Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
I see that many of you are now starting to unlock the Easter content and are so far loving the event! What’s not to love? Hunting wabbits and free stuff! Oh and did I mention FREE donuts? Not only are donuts in the questline (check here for the post) but many Tappers are reporting they’re STILL earning donuts from tapping neighbor’s buildings, as long as they’re maxed out on Friend Points (check here for more details on donuts in FP)! Not a bad way to have an event start off, right?
So now that many of you are starting to unlock the content, and some of you are acquiring your first Easter Box, I see some of you starting to question the math of it all. As I explained in my odds post with this event you’re guaranteed to unlock all of the items, as long as you’re diligent with your tapping. And some of you are starting to say…’wait a min! 81 attempts to guarantee it x 500 Eggs = 40,500 Eggs/color! That’s impossible to do!’
And you know what? Those of you thinking like that…you’re right. It is impossible to do in the way you’re thinking. The problem is…you’re thinking about it all wrong. You’re taking the literal conversion of exactly how many eggs you get and coming up WAY short. However, as they say…there’s more than 1 way to skin a cat…er bunny?
Those of you taking the literal conversions into account you’re forgetting an IMPORTANT aspect of this update….games of chance. Let’s break it all down and I’ll show you how you can earn enough to unlock everything….with out using donuts. All you need is diligent tapping and patience. You may not get something until the very last day, but keep your patience and don’t lose your cool!
Let’s start with the basics…how many eggs you can earn and where you can earn them.
Remember, the color eggs you earn most often greatly depends on if you’re pink or blue (check out this post to see which one you are). Which ever group you’re in that’s your dominant egg color. So when I say you’ll earn your dominant egg color I mean it to indicate the group you’re in. So if you’re in the blue group your dominant egg color is blue and if you’re in the pink group your dominant egg group is pink. Got it? Good 🙂
Ok so let’s start with the main questline. You can find the full main questline walkthrough here, and it breaks up exactly how many eggs you’ll earn and where. So over the course of the entire main questline you will earn 5,215 of your dominant color egg. That’s from completed task bonuses and character actions.
Let’s talk about those character actions now. Once you’ve unlocked the task in the main questline (ie that part comes up as a quest for you to complete) you will unlock that task for that character to earn Easter Eggs, instead of cash, for the Easter themed specific task. UPDATE: This only applies to Nelson and Ralph, because they run through a different questline. Ned and Moe’s should unlock prior to having to do it in the quest. Which characters will earn you eggs throughout the entire event? Here’s the complete this:
Homer– 12hr task to Steal Easter Eggs- Earns 25 Eggs of your dominant color
Ned– 16 hr task to Hunt Bunnies- Earns 30 Eggs of your dominant color
Ralph– 16hr task to Collect Easter Eggs- Earns 30 Eggs of your dominant color
Nelson- 16hr task to Raid Bird Nests- Earns 30 Eggs of your dominant color
Moe- 32 hr task to Hunt Bunnies with Prejudice- Earns 55 Eggs of your dominant color
Crazy Cat Lady (if you purchased her)– 24hr task to throw Bunnies- Earns 70 Eggs of your dominant Color
So conservatively…and assuming you didn’t purchase Crazy Cat Lady and sent Homer on his task twice a day & everyone else once a day (except Moe)…you can earn at least 3,775 eggs over the event just from making the characters do tasks.
Now let’s break down the bunnies. When you whack or zap bunnies they’ll earn you either 1-2 eggs (and sometimes bonuses like Baskets or the Faberge Egg!…Faberge Egg chance only happens AFTER you’ve completed the main quest). Now Bunnies “spawn” in your town at a rate of 1 every 5 minutes automatically. They will max out at 40 bunnies, but up to 20 bunnies will store in the “bank”. Meaning they’ll keeping “spawning” but won’t show in your town until you’ve cleared out some of the 40 bunnies in your town. Once you’ve cleared 1 of the 40 it’ll be replaced instantly by one of the 20 in the bank and a new one will “spawn” and sit in the bank. Make sense? So basically every 5 hrs you can get 60 bunnies from your town automatically.
Now assuming you go into your town every 4.75 hrs and clear out the Bunnies and do this at least 3 times a day….you’ll earn at least 5,200 eggs (figuring it’ll give you 60 bunnies at a clip because it will take you 15 minutes to find every bunny in your town). Taking into account that some will give you 2 eggs and some only give you 1. In this example we assume 20 bunnies out of 180 gave you 2 eggs when tapped.
Another way you can get MORE bunnies in your town is to plant carrots at Cletus’s farm. Carrots are unlocked during part 8 of the main walkthrough. They take 4 hrs to grow and when complete they award you 10 bunnies. So assuming you plant carrots at least 3 times a day once unlocked, that’s an additional 30 bunnies in your town. Again these bunnies can give you 1 or 2 eggs each. We’ll assume for this example you’ll earn 36 eggs per day. Conservatively once you unlock the carrots on the farm and grow them continuously you could earn an additional 720 eggs, at least. Note: Clear out your town of Bunnies before you harvest the carrots from the farm. Other wise the 10 bunnies will count towards your total bunny count (and could result in you getting fewer than 60 Bunnies every 5 hrs) UPDATE: Confirmed…you can use Witch Marge to speed this and year 10 bunnies every 2 hrs. Full post with details on this here
Towards the end of the main questline you are awarded Frink’s Egg Generator. This will earn you 75 eggs of your dominant color every 12hrs. Assuming you do this twice a day, once you unlock it, you could earn an additional 2,850 eggs of your dominant color, at least.
You can also earn eggs from your friends. This is on a sliding scale and you can find out more details on this here. Assuming you have at least 75 neighbors (and i know many of you have 100, and you visit them everyday) you can earn at least 435 eggs from neighbors per day (based on 75. At 100 neighbors you can earn 510 eggs per day). Over the course of the event that converts to at least 8,970 Eggs (13,260 for 100 neighbors).
So here’s a break down of the Eggs you can earn up to this point:
5,215 Eggs for Main Walkthrough (Once Complete)
3,775 Eggs for making characters do tasks (Homer twice a day, others 1/day)
5,200 Eggs from Bunnies in your town (60/5 hrs..clear town every 4.75hrs)
720 Eggs from growing Carrots on Cletus’s Farm. 4hrs- 3x/day
2,850 Eggs from Frink’s Egg Generator (clearing it twice/day)
13,260 Eggs from 100 Neighbors
For 30,020 at this point.
But we’re not done just yet….
Easter baskets are another way to get eggs. Easter baskets can be won in the Golden Easter Box OR won when you zap a bunny (in addition to eggs)….don’t spend donuts on them! They’re a 1 time use but when placed in YOUR town you can earn up to 400 free eggs from your neighbors for EACH basket you place (free meaning you don’t lose eggs). In addition you can give your neighbor 100 eggs of a color you don’t need (your dominant color) in exchange for 50 of a color you do need. Exchange rate may be bad BUT at least you’ll get useful Eggs in return!
So those are all the ways you can EARN eggs in the game. But I know what you’re thinking…it doesn’t equal anywhere NEAR what you would need to be guaranteed to unlock all of the prizes. Or does it?
You see, what most people are forgetting, part of earning more eggs comes from buying Easter boxes (with Eggs, not donuts). Not everyone in this game is weighted the same when it comes to earning prizes. Everyone is broken up into 2 groups, pink and blue (as I explained in this post). Whichever group you’re in means that Easter Box has a better advantage for you, so you’ll unlock all of the prizes much sooner than 81 attempts. This is because the odds for each coveted prize are higher and weighted in your favor, while the odds for the non-coveted prizes (the fences, trees, ponds etc) are lower and weighted towards the other group more. Meaning you’re less likely to land on a fence in your dominant group than you are your non-dominant group. With me so far?
What this means is you will need a LOT less than the 81 attempts to unlock all of the prizes in your dominant group & at that point you can stop “playing” that box and exchange eggs with your neighbors. Give them 100 of your dominant eggs, which you no longer need, in exchange for 50 of your non-dominant egg which you do need.
In your non-dominant box (and we’re still talking about pink and blue here) the odds are stacked up more against you. Less likely that you’ll unlock the coveted items and more likely that you’ll unlock the non-coveted items. While the odds aren’t terrible, they’re not the greatest either. While you certainly can unlock everything in less than 81 attempts…actually a LOT less (for me it was 27 attempts). Some of you may need all 81 attempts to unlock everything (but I honestly think you’ll hit it much sooner based on the percentages and probability…but there’s always that 1 tapper).
Think of the 81 as a fail safe. Basically a way that if you haven’t unlocked the character/item at a certain point you are guaranteed to get it at that point. But more than likely the odds are that you will unlock it all sooner.
Additionally….once you’ve unlocked the coveted/unique items in your box they will be replaced by 250 Eggs of a different color. For example if you clear the Block-o Store in your Pink Easter Box it will be replaced by 250 Blue Eggs. Similarly if you clear the Egg Council Guy from your Blue Easter Box it’ll be replaced by 250 Pink Eggs. So MORE opportunity to earn Eggs within the Boxes!
Now let’s talk about the Gold boxes. You win Eggs for your Gold boxes by playing each Easter Box. The odds that you’ll land on Gold Eggs are the same for both boxes (45%…) and they are pretty darn good BUT your dominant color box you’ll only land on 100 Gold Eggs and in your non-dominant color box you’ll land on 300 Gold Eggs. But these pile up even faster than fences and umbrella’s when you’re trying to unlock items! So it’s pretty quick to earn enough Gold Eggs to buy a box.
Now with the Gold Eggs it’s a little tricky. The odds are the same for everyone BUT unique/coveted items are replaced with….250 Eggs of a color (blue or pink) when won. Which means more chances to earn eggs via the Gold Box!
Banana Dictatorship and Bunny 24601 are all replaced with 250 eggs of a color. -Banana Dictatorship is replaced with Pink eggs
-Bunny 24601 is replaced with Blue eggs.
This is important because…the odds for the Banana Dictatorship (16%) and Bunny 25601 (12%) are high (and they’re guaranteed to unlock at a max of 20 attempts..no min) so there is a good chance you’ll land on these fairly early in the process. Once replaced by eggs those eggs hold the same odds to win…and again those odds are high. While the fences and gates are still at higher odds (although the gate isn’t much higher), Kodos, Kang, Hugs & Shary are all at lower odds. So there’s a very high chance you’ll unlock more eggs, to get more spins!
Whew! Everyone still with me? Still awake?! Bueller? Bueller? 😉
I KNOW it’s a lot to process. So here’s my advice: don’t over think it, just play!
Don’t get frustrated that you haven’t unlocked Shary Bobbins on day 5…you have plenty of time and you will get there. You have 26 more days to earn all of the eggs you can get. Just keep checking on your Springfield (preferably every 4.5hrs), visit your friends daily, clear your handshakes, zap the bunnies, send your characters on tasks to earn eggs and ENJOY it! It’s a hilarious questline that’ll make you giggle and a fun update! So relax and enjoy Tappers….or should I say Zappers? 😉
What do YOU think of the update? How are you doing at unlocking the prizes? Have you tried the Egg Swap yet? You collecting eggs at a furious pace? Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

Add me my origin user name is davidkonefal. I have pink eggs looking for people with blue eggs
After the update I can’t manage my friends anymore. I have many friends I need to drop because they’ve quit playing and there’s no way to access it now. Help!
Ok I found I can access it at the end of my neighbors list but didn’t there used to be an origins icon on the visiting screen. Now you have to scroll through all your neighbors.
it should be on your main neighbors screen. It’s been like that since valentine’s day. Does yours look different than it does in this post?
I’ve just had a sudden realization: the baskets could be the key to getting A LOT OF FREE EGGS!
I’ll try to describe my egg recipe 🙂 , I hope it can help somebody…
Ingredients (a.k.a. “what you need to make it work”):
– 400 eggs of the same color (blue or pink) let’s call it “COLOR X”
– 1 basket of COLOR X
– 4 neighbours with your same ingredients (1 basket of COLOR X, 400 eggs of COLOR X)
You must all be neighbours with each other .
Recipe (a.k.a. “what you have to do”)
1) You and your 4 friends place your COLOR-X-baskets in your own towns
2) You and your 4 friends visit each other and leave 100 COLOR-X-eggs to each friend, each receiving 50 eggs of the other color (COLOR-Y)
3) You and your 4 friends go back to your own towns and gather your 400 COLOR-X-eggs from the basket
4) So what happened? Each of you gave away 400 COLOR-X-eggs, and got 400 COLOR-X-eggs + 200 COLOR-Y-eggs. So, the NET RESULT is YOU ARE UP 200 EGGS!!! And you are ready to repeat the same process again as long as you have another basket!
A great thing about this method is that it does not care at all about your dominant colors: you can all be blue earners or pink earners, or a mix of both, and you can do it with blue eggs as well as pink eggs!
You’ve got it! That recipe is what many players are forgetting when they try to “do the math”. 🙂
Yes, baskets inject eggs into the game. Each basket, if used fully, will create 200 new eggs (50 for each use).
It’s an interesting mechanic psychologically because an individual is better off not using other people’s baskets as long as other people use their baskets. However, if everyone behaves this way then the baskets stop working. So some sizable fraction of the community needs to agree to cooperate. Or you can just trade between your own accounts if you have more than one.
The question is then how many baskets can I get for free?
That is where all the variables come in. The bunny tap ones are random, and you have to win prizes in the gold box for them to be replaced by baskets.
I have 18 baskets at the moment, all for free. The problem is that neighbors, (those that will actually use them which is few) put 3 eggs in a basket and then move to the next. Since I cannot return baskets to inventory, nor move eggs from one basket to another, I have 6 baskets that are partially full. I tried to hide the ones that are totally empty in hopes that people won’t use them. We really should be able to return baskets to inventory. I really really hate this.
I wish they could be put back too but it is what it is. Hiding some is a good idea others could do too. I try to only put one or two out at a time for that reason although my luck in the basket department is low.
”Assuming you have at least 75 neighbors (and i know many of you have 100, and you visit them everyday)” =(
I have less than half of that and if I add neighbors says :”the neighbor has a max number of neighbors .. ”
And in a day i have 300 eggs for day ..
Luck is not with me =/
which is the maximum of neighbors you can have?
The max number is 100. Sometimes the game is difficult in allowing you to add more friends. If this happens try the Origin Desktop Application OR download another EA game (like scrabble) and add Origin Friends through there. I know it sounds odd, but it works! Check out this post for more details on both 🙂
Thanks for the info!!! =)
I Install the origin on my computer
I add people but some ids i can’t because privacy
But it served me Thanks ( i have 94 friends!! o.o)
I think that this post is the best I have EVER seen on this site. It gave me all the information I needed to make sure that I was relaxed about this event, and earning eggs without spending donuts. Thank you SOOOOOOO much! 🙂
Well thank you! That was exactly my goal when writing it! So glad it could help keep you clam and relaxed about the event 🙂
I have a basket sitting in my town, it has been there for 2days, why won’t it work? what do i have to do to get it to start collecting eggs? i payed donuts for it, others that i earned have already payed.
The baskets will get filled by your neighbors when they visit. It might be a little bit before they start to get filled because you’re relying on your neighbor’s to give you 100+ of their eggs. So you might not get any until they’ve cleared their dominant box, so just give it a little bit of time. You can check out more details on the baskets here
As far as how you get to start collecting eggs..you can earn them from your neighbor’s and from bunnies. Check out this post for details on visiting neighbors to collect eggs and all of the other details you need for where you can collect eggs should be just above you in this post 🙂
so far i have gotten enough eggs for 2 “spins” of the pink (dominant) box and both times it landed on 100 gold eggs. Of course I would have loved to get some of the items by now, but I’m trying to remember that old saying “patience is a virtue”… also that other saying “there are a lot of good items in the gold box”.. I can’t remember what philosopher said that one 😉
It was definitely Alisscrates or Bunnto or one of the classical geniuses.
“Meaning you’re less likely to land on a fence in your dominate group than you are your non-dominate group.”
I get your point, but the fence is the one crappy reward which doesn’t depend on which group you’re in (at least according to the table in the “What Are You: Pink or Blue?” post 😉
Thanks for all the info. This post starts strong with a lot of mathematical rigor but in the end there’s a lot of hand-waving. It seems a crucial step in getting it all is to not be so unlucky as to need 40,500 pink AND 40,500 blue eggs in order to guarantee those prizes.
The issue is there are a LOT of variables that change the overall outcome. So it is really going to depend on how you play, your luck in the boxes, etc. So we want to make sure you know there IS a chance and to not rush it so much at first.
For myself, I was getting the premium items in the boxes within 15 to 25 tries in my B game. So a matter of chance.
EA also has some stuff they may add during the event to help. (One we see, but until it releases…can’t confirm on all the details until we see it physically in play in the game.)
Yes it is possible to get everything, of course. But the question remains as to how likely it actually is. The article sets us up with statements like this:
“Let’s break it all down and I’ll show you how you can earn enough to unlock everything….with out using donuts. All you need is diligent tapping and patience. You may not get something until the very last day, but keep your patience and don’t lose your cool!”
Which makes it seem as if it is possible to get everything without donuts. And it is. However, we don’t know how likely it is. The article details lots of great egg getting techniques, but the question as to whether it will be enough is unanswered.
It would be interesting to program a Monte-Carlo simulation to determine on average how many days it takes to collect all the prizes. Then we could answer questions like: For what fraction of players will collecting all prizes take longer than the event lasts?
All that aside. The event seems to be set up well and I’m having a lot fun keeping the bunnies underground.
We do see this as more player friendly event. They really built in a fail safe to try and help players get it all. More is coming.
So I went to my neighbors and out of about 40, only 3 had baskets for the egg exchange. At the first one I dropped off 100 pink and got back 50 blue. At the second one I dropped off 100 pink again and got the 50 blue. The last was the other way. I dropped off 100 blue and got back 50 pink. This was before I knew about the dominant color thing.
Did I just screw myself? I wasn’t sure exactly what I was doing until it was too late.
You did not lose too much. So you should be OK. Just keep in mind that you want to give away what you do not need in exchange for what you do need.

Next go round, see if they have the basket you really want. If they do not, then skip dropping any off until they do. You can also use our EGGS-EXCHANGE area to find people to help you out better.
http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/04/16/addicts-eggs-change-swap-eggs-with-your-neighbor/
I really should have come here before just trying things on my own. You guys always know what the deal is. The event instructions didn’t say anything about there being a dominant egg color. The best advice is to just leave those exchange baskets alone until you’ve got all the prizes from one box.
Thanks, and great post by the way.
Thanks! We love to help out. 😉
While we’re doing maths, I wanted to bring a little simple calculation to everyone’s attention:
100 Donuts = 5700 Eggs.
75 Donuts = Frink-thetic Egg Generator Mk. II = 300 Eggs a Day * 26 days = 7800 Eggs. (AND a nifty sciency decoration you can keep!)
As long as we act soon, the Frink-thetic Egg Generator Mk. II is a really good deal.
There are so many possibilities. The main thing in this post was to help those FREEMIUM players to acquire as many eggs as they can. Or for those wanting to save precious donuts for other items.
If you have donuts to spare…the possibilities are endless to get a ton of eggs fast. 😉
That was such a great read. Loved it.
Glad you liked it Chris! 🙂
I can’t get my eggs to exchange for baskets. I have well over 500 but every time I click on the trophy it keeps saying just view the basket! How do I get it to actually exchange!
Check out Bunnies post here for a full rundown on exchanging eggs via baskets 🙂
It won’t let me exchange my eggs for baskets! I have well over 500 and I click on the trophy and it just keeps saying view the basket. How do I actually exchange?
You can’t exchange eggs for baskets…you can only exchange eggs for eggs via baskets. 🙂
You are actually viewing the boxes, not the baskets. Please take a look at THIS post for details on the baskets. 😉
http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/04/16/a-tisket-a-tasket-a-bunny-basket/
Unfortunately this going to be a tough one for me to complete. It just do happens the next month is very busy for me and I will be lucky to visit once a day let alone three times. Ah well such is life, hopefully I am lucky and get the items I want.
So you’re saying that some bunnies give 2 eggs?? Do you see 2 egg icons, or does it just add 2 eggs to your count when you tap it? I ask because I’ve tapped a few hundred bunnies so far and have not noticed any “2-eggers”. 4 baskets so far, thank you to those who have helped me fill some of them!!
Did you start to feel like Professor Frink while running all of your math equations??!!?? “Hoyven-Glavin!!”
You should see 2 eggs (usually it’s 1 pink and 1 blue).
And yes…too much math! 🙂
I’m in the same boat. Every bunny I clicked only gave me 1 egg. So I thought maybe some will say +2 pink eggs or +2 blue eggs. Admittedly yesterday, I wouldn’t collect all the eggs once they appeared but would just let them autocollect after 10 seconds. But after reading this post this morning, I have payed extra attention and collected each egg in my main as well as in both my secondaries. After over 400 bunnies, every single one has yielded just 1 egg and each one has only said either +1 blue egg or +1 pink egg.
Hi Alissa,
Your posts are all so great! Thank you for getting all this info out to us so quickly! I’m loving the Easter update so far, and am really relying on tstoaddicts.com as a support group for these times.
That being said, I have to say something: in each of your posts when you say “dominate” egg color, you actually mean “dominant”. Sorry to have such a silly gripe, but as I say, I’ve been reading your posts, and it’s starting to drive me up a wall. EVERYTHING else, so awesome.
Keep up the great work!
allakazam81
That’s what I get for typing faster than my brain thinks sometimes! Thanks i’ll fix them now 🙂
I think this maybe the longest post tstoaddicts short history lol and i did not know about the baskets going away after one use thanks for that info
lol yea it was a lot to cover! Just glad it makes sense to everyone (I hope!) 🙂
Absolutely a phenomenal, lengthy but def much needed post! Thank You Alissa! For me it was a very informative post! I totally got it! 🙂
She did great work on it. Took a while to pull all the info from the coding, but wanted to get it right before passing it on to you guys. I may share a few bottles of “water” with her later. She deserves it. 😉
That was too many numbers for me lol.
But I agree the likelyhood is that even by playing the game at the intended pace you will unlock everthing available before the end of the event. I said it about Halloween and Christmas and managed to get everything (although Christmas went down to the wire for me) so anyone panic buying donuts in order to get everthing is being a bit premature in my opinion.
lol it is a lot to process. Which is why i said…don’t over think it and just have fun! 🙂
Free meaning you don’t lose eggs? 😀 so happy about that!!!! It’s so difficult finding the bunnies. I’m tapping and holding to get the zapper and going side to side across my whole town in the hope that will get me most of them.
The only way you lose eggs is if you give them to your neighbor. Otherwise, even if your neighbor gives you eggs…you won’t lose yours 🙂
I’m blue and put down a blue basket then realised I couldn’t store it and I didn’t want to lose my precious pink eggs. So I’m now super happy that I won’t lose them.. I think I truly am an addict.. Partly because of how happy that made me. Partly because I just spent 2 million game money on 100 Easter banners and 50 Easter floats.. In case I ever want to do a design so huge it requires that many… Haha
lol that’s awesome!
Glad we calmed your panic! 🙂
I discovered an easy way to find the bunnies. Click your “move” arrow, then hide your Houses and Trees – leaving only your characters. As you scroll abound town, the bunnies will show up clearly! When you find them, you will have to click the back arrow at the top left of the page to get back to your main screen. It may seem convoluted, but it makes it easy to spot the bunnies – happy hunting!
We have all that info in our post here… 😉
http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/04/18/to-tap-or-to-zap-bunny-stunner/
Alissa, you’re so logical! Play, try to be patient, and have fun! No panicking till the end hahaha. I’m terrible at math but this was easy enough to understand, thanks! One thing, I’m not trying to be an editor, but double check the part where you talk about the gold eggs. You said you get 100 eggs from dominant box and 300 from dominant box. I’m such an addict I’ve obsessively read every post and comment, so I know what you meant 😉 But others may not be as nerdy as me lol. NERD ALERT.
whoops! Thanks for pointing that out…too.many.numbers! Fixing it now 🙂
What about ppl who work 1-9:30? Will I get all the prizes? My work doesn’t have wifi! We are not allowed to have electronics in the building…::sigh::
I hope I get all the content. I really do. ::tries not to get discouraged::
Try to think of the glass as half full Steph! Don’t get discouraged…it’s still REALLY early in the event.
Do you get a lunch? If so and you can go outside try to sneak to a starbucks (or similar) to tap and reset. If not don’t worry about it so much, just play and have fun! 😀
I am missing something. I have 505 pink eggs. Where do I find the Easter box? The Easter trophy symbol takes me to view the boxes and prizes I can collect. In my top right is the zap symbol. Under decor/buildings there is no box to buy. I thought I was suppose to unlock the first prize at 500 eggs, what am I missing?
Click on the trophy on the bottom right of the main springfield. It will open up the prize boxes. From there select the one you have 500 eggs for. Once that opens tap the 500 under the box to start it 🙂
Thank you. I kept thinking that was just information. I need to just tap things and see what happens 🙂 thanks again
Btw Alissa….fantastic post . You covered everythiiiiiiiing . Way to go !
Thank you! I tired to cover all of the ways to get Eggs. Just thankful it made sense to everyone! 🙂
Hi…I finally made it back up and out of the “Easter has arrived” thread…trying now to avoid that abyss… 🙂 …I suffered an accident yesterday that came outta nowhere…nearly ruined my…Easter…nearly…my friends yelled for me to get out of the burning windmill just in time…fire baaad!!!
Forgive me, @lissa…I skipped around your above blog and hastily skimmed over your stats…much of which was so very greek to me at this hour… 🙂
One thing I noticed last night was basket placement…while trying to give away some blue eggs, I tapped the floating icon but the icon for the pink basket next to it popped instead…giving away my pink eggs…I would ask that everyone give alittle more space between the two…
Old habits…having little need for eggs, I resorted to, “egg, egg, spraycan” as my tapping sequence…no, not one donut… 🙂 …yeah that should be a frown but I’m trying to give off a positive vibe… 🙂 Vandalizing still made the flashy download activate but that’s all I saw…compared to yesterday afternoon, I am much, much better!!! 🙂
lol well glad you’re in a better mood!
And good tip on the basket placement…we’ll update the posts to indicate that 🙂
I dont comment very often but I always read the posts and visit the site whenever an email pops up notifying me of a new post. Just wanted to say, great post and keep up the hard work 🙂
Ive been playing since Halloween 2012 and honestly I think the big events improve each time. A lot of thought and planning has obviously gone into this Easter event and it shows.
Thank you and we love hearing from you when you do comment!
Glad you’re enjoying the event so far! 🙂
I have to remember to visit this amazing blog before buying anything on the special events! I spent 10 on a basket. I wouldn’t have hated that had it not vanished! Not a fan of the one time use items (I just liked the huge basket in my Springfield), but loving the rest of the event. Including all the meta references in the dialogue.
Glad you’re loving it so far! And yes…check before you buy! 😉
1 time use isn’t the best, but at least you can earn them for free too 🙂
Just wondering: If I keep a basket, can I use it as decoration after the event? Or will it just vanish from my inventory?
That I don’t know. Only way to find out is to try it right? 😉
Can Marge the Witch speed up the carrot crop like she could with the Valentine’s roses?
Yes, in theory BUT Witch Marge takes 4 hrs to complete and the carrots take 4 hrs to complete…so there’s really no point to use her. She really only works on 8hr crops (she’ll bring them down to 4hrs total).
I’ve used her to speed up Tomacco to 30m and Roses to 12h (3x 8h growth time in actual 3x 4h). 4h carrots should grow in 2h with witch help.
Marc….I absolutely stand corrected on this! I just tested it out and you’re right. You can use witch marge on the carrots to speed them up from 4 hrs to 2hrs! And Marge is still in the task for 2 more hours, so if you plant more carrots those will go in 2 hrs as well! Thank you for pointing that out for me…I will be doing a post on this shortly….it’s a great tip!
I’ve noticed my Marge the Witch speeds up crops that take less than 8 hours! She just cuts the time in half. I’m going to try it with my carrots when I get to that point! It would mean checking the game every two hours but I’m totally fine with that because I love the bunnies!!
Just verified this (it’s been a busy morning!)…it works! Going to post about this as soon as I’m through with this section of comments 🙂
Thanks for checking and confirming Marge’s functionality, Alissa!
We are sticklers on confirming. We want to make sure it works too. 😉
Well, I was really impatient again and spent 100 donuts on eggs. Yeah, I know, stupid, right? And of course I got a lot of fences and some of the smaller decorations out of it. I was a bit disappointed, but afterwards, I read that you have to spin at least 12 times before you even get a chance at the big ticket items. So I guess that at least got those first spins out of the way… Now I can slow down and hope for better things to come 🙂
Even with donut wastage, I do like this event (who doesn’t like bunnies???), and thanks so much for all the help & information. Now I just have to read it BEFORE I play 😉
Lol trying to get everything out asap but we understand some people are impatient. You don’t wanna know how many donuts I went through testing doesn’t theories on this lol
I shudder at the thought what it might cost you all to get advanced info out to us… Do you ever get freebies from EA? Seems to me you shoulder part of their work as well, answering questions and being generally helpful.
lol nothing free from EA. But i can’t say I blame them. They are a business…and they’re job is to make money. They didn’t ask me to speed everything up, I did it on my own lol Partial insanity mostly desire to help you guys out! 🙂
But to the same extent…we have a great relationship with TinyCo and we still don’t get freebies so, I think it’s just the business thing 😉
I really had hoped they might be more appreciative of all your efforts. Apart from offering support for their product, it is also better than any advertisement EA could ever come up with. This little community is part of the reason I still play the game; not only the writers, but also the loyal readers and commenters. I havn’t found anything like it for any other game I played over the years – most of them I don’t play any more. EA should really be giving you a percentage for the donuts I spent on this game 😉
And this is all a very roundabout way of saying: I am so glad you’re out there!
Awwww well we love what we do here. Wouldn’t have it any other way. It gives us great joy helping others the best we can. It all started due to WE wanted to know what to do and the options to find out had been shut down or just not at the level we wanted.
It is a silly lil game. You are supposed to have fun and laugh. So we try to provide that to our readers. (that and it gives me an outlet to be a lil cray cray. Lol)
Thank YOU for continuing to come to our lil site. YOU are our reward for what we do. Without readers such as yourself…we would be two fuzzies and one poor Alissa locked in a house talking to one another. Lol. 😛
Sorry, didn’t quite get it, can you go through that again please? 🙂
Thanks for crunching the numbers. Enjoying the event so far and not particularly worried at this stage but it may change to mild panic in a few weeks time.
Now to zap/tap in my town. Is it wrong that every time I zap one of the poor bunnies, I still smile?
lol 1+1= ahhhhhhhhhhh!
I think everyone will be in that panic mode in 2 weeks…just human nature lol
And only if it’s wrong that Bunny does it too! 😉
So just tap, zap and let the odds gods do their thaaaang ? I can do that !! ….also wooohooo got 2 donuts on my friendly travels today 🙂 ………… Go team PINK !
🙂 exactly don’t over think it! And woo-hoo free donuts!
That’s all well and good, but where is your math for gold eggs. if you get the colored eggs in the boxes which itself is of low probability then you won’t win the gold eggs.
Considering the fact that the stuff no one really wants like fences and umbrellas are recurring and of higher possibility I still think this event has the odds severely against our favor
You can’t really run the math for the gold eggs because it’s based on your tries in the other boxes. I can tell you this…you’ll get gold eggs about half the time. I ran a few tests to be sure of these. Out of 18 pink spins (blue dominate color, so pink had 300 Gold eggs) I landed on Gold Eggs 9 times. (which is enough for 5 tries)
Just give the game a week or 2 before you go into the doom and gloom mode over the odds 🙂 Just play and have fun!
