Goodbye Phase 1, Hello Phase 2: Ray Guns Are Here!

The switch has happened…Probes are gone & Ray Guns have arrived!  We’ll be working through the details of the new phase and have any changes up for you soon…but the basic principle remains the same.

Squish Regillians, stop/send Grem-Aliens, shoot down UFOs & earn Treat Bags to earn enough Ray Guns to earn all the Ray Gun Prizes!

Kang will kick off Phase 2 with a 24hr quest.  So make sure he’s free.  Homer is not needed just yet, so if you have him on the Donut Torture Device you’re ok 🙂

Probe Reminder…New Phase Starts Soon!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a little reminder that in just about 5 hrs from now (0800GMT) the Probes will switch to Ray Guns.  And any Probe prizes you have yet to win will lock up and you will no longer be able to earn probes to win them.

So….if you’re not quite at the Donut Torture device, in the next few hours try to wrap up your squishing and see if you can earn those extra Probes to get there!

Candy Time!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Candy time is back!   For a this weekend (it looks like this ends Monday 10/20 at 0800GMT) you can purchase Candy (and nails) from the store!  Of course to do so you’ll have to spend donuts, but they’re actually priced fairly well.  (At least in my opinion anyway…)

Here’s what you can get:

It looks like all the prizes from the Gold and Silver Treat bags can be purchased…which is great if you’re struggling to collect Pumpkins or Chocolates!  🙂

Remember…this will disappear on 10/20 at 0800GMT (4 am EDT)…however it looks like it will be reappearing each weekend…like the Elixir.

10/16 In-Game Update: THOH Episode Tie-In

Update: Homer needs to be free.  However, some are reporting that if they go to Krustyland it’ll trigger and when they go back to Springfield they can squish to get the shirt.  So try that first if Homer’s not free in your town.  If you don’t have Krustyland and Homer’s on the Donut Torture Device….store the device.  It’ll knock him off of the task, but he’ll be free.

THOH Probe Prizes: Breaking Down the Donut Torture Device

Hey Howdy Hey Alien Squishing Tappers!

It’s Halloween time in Springfield!  A dark haze has over taken the streets of Springfield and Aliens are on the attack!  By now we’re all busy squishing and stopping those aliens dead in their tracks….and earning as many probes as we can!

With this event EA is trying something new (for them) and releasing items/prizes in phases.  Two prizes each phase, three phases, for a total of 6 prizes all together.  For the first phase, which lasts 12 days and ends 10/20, you can win 2 prizes by collecting Probes.  The second (and final) major prize awarded at 8,050Probes is the Donut Torture Device.
