Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out!  This week’s post comes to us from a true Addict, Tapper pkkao.  It’s a humorous take on the Holiday Wheel and  the lengths one Tapper went just to clear that darn wheel!  Enjoy it my friends…I know I did!

A sadly true anecdote that I have to write.

It’s January 13, 10 PM. The Christmas update is about 8 hours away from ending, and my wheel looks cleared — except for the Snow Monster. Being the “freemium completest” (must have everything I can get without spending a penny), I could not live without the Snow Monster, even if I didn’t want that prize especially (ClausCo was the one I coveted the most).

 My spin token count is at a sad 0, and when I try to spin I get the dreaded message of “Out of Spin Tokens.” In 45 minutes, my Egg Nog Bar will produce a single spin token. All my hopes lied on that token to hit the improbable 5% chance of Snow Monster. Might as well wait an extra hour, right? It’s worth getting the snow monster, right? Continue reading →

I Didn’t Update Out of Christmas….

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So how many of you have actually updated to the Christmas removal of TSTO today?  How many of you are still waiting until it forces you to do so so that you can collect every last Gift Card and free prize you can?  If you’re in the second category this post is for you!

Here’s the deal….normally friend requests are to only go on our Add Neighboreenos page HOWEVER we’re going to make a LIMITED TIME exception.  If you’re a Tapper who did not update out of Christmas because you’re hoping to collect the last xxx gift cards you need for the Personal Prizes OR you’re a Tapper who didn’t update out of Christmas to help your neighbors earn the prizes then Add your Origin name to the comments below.  And ONLY those Tappers that haven’t update out of Christmas please. This post is designed to help those looking to collect the last bit of Gift Cards to get them, and if you’ve already updated your game today you’ll be of no use to them.  Once you have a newer version of TSTO your neighbors with the older version can’t visit you….so you won’t help them earn more gift cards.

Hopefully, this helps all Tappers earn the last little bit until you’re forced (and you will at one point be forced) to update your game.

Tapped Out on Christmas: What to Tap Now? 2D/3D Part 2

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Back with another edition of Tapped Out on Christmas!  I’ve been noticing more and more in the comments many tappers asking what’s next?  You’ve completed the Gift Card prizes (although if you haven’t…don’t panic you still have plenty of time…until next Tuesday (the 14th) to be exact), won all of the wheel prizes (again if you haven’t don’t panic…or feel one of the F words…you still have plenty of time) and you have no clue what to do until the next update.

And now we’ve gotten word that the Christmas Event has been EXTENDED another week!  What’s an Addicted Tapper to do?

Should you still be tapping Neighbor-eeno’s houses with Gift Cards?  Should you still be dropping gift bags?  Should you still be tapping your own presents?  Well over the next couple of days we’re going to take a look at things you can do to prevent yourself from becoming Tapped Out on Christmas and still keep your head in the game.

Woo hoo! We did it! Community Prize #5!!!

Hello hello hello! So excited right now to announce that we have finally reached one billion, 200 million gift bags and unlocked the fifth Community Prize, the Candy Cane Cooling Towers!

Wow, what an event. 10 personal prizes, 5 extra prizes for the group and whatever we all were lucky enough to win on the wheel. Not too bad a haul in my opinion.

I’m still kind of in shock that that many bags have been given by the worldwide community. I know there are folks out there who will say the counter is all just an algorithm and not indicative of real gift giving, but to that I say Bah Humbug. Every community prize was a gift, right?  The Holidays are about togetherness and a little bit of magic so I’m sticking to all of us as a group dropping those bags like it was hot. Just for fun, I have kept track of how many bags I’ve given during the update and I’m currently at 1387. If you multiply that by 1 million tappers (a small amount of the real total), you can see it is completely possible.

Anywho… all that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme, right? What matters is we got a new skin for the cooling towers of our Nuclear Power Plant (It’s pronounced nu-cular lol). Provided you’re at Level 11 and have built them, you can now make them all festive.

Christmas Extended?!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a quick note to all of the Addicts out there…it looks like EA has heard your complaints about glitches, downed servers & Wheel of F…. troubles!  The Christmas Event has been extended by 1 week!  The new end date is January 14th!

So you now have an extra 7 days to reach all of your personal prizes AND 7 extra days to scream in frustration at the Wheel!
