Sorry this is up a little late guys. I had hoped to get this up early this morning, but that just didn’t work out. Wanted to get this TT questline out for y’all today so you didn’t have to wait until Monday, but normally Saturdays are reserved for non-gameplay posts. So consider this an exception to that rule…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s everyone’s (well almost everyone’s) favorite time in TSTO, the annual Treehouse of Horror Event! Yes, Halloween in Springfield has always been big deal in TSTO and this year is no exception! Also always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

The 2020 THOH Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 2 we’re tasked with collecting Cursed Scrolls! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the second part of the story. So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 2 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Hell is Other Students…

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

I am really cracking up with some of the dialogue in this update. It is pretty funny, and frankly a bit “Hell lite,” compared to what they could be doing. I mean, hell…even as a concept…is pretty damn scary!

The great thing about Hell, is that for you to believe in Hell, you pretty much have to believe in the afterlife. Even that is a complicated thing, when you start trying to bring different concepts from different religions into the conversation. And you really do need to do that. But, trying to settle on a common theme can be a bit of Hell itself.

In fact…right away, I had some fun with “Ned Flanders Personal Hell,” when I won it. I found it irresistible to place it in the one place that would actually really be Hell for Ned…

So…as has been reported (about a zillion times), there are sporadic server outages from EA today, starting with the update this morning.

There is NOTHING you can do about it, but wait for them to fix it. Reinstalling, uninstalling, holding your breath, dancing on one leg, and poking holes in the screen of your padular device to “let the evil out” DOES NOT WORK.

Solution…wait. Go do something else. The new Borat movie is on Netflix. Go have a laugh while you wait.

THOH XXXI Act 2 in Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Who’s ready for more Devilish fun? Act 2 of the THOH XXXI Event has arrived!

Full disclosure guys…I’ve written this a day in advance of Act 2 hitting. I’m relying on EA’s info and the info in the files to put this together (instead of verifying in-game). I’m away today with a family situation, so I’m not able to check directly. If there are any discrepancies I’ll try to clear them up later on. Thanks!

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on November 18th. However, Act 3 will start on November 1st (note the Sunday start date).

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between the kids of Hell and Lisa…

Lisafer: Hellementary School is still school, just with fires, molten lava, and boiling steam.
Hell Kids Crowd: Get a load of the new kid with her fresh–faced, just outta-the-hell-portal attitude!
Lisafer: Relax guys! I’m here to NOT do any work. School is SOOO lame, right?!
Hell Kids Crowd: Oh great. Another one of those too-cool-for-Hell-School types!

This triggers the Act 2 questline, Hell is Other Students, and is followed by a 2hr task for Lisa, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (150). Hell is Other Students is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Another Reminder IMPORTANT NOTE: Act 2 is slated to start TOMORROW, October 23rd. Act 1 isn’t going anywhere, so if you didn’t finish it you’ll still have time to. Look for Act 2 to start around 11am ET. (1500 UTC)
You’ll need Lisa free for the first round of tasks (and those earning event currency). Also, 1 new premium character combo will be released. 150 donuts for the combo.
