Ray Gun Reminder…New Phase Starts Soon!

Update 10pm EDT: An update just hit the Google Play store…this adds nothing new to the game at the moment, so it’s most likely just glitch/bug fixes.  And/or preparation for the new phase in 6 hours!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a little reminder that in just about 8 hrs from now (0800GMT, 4am EDT) the Ray Guns will switch to Long Protein Strings.  And any Ray Gun prizes you have yet to win will lock up and you will no longer be able to earn Ray Guns to win them.

So….if you’re not quite at the Hover-Copter, in the next few hours try to wrap up your squishing and see if you can earn those extra Ray Guns to get there! (Remember to check out our end of Phase 2 tips)

Tapped Out Premium Halloween Walkthroughs: Pirate Airship

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Yesterday EA brought a few ghosts back to Springfield…and they arrived via the Pirate Airship!  The Pirate Airship is an all new premium (and expensive premium at that) item for your Springfield!

The Pirate Airship comes with a hilarious questline…and a questline that gets some forgotten characters involved!  We’ve covered all of the basics of it here in the rundown post…but now let’s take a look at what happens if/when you purchase it for your Springfield!

This is also good for those of you that don’t want to pay the donuts for it…but are curious about the questline….

THOH Ray Gun Prizes: Breaking Down the Hover-Copter

Hey Howdy Hey Alien Squishing Tappers!

Well….unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that Halloween has arrived in Springfield!  A dark haze has over taken the streets of Springfield and Aliens are on the attack!  By now we’re all busy squishing and stopping those aliens dead in their tracks….and earning as many Ray Guns as we can!

With this event EA is trying something new (for them) and releasing items/prizes in phases.  Two prizes each phase, three phases, for a total of 6 prizes all together.  For the second phase, which lasts 11 days and ends 10/31 (0800GMT), you can win 2 prizes by collecting Ray Guns.  The second prize awarded at 7,100 Ray Guns is the Hover-Copter.

Candy Time!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Candy time is back!   For a this weekend (it looks like this ends Monday 10/27 at 0800GMT) you can purchase Candy (and nails) from the store!  Of course to do so you’ll have to spend donuts, but they’re actually priced fairly well.  (At least in my opinion anyway…)

Here’s what you can get:

It looks like all the prizes from the Gold and Silver Treat bags can be purchased…which is great if you’re struggling to collect Pumpkins or Chocolates!  🙂

Remember…this will disappear on 10/27 at 0800GMT (4 am EDT)…however it looks like it will be reappearing each weekend…like the Elixir.

Another weekend only offer from EA was released very early this morning…this time King Homer’s Skyscraper is making a comeback!

A Little Thursday Night Fun: THOH Promo/Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

How are my favorite Tappers doing this fine evening?  Everyone glad it’s almost Friday?

I was making my usual internet rounds when I noticed a little video on EA’s TSTO Facebook Page.

At first I thought this was just the normal TSTO Trailer…you know the one we see at the start of TSTO.  Where Homer blows up Springfield.  But I love that video…and I had a little time to kill so I decided to make myself giggle and watch it.

Low and behold it wasn’t the intro video…instead it was a Trailer for the TSTO Halloween Event! Check it out:

Should I Buy…Returning Halloween Items??

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween time in Springfield! Leaves are falling, there’s a dimness to our towns, something is floating in the water…oh and items from Halloween Past have returned to our stores!

As with Halloweens past (and other events) EA has decided to make old items new again, and give players who might have missed out on something a second chance to get it.  Of course that second chance doesn’t come with out a price, as many of the returning items that were once free are now premium.

Recently EA brought back several items from 2013 and 2012, Frog Prince, Freak Mobile, King Snorky, House of Evil, Krusty Doll, Bad Dream House, Devil Flanders, Heck House & Witch Marge (with her Cauldron)..oh and we’ll even cover Booberella here too!.  Now many of you are curious if any of these items are worth your hard earned donuts, and we’ve broken a lot of these down for the previous events…however we decided it’d be great to give them another look in a Halloween Should I Buy reboot post!

So now let’s take a look and see if these items are worth YOUR donuts!
