Hi Ghostbusters!
We’ve been getting several questions in the comment section about Gremlins and when to tap them in your town, if it hurts or helps your neighbors. So let’s go over some of the Gremlin basics!
When should you squash Gremlins in your town?
Well, that’s entirely up to you! If you let them run around your town for the full 4 hours your friends will earn 4 GOOs per Gremlin. However, if you squash them before the 4 hours are up you’ll each receive 2 GOOs.
My thought is when you squash them everyone wins! You get something out of it and so do your friends. Plus you can free up your town for more friends to drop Gremlins! More Gremlins=more GOO!
How many Gremlins can be in your town at once?
10 Gremlins are the max that are allowed in any one Springfield at a time. When you visit a friends town there will be a Gremlin counter in the top right corner of the screen. This tells you how many Gremlins you can still drop in their town.
If they have too many Gremlins in their town a pop-up will appear on your screen saying something like, this friend has too many Gremlins try again later. All you have to do is wait a little while to see if you can drop some I later, or try a different friend.
Do Gremlins steal my GOO or create new GOO?
The good news here is that, unlike another event that shall not be named, Gremlins don’t actually steal GOO. Instead they create new GOO. So the 4 GOO yielded from the Gremlins is new GOO and does NOT come off of your collected (or soon to be collected) GOO total!
How do I know how Gremlins I dropped in friends towns are doing?
Well after you’ve dropped Gremlins in another town, if they’ve survived or been whooped you’ll receive a notification the next time you return back to your town. A little pop-up window will appear on your screen telling you just how much GOO your little Gremlins were able to collect!

Does the grimblins if in case they managed to survive the 4 hours earn more goo if an another 4 hours passed on them without being squashed?
I released grimblins in my brother’s town and i know it has been more than 4 hours since i released them but only i gained 40 goos but i still see my grimblins running around caused he didnt squash them
They only survive 4 hrs. After 4 hrs the disappear. So the ones you see running around could be someone else’s. 🙂
My brother has only me as his friend so i doubt those grimblins are someone’s else
so what happens to the gremlins after 4 hours? do they continue to collect goo every 4 hours or are do they just wait around to get squashed?
They just disappear after 4 hours….

Why is my gremlins counter is at 17 when I received many more from daily play etc ?

Maybe the reason?
Be careful when playing. If you leave a town WITHOUT collecting the GOO container first, you will leave them behind. I am on an Android phone and this is happening to me. Sometimes it will collect. Others it won’t. Just watch and make sure this isn’t the issue.
Otherwise, if your count was at like…let’s say 400… and now only 17…then it is a glitch you need to report to EA right away.

The post says something about an event that actually steals goo? Which one is that. I don’t want to steal peoples stuff.
No it says you don’t steal their GOO, it produces new GOO. The Gremlins attract new GOO. Your neighbors count stays the same.
I was referring to “unlike other events…” and was asking if there is now an event where people do steal goo.
How do I put gremlins onto my friends towns
Check out our post http://tstoaddicts.com/2013/10/01/ghosts-gremlins-goo-oh-my/ in addition to the one above for details, but once your neighbor is collecting GOO you can place Gremlins by tapping on the Gremlin icon in the top right corner of your screen (When in your neighbors town). That will start placing Gremlins…if they haven’t maxed out of their allowance in the town at once.

what about placing gremlins in “other springfield”? i don’t have any friends
Unfortunately, with this event you cannot place Gremlins in the “other Springfield”. You’ll need friends if you want to place the Gremlins. You can find a whole bunch of tappers looking for neighbors on our Add Friends Page

How long does it take for gremlins to earn donuts and is it 4 each or 4 for all of them?
Gremlins don’t earn donuts, they earn GOO. If they last 4 hours in your friends town with out being squashed they’ll earn you 4 GOO canisters. BUT if your friend squashes them before the 4 hours are up you’ll each earn 2 GOO canisters. Donuts are earned randomly by tapping Ghosts, Haunted Buildings, Possessed characters, etc. We just did a post about it here:

Happened to me too! Just went through the full event walkthrough as well…a special BONUS donut opportunity as well! EA certainly left us a lot of treats this time around!
