It’s the 14th Where’s My Update???? (UPDATED…Again…and Again…last updated 1/15/14 9am EST)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers,

So we’ve been seeing quite a few questions in the comments this morning all pertaining to….WHERE’S THE NEW UPDATE?!! So I figured I’d take a few minutes to give you the skinny on the update/Christmas removal/Married to the Blob Episode Tie-In removal…whew not so skinny huh?

UPDATE 9:00AM EST 1/15/14: For those Tappers needing help with the “NOT MY TOWN” Glitch, Friend Management (iOS Devices) & those who did not update their device out of Christmas in hopes to get the last of the Christmas items…we now have 3 posts dedicated to those three things. Here’s where you can find them:

-If you’ve logged into TSTO after updating and realized “HEY THIS ISN’T MY TOWN! WHERE’S MY SPRINGFIELD?!!!!” Check out this Troubleshooting Post from Bunny (she’s wearing her nerdy glasses in this one!)

-If you’re playing on iOS and are noticing all the changes to adding friends, deleting friends & how Origin looks in TSTO now…check out this post for all the ins, outs and how-tos of managing Origin in iOS now.

-And finally…if you haven’t yet updated out of Christmas (in hopes to get those last few items) and are looking for friends to help you that also haven’t updated out of Christmas check out this post.

Hopefully that helps you all with the 3 biggest issues facing Tappers in the last 24 hours! OH and if you’ve looking for wheel spin advice and tips check out this post from our wonderful readers with methods that have worked for them!

UPDATE 1:30PM EST (although I forgot to hit update post until 2:20pm) : Ok tappers by now we all know the update has hit our devices but (for now) it’s Christmas/Snow removal. Should I Spend Donuts On the Swanky Fish?

With the new Premium items just added to our menu, it may be overwhelming trying to decide whether to buy them or to pass on them. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Swanky Fish to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this restaurant to your Springfield.
Building: Swanky Fish
Donut Price: 90 Donuts
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Gluttony +10
Earns: $200 and 22XP every 8hrs

Pros:
-A returning Limited-Time Item, but don’t be fooled. Just because it came back once doesn’t mean it will again.
-A new task unlocks for Comic Book Guy, Skinner & Brockman to Eat at the Swanky Fish…so it will be used.
-Not a bad size, can easily fit in Springfield.
-Characters earn at a premium rate when they’re using it.
-Protected building, so you can’t sell it by mistake.
-Will boost your Gluttony Rating on the Conform-O-Meter

Cons:
-When it was originally released a little mini quest unlocked with it, this time around there is no mini quest.
-No new characters come with the building and only 3 characters interact with it.

Final Thought:

Personally I’ve had the Swanky Fish in my town since it was first released last April. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in town because it’s pretty easy to decorate around. It also earns a decent rate and characters DO interact with it (which is more than I can say about the Museum of Natural History)…plus it’s LIMITED TIME. So if you’ve been coveting your neighboreenos Swanky Fish now’s your chance to get your very own!

WDTCF – Swanky Fish

Woo hoo! I’m so stoked that EA gave us an episode tie-in. Lots of cool Japanesey decorations and I couldn’t be more stoked. If you didn’t know, I lived six years of my life in Okinawa, Japan so anything having to do with their culture make me smile so much. Thanks EA!

For this WDTCF, I’d like to talk about the Swanky Fish. I love sushi and probably eat it at least once a month. When the Swanky Fish first became available for the “What Animated Women Want” promotional on April 8, 2013, I snatched it up right away. 90 donuts might be a bit but my town had to have a sushi restaurant.

I’m so thrilled it’s back! It’s not very hard to figure out where it comes from as it came with an episode tie-in but I thought it’d be fun to discuss Season 24, Episode 17 and show some pics. Go ahead and click if you agree. Continue reading →

WDTCF- Mr. Sparkle

FINALLY!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! A fluffy Bunny is VERY happy right now. Well, kinda. Lol. Something I have been wanting in the game for a while is now here.

We had a lil in game update that brought us a few new items to go along with the Episode tie in for “Married to the Blob”. It included a brand new “never seen before” character, Kamiko. The Swanky Fish was brought back from the past. But the item I was giggling about, MR. SPARKLE. Woohoo!

Yes it is just a simple billboard, but it still makes me happy. (I even did a 2D Mr. Sparkle a while back. Check it out.)

Hi everybody!

Wow… busy day, eh? Lots of words put out there today by myself and other bloggers. Amonst all the screenshots and commentaries, we got some great info about the Season 25 Episode 1 tie-in decorations. You can read Alissa’s take on them here.

With word of Three-Eyed Sushi for Squidport and Hi-Glow Waste Barrels (Nature Tested… EPA approved), hopefully I wasn’t alone when I went off to the web (JUST LIKE LISA) to see if I could find more info on these other than what the TSTO datafrakers could find. (spAndex has a great pic of these decs if your interested)

Seems these decorations are purely from the episode which hasn’t been released yet. Some creative folks have made images previously connecting Blinky with sushi so it’s not exactly “original”, but what ever is? I can tell you one thing though, my furry behind will be firmly planted in my wroshyr treehouse for the Season 25 premier to see these items and how they fit.
