basket….they’re 10 donuts or you can win them for free in the Gold Prize box (or from a bunny)

      • I’m sorry I meant box. But yeah I have enough for a blue box yet it does not give me the option to buy one. All it says is “view”

        • Gimmie a little bit. I’m gonna do a post about how to buy the boxes with photos. Seems quite a few tappers are having problems with it too 🙂

  17. I am very interested to see what happens with the corn as well. I started mine before the event started. I missed out on the last event (making pomatoes) because I didn’t get an autofinish. I have been using Marge to speed up my crop but I’m still more than 20 days out. I really hope I don’t miss out again.

  18. Will I be able to grow carrots as I haven’t got the wiggum or muntz house yet?
Could I grow some corn to take advantage of the auto finish while I’m building the other house’s?

    • Yes, those are side tasks. The main quest (where you get the carrot task) will still run through while you’re building both houses.
And yes…it does work with the corn. We’ll have a post on this a little later today 🙂

  19. sistertoabrony

I wish I had read this this morning. Ned still has a task to finish. Ah well. I could store his house I suppose.

  20. re: part 3 of teh questline, do we need to open enough boxes to place 50 fences before we can move on? What if you win loads of prizes but not 50 fences?! Surely it doesn’t mean that the next 16 boxes you open will all have fences in them until you complete the quest?!!

    • No it’s a side quest. It will NOT prevent you from moving on in the main quest. It will just stay in your task bar until it’s completed, but you will be able to move to the next part of the main quest. 🙂

  21. Funny funny I noticed when the most bunnies were generating in my court yard 2 of my small bushes were cycling through character heads. Not bushes at all just a series of heads. I thought my eyes were playing tricks and then it stopped, but so did all the bunnies

    • HAHAHAHAHAH. Did you get a screenshot? Please tell me you did. I LOVE those silly decoration glitches that kick in now and then.

As far as bunnies stopping. If they don’t restart. Try a basic log out, restart, log back in and see if that helps.

  22. It autofinished my corn for me just like Vday.

  23. Do we know how many bunnies can be found in our Springfield’s on an hourly basis? And what the max number of bunnies that can be roaming a town is? I know in the past it was around 6 hours that the quantity of ghosts maxed out, I am assuming something similar.

  24. Do you receive the egg generator type 1,or 2 from the quest line?

  25. Do you receive the egg generator type 1, or 2?

  26. I hope at the very end we get a free bunny to keep!!! At least one of the colourful guys (Without wings)

  27. The dialogue is cracking……quantity over quality is the Simpsons way…lol and Homers defence of the Easter bunny is this a swipe at a certain… ?

  28. What do you do with the chocolate bunnies in Krustyland? Thanks!

  29. What about folks growing corn? Are we out of luck to grow carrots?

    • Because it’s required as part of the task line it should auto complete the corn for you, like it did on valentine’s day, but I haven’t tested it yet. I’m waiting for it to pop up in my A game, which I don’t rush, to see if it works.

      • If the corn will auto-finish, could you make a post letting everyone know? I think I speak for a lot of people when I say it’d be great if we could all start corn before that part of the quest and have it finish days after starting.

        • Yes. I just started growing it in my A town to test it (started growing after the event started & after the 24hr tasks). So, as soon as I have a result I’ll let you all know 🙂

  30. So fast… I love that you guys tell us who needs to be free to start the dialogue to start a quest. Since that character isn’t always involved in the final quest, it’s so useful! I try not to read dialogue because I like that in-game, but I love the italics and the way you delineate which characters are needed to start and continue a quest line.

    • You are most certainly welcome! 🙂
The goal is to make you tap smarter not harder…I’d hate to have someone put a character on an unrelated task when they’re needed to start the next step or needed to do a task in the next step. Glad it helps you out!

      • I agree that the walk-through is really useful as I get a bit stuck sometimes wondering if a questline has already finished or if I just need a different character free. Thanks for doing this – it makes me have to think a little less – which is always useful as I smell bacon if I think too hard! 😀
