App Store Update: The Van Houtens

ALERT: This is currently, as of this posting Tuesday night ET, an APP Store update only. The event is NOT live in-game. So please don’t ask why the update hasn’t started for you yet. It won’t go live in-game, even if you’ve downloaded the update, until Wednesday, August 12th at 11am ET, 1500 UTC.

Also, if you don’t see this update available in your app store try hard closing the store and reopening. Then do a search for Tapped Out. It may not appear in your “update” list right away.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, it looks like while I was busy feeding, bathing, putting my kids to bed, and handling the constant “Mommy I need to go pee!” or “Mommy I need water!” or “Mommy I’m not tired!” calls coming from a certain 4-year-olds bedroom…it seems EA has released the next update in TSTO. Right on time, for a change.

This is currently an APP STORE update, and not live in games.

So who had a Milhouse family reunion in the TSTO update pool?

The Van Houten Event will start on Wednesday August 12th and 11am ET (1500 UTC).

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Update time in Springfield! Just when you think they’re going to skip a week, EA jumps in at the eleventh hour with an update!

Anyway…what’s in store for us this time? Well, it’s return to last year’s Game of Games event. The Game of Games sequel! Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield. So love them, or hate them, they’re still here. So let’s all try to make the best of this…

Anywho….things kick off with 60s tasks for Bart, Milhouse, and Martin.

After you’ve completed these initial tasks you’ll kick off the Game of Games Sequel…

Simpsons Wrestling Act 2 Is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s officially 10am here on the East Coast, and that means Act 2 of the Simpsons Wrestling is live in Springfield!

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Brockman and the Wrestlers…

Kent Brockman: With the undercards complete, it’s time for the main event: SEW’s Iron Yuppie vs. Springfield’s own… Captain Flag!
Iron Yuppie: I’m going to burn that American Flag!
Captain Flag: That’s “Captain” Flag to you, hippie!
Kent Brockman: The two men are grappling… ooo, there’s a Powerbomb… a Camel Clutch… and a Brainbuster…! As expected, Captain Flag is putting the finishing touches on the villainous Masked Yuppie — but wait…
Burns: What’s happening?! No-no-no-NOOOOOOOOO!

This triggers the Act 2 questline, The Springfield Flimflam, and is followed by 4hr tasks for Captain Flag and Burns, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (225). The Springfield Flimflam is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Act 2 prizes.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Update time in Springfield! We’re all getting antsy sitting at home, so it’s nice to have an update to focus on! And highly amusing that it’s based on wrestling, when this may be how some of us are treating our families after a few months of quarantine! 😳

Anyway…what’s in store for us this time? Well, it’s time for Burns and Aristotle Amadopolis to have yet another clash of tapping proportions! Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

The update has hit the game server, so I’m going to release some spoiler images.

Why?

Because we’re all bored at home and need something exciting to help us pass the time.

~~This is on the server, BUT I don’t see the download available just yet. Give it a few more hours and it’ll likely pop up in the App Stores for download~~. Correction, it’s now available for download…at least on Google. BUT remember, just because you download it today doesn’t mean it’s live yet.

This event isn’t scheduled to go live until TOMORROW, Wednesday, April 8th, at 10am ET.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Some exciting news…

EA must know we’re all getting antsy at home because, for the first time in a very long while, we’ve received the content package for the next event from EA…BEFORE the event hit! Which means…we can share some details in advance with you guys! Remember, we’re all under NDA, so please bear with us as we can’t share EVERYTHING we know until EA tells us we can (which is usually how we operate anyway). And/or the event hits the game files. But we have the green light to release some basic info about the next event.

So no more guessing, we now know WHEN the next event will start and WHAT the next event will cover! Pretty exciting stuff huh?

So I know there are a bunch of you who like to remain spoiler-free (and this, to me, will not violate our spoiler-free policy as this is information provided to us directly from EA. They’re giving us the go-ahead to share…) I’ll post the WHAT below the fold. However, as we all thought, the next event will start tomorrow, April 8th

So be prepared on Wednesday, April 8th for the event launch

Halloween 2019 SPOILERS…

Update: THOH is available for download on Android and iOS. IT IS NOT LIVE IN GAME. Just the app store update is available, it will not go live until tomorrow morning at 10am ET, 14oo UTC.
And so far…they have still not fixed that annoying sound that starts up when you turn on TSTO even if your sounds are disabled…FIX IT EA!

UPDATE: The update has hit the server, but it’s still not available in the app store as of yet. Give it about an hour or so, needs to get approval from iOS, Android, and Amazon before it shows up as an update.
