Friday Filler – Thank Grog It’s…Wait…What Day Is It?

Posted on April 17, 2020 by Patric | 14 comments

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

I don’t know about you, but recent events have definitely put the “Grog” in my Firday!

I have to admit…never in a zillion years would I have thought that Reality actually makes the dialogue in our silly game seem tame, sober, and even a tad boring by comparison. Watching the news any night, is like turning on a “B-Rate Horror Film” in the middle, and then realizing that the chocolate covered raisins you bought at the snack bar, aren’t chocolate covered at all. I’ll let your imagination fill in the blanks.

Here in Lane County, Oregon…the home of the REAL SPRINGFIELD, we are in a weird bubble that we hope stays in place…but all continue to be touched in real time by the insanity of other parts of the country. We are distracted by the fact that we probably don’t really even NEED distracting. Which is weird…knowing that my East Coast family and friends are suffering in an entirely different reality.

It makes writing about a silly mobile game seem almost sinful. But, I know my “duty” here is to distract… So, I will do my best to do so.

Simpsons Wrestling: Turbo Tappin’ Act 2, The Springfield Flimflam

Posted on April 17, 2020 by Alissa | 28 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Round 2 of Simpsons Wrestling is upon us!

As we’ve send previously, the Simpsons Wrestling Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 2 we’re tasked with collecting folding chairs! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the second part of the story, Aristotle backstabbing Burns (no shocker there!). So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 2 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for The Springfield Flimflam…

Simpsons Wrestling Act 2 Is Live!

Posted on April 17, 2020 by Alissa | 23 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s officially 10am here on the East Coast, and that means Act 2 of the Simpsons Wrestling is live in Springfield!

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Brockman and the Wrestlers…

Kent Brockman: With the undercards complete, it’s time for the main event: SEW’s Iron Yuppie vs. Springfield’s own… Captain Flag!
Iron Yuppie: I’m going to burn that American Flag!
Captain Flag: That’s “Captain” Flag to you, hippie!
Kent Brockman: The two men are grappling… ooo, there’s a Powerbomb… a Camel Clutch… and a Brainbuster…! As expected, Captain Flag is putting the finishing touches on the villainous Masked Yuppie — but wait…
Burns: What’s happening?! No-no-no-NOOOOOOOOO!

This triggers the Act 2 questline, The Springfield Flimflam, and is followed by 4hr tasks for Captain Flag and Burns, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (225). The Springfield Flimflam is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Act 2 prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 2…

Simpsons Wrestling Act 2 Starts Tomorrow

Posted on April 16, 2020 by Alissa | 34 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow morning, Friday, April 17th, Act 2 of the Simpsons Wrestling Event will be starting. The official start time is 10am ET.

The Act 1 questline won’t be going anywhere, so if you haven’t finished the prizes you’ll have a chance to complete it even after Act 2 starts.

Also, here’s some inside info to help you prepare for Act 2 to start…

During Act 2 The Springfield Elite Wrestlers become arrogant bullies and take over the town. Of course, you’ll have to follow along with the dialogue to find out what happens, but the same characters used for Act 1 currency tasks should be used for the Act 2 currency tasks, including a brand new one for Act 2! So we’re looking at:
Homer
Marge
Bart
Lisa
Grampa
Burns
Smithers
Moe
Prof. Werner von Brawn (Premium)
New Premium Character for Act 2

You’ll also need Captain Flag and Burns free for the initial questline objective…

There will also be one new premium character combo introduced during Act 2, and that character will be able to help with the currency earning for Act 2. (150 donuts will be needed if you’d like to purchase the combo)

And that’s it my friends! Be prepared for Act 2 to start up tomorrow morning!

Thoughts on Act 1? Ready for Act 2? Excited to see where the story goes? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Update time in Springfield! We’re all getting antsy sitting at home, so it’s nice to have an update to focus on! What’s in store for us this time? Well, it’s time for Burns and Aristotle Amadopolis to have yet another clash of tapping proportions! Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Server Issues (4/15/20)

Posted on April 15, 2020 by Alissa | 47 comments

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Seeing more and more comments popup about Server Issues. I have my suspicions about this but I want to do a little poll to see if I’m right.

Also, I occasionally have a connection issue (Bart Screen of Death). When this happens to me…I hard/force close the game and restart it. This means I go into open applications and force close TSTO. If you don’t know how to do this on your device here’s a few links: Apple, Android, and Amazon.
Note: The Android stuff is general for all Android devices. To get help for your specific advice do an internet search “How to Force Close an App On ____” and fill in with your specific device.

Also, another note. If you’re still having issues you can always Contact EA. And here’s the quick link do that: Contact EA Directly

Also, here’s the current EA Outage Map…looking at this you can kind of see where my suspicion lies for the outages.

Also…

We're currently looking into the issues affecting our services. If you can't play online, access Origin or EA Help, we're on it.

— EA Help (@EAHelp) April 15, 2020

The issues impacting EA Help, AHQ, Origin and connectivity across all titles are now resolved. Thank you for your patience.

— EA Help (@EAHelp) April 15, 2020

Anyway, if you’re having connectivity issues please take a moment do to the poll below:

Here’s the direct link if you’re having trouble seeing it on this post.

Here’s hoping you’re tapping soon!
