Update 9/29/2016….Since the writing of this post there have been LOADS of ways to add free donuts to your game from within the game. Here are some quick ways to add them, with the breakdowns of how:

–Where’s Maggie Game, Maggie will unlock for you at Level 26 with the Play-Annoyed Grunt questline. You’ll have a shot at 1,2 or 3 free donuts after you find Maggie 3 times. Game resets every 16hrs.
–Daily Challenges. Each day you’ll be given a challenge to complete, frequently these challenges award free donuts!
–Rail Yard. The Monorail will unlock for you once you’ve reached Level 20. Each week at the Monorail you’ll be able to earn tracks and other prizes..and the fifth prize (with the exception of a couple of times) will award free donuts! (typically five free donuts. But some of the initial rounds will award 20 free donuts)
–XP/Donut Farming. This is a method of building/placing some items in your game to build up your XP quickly and level up rapidly. Each time you level up you’ll be awarded at least 1 free donut! This method usually involves turning on the XP Collider.
–Friend Visits. After you’ve unlocked all of the social prizes there’s a chance to earn donuts from tapping in a neighbor’s town.
-There’s also often opportunities to earn free donuts during various events.
-Oh and one thing I forgot to mention in the post below is the 10 free donuts from the Easter Egg in the Jeb StatueEaster Egg in the Jeb Statue…
“There’s got to be a way to get free donuts!” Well, unfortunately, because the fried deliciousness treat is the premium content for the game (i.e. the only thing in the game that costs real world cash money) freebies don’t come easy. And anyone who tells you they can get you donuts for free (or discounted) is most likely using a hacked version of the game…
-First and foremost sign up for an origin account…you get 2 FREE donuts just for creating an account.
-The best way to get donuts is by leveling up in the game. So far every level increase comes with a bit of sarcastic humor and free donuts. From levels 1-7 you receive a 1 donut bonus for leveling up and once you hit level 8 2 donut bonuses for leveling up start to appear but you don’t get 2 donuts for every level.
Here’s the breakdown (as of the Krustyland Update, levels 1-32):
Levels 1-7, 9-10, 12, 14-16, 18-19, 21-23, 25-26, 28-30 & 32 all have a 1 donut bonus for leveling up
Levels 8, 11, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 & 31 all have a 2 donut bonus for leveling up.
So that’s 40 donuts right there, just for leveling up! That’s pretty easy right?
-There is also a 3 donut bonus once you complete all of the level 30 quests, a little present from EA since the level 30 update was not exactly their best.
-If you haven’t already done so, do the Jebediah Springfield Statue bonus (see the “I saw _______ in my neighbor’s town, but I can’t figure out how to add it to mine” post for details in how to complete it). That little trick comes with 10 free donuts, plus you get a free statue of Jebediah Springfield for your town!
So we’re at a total of 55 donuts guaranteed in this game, JUST FOR PLAYING, not too bad.
There are some other ways to get donuts in this game, but the quantities are not guaranteed:
-You usually find a few donuts when you clean up your Springfield. Personally, I’ve found a total of 8 donuts while doing this but it does take a while.
-Sometimes EA will run a promotion that comes with free donuts (they did this at Christmas and Halloween). So be on the lookout for those!
-In Krustyland you earn 5 donuts for every 299 games of Sideshow You that you play…playing this game perfectly every 8 hours would result in 5 donuts every 100 days.
-Bonus Level Up, between 1-3 donuts. Bonus level appears when you’ve maxed out available levels and you continue to fill you XP bar. More details on this later.
Aside from going behind a bakery when they close to dig out the donuts that have been trashed for the day, those are all the, non-hacked, free ways (that I know of) to get donuts.
Once I got 30 donuts from the mystery box, but then my wifi disconnected. When I loaded the game again, the mystery box gave me a parking lot 🙁 it was the worst thing ever to be teased like that!

Friend Points aka FP are obtained by visiting neighbors towns and tapping on their buildings. This may help, it was written when the FP first hit our games.

Right now the top prize and MAX level is 14. Once you hit that, your collection of $$$ & XP will triple while tapping on neighbors items. It also then gives you the chance to get random Free Donut pop up too.
Oh is it only random? I was gonna ask the frequency of it. Used to get it maybe two or three times cycling through my friends, now only once every couple days…

well, i´ve been playing this game for almost two years now, and i actually don´t buy donuts, i play the game for free; my point is that to this point i´ve been able to buy otto and dr frink without paying a dollar, my tips would be: leveling up gives you some donuts, sometimes when you buy extra land and clean it, it gives you donuts, some events give you donuts, and finally when you catch up with the max level of the game, in the xp bar there´s a gift icon, when you reach it, instead of leveling up it gives a chance of getting donuts, it depends on your luck, you can get 1, 2 or 3 donuts, but you need to save like 150,000 in case you dont get the 3 donuts at the first or second chance
I have been playing for the last two years nearly everyday and still did not get any single doughnut from the mystery box. It’s kind of frustrating, so far only got white fences and a burning bush. I get 1-2 doughnut everyday from visits though.
The mystery box donuts are very rare. I wouldn’t be too bothered by it.
Most of the time you only get donuts if you already unlocked a premium character. If you’ve already unlocked Squeaky Voiced Teen and would unlock him again, they give you thirty donuts instead. (Same thing with any other premium building you can only get one of and with the Homer Buddha.)
Since I maxed out. In may I have always gotten donuts for visiting friends. It may require that you also have all friend prizes.as well but I get two someday and none on others. I’m not sure. What triggers it but it has allowed me to buy multiple premium characters since.
You can also get free donuts by visiting your friends’ towns. I’ve got 100 friends and I get about 1 donut per day.
I got twice 30 donuts from mystery box, several from special events, easter eggs and so on. All together more then 400!!!

I clicked on the Simpsons house and it came up with something saying that there was some unexplained carp (I quote) in the attic amongst the usual garbage. It came up with three options, I chose one and got 10 free donuts !

Second…are you speeding up the taxes? So they collect faster. That would speed up the task and take away donuts.

I have been getting on average 2 doughnuts a day from visiting my friends Springfield. Takes a while to go through every town but its rare not to get at least one doughnut. I am maxed out on friendship points.
I have a question. In two of my neighbors Springfields they have two different Jebediah Springfield statues. How did they get two?
One is the free one anyone can get from tapping Homer 10 times & the other is from Whacking Day 2013. It’s a statue of Jebediah whacking a snake 🙂

Anyone offering you donuts OUTSIDE of the the game itself is not a legit way to do things. Only way to get donuts, and not violate EA’s terms (and risk losing your game) is to purchase them in the game itself 🙂

Just letting you guys know I just received 10 donuts from a mystery box that was offered to me as the “5th Consecutive Day” reward. I’m new to the game so I’m not sure if it’s common, but it sure feels like I scored!

What’s the probability of finding a donut from tapping a friend’s building once you’re on the highest friend level?
Random. There is nothing that really confirms the probability.
Hmm does that mean you can’t find it in the files? Have people recorded their stats to determine roughly how often they find one?
It is like .02% but even then, it is so hard to figure out when or how many will hit. Some days none, some days 1, some days 5. Just keep tapping and see what you get. It is so random. Honestly.

As mentioned above, you occasionally get one when tapping on friends’ buildings. I have around 60 friends and get roughly one per round of tapping; the most I made was three.
It seems to be more common with a maxed out FP metre but I can’t say for sure if it makes a difference.

This needs to be really stressed I’ve slacked on visiting my friends and never made it to max fp. Been playing for over a year (was a year in march) and just now finally have gotten enough doughnuts for my first premium building barneys bow-a-rama (bought due to having an outfit for him already) bout time tapped out took some hints from c.o.c. who gives out a guaranteed free 25 gems a week with multiple random chances a day. Might want to mention this in the doughnuts section in beginners just saying. Thanks for all you do and keeping me involved in this game! (I think)

Not quite sure what it is you are looking for. Can you be a lil more specific? Are you looking to compliment a friend? Like our Thank You post? Are you looking for a specific item that you are curious what event it came from? Or are you looking to see how people decorated/designed with certain items like in our Showoff posts?

You dont. That’s called Hacking and cheating. It’s against EA’s policy and they will terminate your game if caught. We do not endorse this in any way shape or form.
For the jebidia statue and 10 donuts, you have to tap homer ten times quickly. Leave it in the task bar when you do it though.
I did the Homer/Jedediah tap and it came up with him and the donuts, but the game crashed and now I’ve lost them :-/

On the Sideshow YOU game, yes. It has not happened to me personally, I really forgot to visit Krustyland since I completed it, but it has happened to others. 🙂
I’ve popped balloons more or less every day since Krustyland showed up – appeals to the child in me, I guess – but I’ve not seen any 299-popped-reward in the form of donuts. I’ve won donuts from balloons, twice I think, and I guess that’s why I keep popping them 🙂 mmm…donuts…

You can very occasionally get a free donut by tapping when tasks are finished or buildings are ready to pay rent, similar to what was happening during halloween (same effect too, Homer says “Mmm…premium currency”).
I received three free donuts once by popping balloons in Krustyland. I was so surprised when this happened that I thought all that pink stuff was cartoon character brains!
I was given donuts in mystery boxes during halloween, not sure if this ever happens at other times.
I saw the post said about the Jedediah statue quest and I am on my level 32 and I haven’t seem that quest yet is it for level 33???
It’s a hidden quest. Something you can unlock at any level 🙂
When Homer is on a quest… tap him 10 times in a row. Free statue… free donuts…. VOILA!

I have read about the one D means, apparently if you grow corn when it is ready to harvest if you tap Cletus 100 times you get 100 donuts not sure if it works though
Nope. Do not believe all the hype online. Just a waste of time. We already have disproved that rumor many moons ago. We will post items here that become useful to our readers AFTER we have thoroughly tested them ourselves and found them to be true. The ONLY “easter egg” in the game right now is the Jebediah Statue really.
