The First COG Addicts Post Ever…Whoddathunkit?

So…out of the blue yesterday, Alissa texts me with a “Look what I found…check your email.” These can either be fun and great news, or can be horrible “dear God…don’t look!” kinds of things. She was vague…saying it had something to do with my past. Again…at this age, that can be good (Wow! I found an old royalty check you didn’t know you had coming!), or (WOW! I can’t believe there is a picture of you doing THIS online!!!!).

As it turns out, it was neither. It was actually a copy of the first article I ever wrote for Addicts. As in…WAY before the “unpleasantness” (also known as Whacking Day), and way, way, way before the Monorail every showed up in our towns.

It was a hoot, and reminded me just how ridiculously simple this “Silly ‘Lil Game”(not copyrighted by Bunny) used to be…and that there were STILL people who whined about the downtime in the game.

You Might Be An Addict….

redneck

So way back before level 34 hit I had this idea for a post about being addicted to Tapped Out.  It all started on Tapped-Out.co.uk when one of my friends posted, “You know you’re addicted when you wake up in the middle of the night to go to bathroom and grab your phone because you’re thinking: ‘Well I’m up now so I might as well collect rents and grab tickets while I’m up.'” I thought it was so funny and so true and it got me thinking to what some other signs might be.  So I asked other members of Tapped-Out.co.uk to answer the question “you know you’re addicted to Tapped Out When…” Their answers, as I expected, cracked me up!  So similar to Jeff Foxworthy’s “You Might Be A Redneck…” series I’ve come up with the “You Might Be An Addict…” series, with a little help from my fellow Addicts of course!  So with out further ado I present to you….You Might Be An Addict:

Happy Weekend Tappers!

It’s been just over a week now since Level 34 hit our devices. Tappers who started right away should be just about finishing up the Chalmers quest line and tappers who started the quest a little bit late might be smack dab in the middle of the Level. Either way, if you’ve been busy tapping away this week here’s your chance to catch up on what you’ve might have missed here at Addicts!

-Last weekend Wookiee helped Tappers discover the lost ride at Krustyland, Krusty’s Broken Koaster Kars. You can check out how to make Krusty’s Kars in your Krustyland here.

-This past week Wookiee and Nick took a deeper look at a couple of the new decorations level 3 brought tappers, starting with Nick’s look at the World’s Largest Zircona and it’s connection to The Simpsons. Then Wookiee took a closer look at Chalmer’s _onda, the newest car to join the Tapped Out World!

-Alissa started to break down the basics of the Conform-o-meter in your Springfield. You can find the basics here and how many points you’ll need to max out the meter here.

-We also took a look at some issues you may be having with TSTO in Losing your Jebidiah Springfield Statue and your game resetting back to level one!

-EA made a couple of updates and announcements this week as well. They released a minor iOS update earlier this week and announced that all tappers should be creating a Origin ID, or risk losing your Springfield forever!

-This past week also brought new updates to our Walkthroughs page, focusing on Level 23 and Bumblebee Man. Of course if you missed any of our level 34 updates you can find them on our Walkthroughs page as well

-In his “Are You Ready For Some Football” Nick made the connection between The Simpsons and football, in anticipation of the start of the NFL football season here in the US.

-Nick also took us back in time to 1999 as he uncovered the history behind Tomacco!

-Bunny Nerded out on us this week, in her Nerd Alert post, going over the finer technical details of things like Blue Stacks and Jail Breaking!

-As always there was certainly no shortage of 2D and 3D posts this week. Bunny took a look at 2D vs 3D and Wookiee announced a Wookiee’s 2D Challenge (be sure to get your designs in by Monday night!)!

-Finally, Friday saw the first meeting of TSTO Anonymous with group leader Wookiee! And Wookiee also took a look at what the Halloween update might look like!

It has been a week here at Addicts, full of great posts filled with humor and packed with information! Here’s to the week ahead Tappers, and here’s hoping we’ll see a Halloween Event this week!

Happy Tapping Friends!

World’s Largest Zirconia and the Note

Hello Fellow Tapped Out Addicts!

Hope you’re all enjoying level 34 as much as I am! Today I wanted to take a little break from game play and take a look at the newest aspirational item in TSTO, the World’s Largest Zirconia.
aspirational
For a cool $5,000,000 tappers can add the latest aspirational item to their Springfield’s but why the Worlds Largest Zirconia? What does it have to do with The Simpsons? Was in shown in a previous episode? Continue reading

Level 34 is here and with it comes a new premium decoration, Robby The Automaton! Yesterday, Wookiee told us who Robby is and now I’m sure you’re asking “Should I Spend Donuts On This?” Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down Robby and see if this fella is worth your donuts:

Hi Tappers,

As promised I’m back with Part 2 of the Level 34 walkthrough!  If you missed the first part of our walkthrough you can find Part 1 here.
When we last left off Chalmers made his grand entrance into Springfield and was preparing to fire Skinner for the low science test scores at Springfield Elementary.  In an effort to save his job Skinner, with the help of Lisa, build the Knowledgeum.  We pick our walkthrough back up with the completion of the Knowledgeum and Lisa talking to Principal Skinner….

Tapped Out Premium Walkthrough: Level 34 Sherri & Terri Quest

sherri terri
Hi Tappers!

Well you asked for them, and EA provided them: Level 34 has (finally) brought us Sherri and Terri!  For 150 donuts they’re one of the more expensive premium characters, but their quest line is pretty amusing and involves, almost, all of the kids of Springfield!  If you’re wondering if you should Spend Donuts on Sherri and Terri check out Alissa’s post from yesterday.  For those who’ve already made the plunge into the world Sherri and Terri here’s the complete (with dialogue) Walkthrough….
