Easter Removal is live on iOS, Android AND Kindle!
Well it looks like EA has decided to remove Easter once and for all. TSTO v 4.8.1 is here and it looks like it’s just the removal of Easter! Similar to what we all experienced after Christmas, where the app store update simply removed the previous event & brought nothing new with it.
Here’s what the app description says:
“The bunnies have gone the way of the snakes and fled Springfield. All that’s left are piles of spoiled eggs, heaps of burnt hair and a ton of droppings – Springfield may never smell the same again but at least those pests are gone!
Stay tuned as we have more Tapped Out characters, quests and donuts coming soon.”
Does this mean we won’t get an update? No. It just means that EA decided to simply remove Easter today and there should be another update on the horizon. My guess is we’ll either see an Episode tie-in tomorrow (Wednesday) or another update on Thursday.
For now, if you’re sick of Easter, head on over to your App Store and download the newest version of TSTO. But if you want to try your luck, until they force you to update, at zapping a few more bunnies you can do that too. Just don’t update until they force you too.
Good news tho. If there are a few items you didn’t yet purchase but were hoping to get…you may be able to update after all as not everything was limited-time.
A couple of other changes…
-Baskets have been removed from my Springfield. I had 4 there, they’re gone. (I can confirm from my “A” game that the baskets are also removed from inventory. Had 2 in there, they’re now gone.)
-MKI (the free one we all got from the questline) now earns $300, 30xp every 12hrs
-MKII (was premium) now earns $500, 45xp every 24hrs
-Carrots are no longer an option at Cletus’s Farm
-No cash value for remaining eggs
-As of now, no decorations from Easter are allowed in Krustyland.

Obviously everything from Level 40, as that was a permanent addition to the game and not part of Easter.
Crazy Cat Lady and Her House- 180 donuts
Fireworks, Candy & Puppies– 60 donuts
Kodos and Kang Topiaries– 15 donuts each
Sumatran Century Flower– 40 donuts

Oh, and to add insult to injury, I ended up with 41 of the damn Easter fences. Totally useless!

I was very disappointed by the Easter event. I played everyday and STILL didn’t get all the stuff (particularly, Sherry Bobbins, the egg council guy, and Johnny Fiestas). This is the first time that has ever happened to me.
Hopefully EA learns from their mistakes in this event, otherwise I may quit the game in frustration.
I am pissed off beyond compare so many eggs collected hard work put into it so much money buying eggs wasted I did the stupid update to have them removed!!! They should of put a warning label it will remove your easter eggs. Was about to do my nightly bed routine vandalizing neighbors when it said I needed the update I am so angry its UNFAIR (well thats my 2 cents)
Did you check here before you updated? If you saw this post it would tell you the update will remove Easter from your Springfield.
Of course the game, at one point or another, will force you to update. It’s so everyone will be playing the same version. 🙂
No I didnt check I checked cuz it forced me to it said I couldnt visit neighbors till I updated
When I did the update (sadly before realizing it ended easter) it took with it all the characters I won with with. I had the mutant bunny and the two lizards both no longer there. So sad

Glad easter is gone although it was fun. I sure did win a ton of fences. Wish i had won a character after the 10’s of thousands of eggs i tapped. New update….hmm…..maybe a memorial day update? It would be very American of EA. 😉 cheers

I was rather disappointed with the Easter event. Way to much work for really crap payout. However! Since they yanked the easter stuff my game is tanked. It lags so bad that I gave up trying to collect. Others I know tried to update and it simply won’t update.
I was so disappointed with this bunny version of whacking day. I kept winning fences I proffered the old method of aiming for a certain amount of eggs. On this last week I decided to download family guys version of tapped out. Thank you EA ! I now have an odd number of ugly fences in my town.
Not pleased with this event. I usually break my freemium rule in the last week of the events so I bought a heap of gold eggs. All I got were fences and topiarys. Needed Hugs Bunny, Sherry and the Blocko store. Just disappointed it seems that so many people missed the best stuff.
LMBO! After reading this whole thread, I do believe ryanmcm82, you need to cut and paste a general statement about the update lagging & freezing 😉

Just found another glitch.. I was visiting friends towns, and when I try to vist one particular friend, the game shuts off, it happens each time but only with one person, I skipped it, finished the rest, went back and the same thing.. I see they played in the last hour, but I can’t get into their town, could it be because they didn’t update yet?
Did I find another bug?
(I have about 70 friend towns on an iPad Air.)
No that’s been happening for a while & something EA is aware of and working to fix with a patch. Having some issues because it’s device software related.
It’s really been a problem? This is the 2nd time I’ve come across not being able to get into a certain town..
I think it was with someone who hadn’t played for over a month and i deleted their town..
Every so often I have a player like that. It varies with each update who’s town I can’t get into.
Because up till the patch I was always able to get in this town daily for the last two months till the update today.
mine forced an update so i couldn’t get the last few fence segments to finish the goal. i got a couple buildings and a couple characters at least but i was so close to another couple spins so i feel gypped that they didn’t give us anything in return for all the unused eggs or at least offer some of the content to us beyond some shrubs. what was the reward for getting all of the fence anyways?

Just loaded up my game and the update loaded automatically….I guess EA wanted this one done too. Would have liked to spin my last basket though.

Oh thank goodness I can finally get out. I had 496 pink eggs, waited one more time for the carrots to grow, spun my last box…it stopped and held on the Blocko store! Then it flipped to fences at the last second. What a tease…get me out of this update.

I will miss the birds chirping. I really liked that. I will not miss zapping bunnies even though I can’t seem to stop doing it! I’m not sad that the event is over but I’m not updating until I’m forced to!
My Blocko Store is still in the process of being built, should I let it finish before updating?
Shouldn’t matter either way but if you’re worried, then wait. You have a little before you are forced to update.

To all those with lag issues all I can say is we come to the world of those playing this on the Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition an Galaxy Pro tablets. The lag has been an issue since the tablet was released.

EA compensated me and said that the issue was with the studio. I wouldn’t be surprised if in trying to fix the lag they’ve made it worse 🙂
If suggest to EA to make Sherry Bobbins a friends points prize for us that didn’t get her.
Unfortunately this would probably make people who already have her mad as most spent sprinklies. I like the friend prizes being all new things. Best would be for her to be offered at a low premium.
I wish all old stuff i didnt get from before i started playing was on the friends points or a wheel type setup.
So, 13 days without a basket, but what happens in the last few minutes of the event? Bam! 4 baskets. I hope it was just random statistical stuff, not that EA is really devious lol

Well, judging by how many people are having issues with the uodate, I think I’m going to wait a bit to update my game. Besides, I finally figured out a good use for those pastel fences! They’d make an EXCELLENT bordering for a playground area! And, now that I found out that the stone fences can be place on the boardwalk, I want to get as many of those as possible .
Ooo I like that pastel/playground idea!
Both my devices auto updated, despite turning the auto update off on my Kindle (at least I’m pretty sure I did). Oh well, I think I’ve got enough fences. Still, I’d of liked to be sure. 🙁
I just hope they make Shary Bobbins availabke some other way. This random crap was ridiculous. I didn’t pull her and it’s one of the characters I have wanted for this game.

I was so excited to be done with Easter, but I do miss zapping those bunnies. I’ve only been on my game once right after updating but I had no problems with animation or connectivity. Hope it gets better for all and I stay lucky 😉

I got a forced update just now when I opened the app (not through the App Store). Also, ever since the update, my Springfield has been lagging every time I move around… Is it just me? 🙁

I’ve been advised their working on a patch for it. No ETA just yet, but something is coming soon. They’re aware and working on it. 🙂
I bit the bullet this morning, I did not have a single gold character and had 300 gold eggs left staring me in the face. I am playing as a fremium player and had just over 50 donuts that I gained though leveling up. So i bought 1700 more for 4 spins total. Result — 1 gate, 250 blue, 250 blue, blue basket (?!!!).
Here is where you cannot help that ea is just being devious mongers. I have not received everything under the blue section, so maybe I can get something new with my now 500+ blue eggs. I spin & win… 300 gold eggs.
Instead of taking the loss as a sane person, I fall into the downward spiral this game has created and buy another 1700 crate of gold eggs.
Result: pastel fence, ANOTHER gate, kodos topiary (my second one, with no kang in sight!) and … 250 pink eggs. BLOODY HèLL!
