It was a busy week here and looks like next week will be even busier! Mark your calendars Addicts….Sunday September 29th is the Season Premiere of the Simpsons and Tuesday October 1st will be the Halloween Event update! Addicts will have you covered every step of the way! We’ve got some new, fun things planned for the site so keep checking us out!
The Season Premiere of the Simpsons is coming THIS Sunday on Fox and to celebrate the start of the 25th year EA has given us a mini update. With the episode tie in update comes the Hi-Glow Waste Barrels, a limited-time premium decoration for your Springfield! Now I’m sure you’re asking yourself, ‘Should I spend donuts on this?’ Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the Hi-Glow Waste Barrels and if they’re worth your donuts:
Decoration: Hi-Glow Waste Barrels Donut Price: 40 Donuts Unique?: No Bonus: 2% Bonus % Per Donut Spent: 0.05% Conform-O-Meter Points: Vanity +400 Where Can I Place It?: On the main (grass or pavement) sections of Springfield only. (No Squidport or beach)
Final Thought: At 40 donuts and a 2% bonus, it’s certainly not the worst investment you can make. While I have added them to my Springfield I do think the Hi-Glow Waste Barrels are a large & somewhat weird addition to TSTO. Although it makes perfect sense, since the town was blown up and all, but it’s just a weird object to try and place, at least in my opinion. Normally this is something I’d say pass on, since the concept of the decoration itself isn’t that great and for the donuts paid/bonus % awarded there are better items you can spend your donuts on that will make a little more sense in your town. However…this is a LIMITED TIME item. Once it’s gone it’s gone and you can never purchase it again, so be sure to take that into consideration when making your decision.
What do you think? Will you be picking up your Hi-Glow Waste Barrels before they’re gone? Let us know in the comments below.
Well Tappers the Season 25 update has arrived! EA was a little sneaky this time and had the update out in the wee early hours of the morning! However, as true Addicts, we don’t sleep! So Bunny was all over the update as soon as it was out with the complete walkthrough and introduction of the 2 new limited-time items. You can check that out here. But now let’s take a minute and see how the two new items will impact your Conform-O-Meter rating.
Hope you all enjoyed your Monday. I know there has been some buzz in the Tapped Out world today about the Halloween update with the mini “Feeding the Trolls” update (Wookiee was all over this update today, you can check their posts out here). The “Feeding the Trolls” update brought along a game files update. I’ve taken a peek at the game files and while their are no spoilers or hints about the Halloween update just yet, some info has been introduced about the Season Premiere Tie-in!
It looks like this Thursday (EA’s favorite update day), September 26th, Tappers will be seeing the Season 25 update. The update will include 2 new items that, I’m presuming, connect to the upcoming “Homerland” episode (airing this Sunday on FOX in the US). 1 of the items will be FREE, and it’s a decoration for your Squidport, and the other item (non-unique, so you can buy as many as your tapping finger desires…while supplies last of course!) will set you back 40 donuts. The free Squidport decoration will unlock at the end of the Special episode tie-in quest!
Of course as soon as the updates hit the Addicts team will have you covered with all of the details you’ll need to know! So mark your calendars this Thursday the Season 25 Premiere Episode tie-in update will happen and next Tuesday, according to the “Feed the Trolls” update, the Halloween event will begin!
Hi everyone! I know our friends at Topix posted about this same topic (although slightly different) last week and I guess great minds do think alike! Nick had sent us this post early last week and we decided to hold off on posting it until today (since the season premiere, in the US, is a week away). Hope you all enjoy his take on the Season 25 premiere and possible tie-in items!
Hello Fellow Addicts!
As an avid Simpsons Fanatic since I was, well, Bart’s age I look forward to September every year & no not because I enjoy school! September means 2 things to me 1) Football is back & 2) The Simpsons return! How can you not love a Sunday where your day starts with Football games & ends with The Simpsons?!
So, it looks as though the first episode (airs September 29th) of The Simpsons quarter-century season will be a parody of ‘Homeland’, and Kristen Wigg will be guest starring, as an FBI Agent (Annie)! From the previews I’ve seen it looks like it’s going to be a great episode. Take a look:
But this is a blog about Tapped-Out & not just The Simpsons, so I’ve been thinking of some possible episode tie-in items that could be added to TSTO and here’s what I’ve come up with: Continue reading →
