A few new items went live in our games this morning…and you guys are clamoring for the info. So let’s get right to it and break down the quick details of the Platinum Scratchers, Hostess Miss. Springfield & Chippy!
Before I get into the post…first a note about Players Club points. This is REALLY important, so please pay attention. Players Club points () are NOT awarded until the item you unlock or purchase is placed (and built) in your Springfield. So if you won a prize that’s a building, you won’t unlock the associated points until you place it in your Springfield and it has been built. If you purchase a character, like Cat Hostess Miss. Springfield the points will not be awarded until Cat Hostess Miss. Springfield is unlocked in your town. So don’t freak out you didn’t get the points..check to see that the item is in your town and NOT in your inventory.
You giving your little tap tap tapping fingers a good work out with all this crazy dialogue in the latest Episode Tie-In for Yellow Badge of Cowardge? With all the craziness of the Frink Friendship Points…or lack there of..yesterday, I didn’t get a chance to post the complete e-tie-in walkthrough for my favorite Addicted Tappers! So you know what they say…there’s no time like the present so let’s get to walking shall we?
As mentioned in the update rundown post Milhouse kicks things off in his quest to not finish last at field day….so let’s see just what this Fit™ thing is all about shall we?
Well Christmas is almost over in Springfield (it’s about time right?!). Once it’s gone tomorrow (January 14th), the option to buy many of the Christmas décor will be gone! Poof just like that! The Grumple will steal them away and they’ll disappear into the night never to be able to be purchased again…unless of course EA decides to bring them back next year for Christmas.
With the new Premium items just added to our menu, it may be overwhelming trying to decide whether to buy them or to pass on them. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Swanky Fish to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this restaurant to your Springfield. Building: Swanky Fish Donut Price: 90 Donuts Conform-O-Meter Impact: Gluttony +10 Earns: $200 and 22XP every 8hrs
Pros: -A returning Limited-Time Item, but don’t be fooled. Just because it came back once doesn’t mean it will again.
-A new task unlocks for Comic Book Guy, Skinner & Brockman to Eat at the Swanky Fish…so it will be used.
-Not a bad size, can easily fit in Springfield.
-Characters earn at a premium rate when they’re using it.
-Protected building, so you can’t sell it by mistake.
-Will boost your Gluttony Rating on the Conform-O-Meter
Cons: -When it was originally released a little mini quest unlocked with it, this time around there is no mini quest.
-No new characters come with the building and only 3 characters interact with it.
Personally I’ve had the Swanky Fish in my town since it was first released last April. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in town because it’s pretty easy to decorate around. It also earns a decent rate and characters DO interact with it (which is more than I can say about the Museum of Natural History)…plus it’s LIMITED TIME. So if you’ve been coveting your neighboreenos Swanky Fish now’s your chance to get your very own!
Now a days, every town has to have that MAJOR high end mall type store. The one that is full of anything and everything you need. And if you don’t think you need it, they will make sure you leave thinking you did. Lol.
The store is very reminiscent of the Macy’s & Gimble’s type places from “Miracle on 34th Street”. It is located in Downtown Springfield, Hosts the towns Thanksgiving Day Parades, and has many familiar employees…like Gil and the Yes Guy. The owner, well you never know what to quite make of him. At one moment he seems so kind, at others…a very grumpy old man.
So what store is this? Who is the owner? Well, the title should have given you a clue. It is Costington’s. So without further ado, I will break down the origin of Costington’s, Mr. Costington, and just where they came from in the Simpsons TV World.
A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E…. the applause,applause applause….
Man… sitting at home and the teenager wanted to watch the Lady Gaga & the Muppets Holiday Special and this frakkin song is stuck in my head. Arrrrgggggh… Muppets so good and Gaga so strange. If she wasn’t a cameo performer in The Simpsons, I might be angry. Gotta… do… something…. to make…brain demons… go silent… must… find… people as weird as me…. ok, over to tapped-out.co.uk. Besides all you awesome tapaholics here, this is my other tapped out community where I go to be the addict that I am. It is basically like the Facebook for TSTO. I have met sooooo many interesting and cool folks over there.
Anywho, this post isn’t a complete plug for those folks but it’s more of a segway into the really cool “TSTO Tip” for all my Android peeps. (I really hate putting two of those words together but couldn’t think of a better way to describe it.) As an ioS player, I take it for granted that neighboreeno management is so easy on my device. Over and over I have heard that it sucks that Droid users can’t easily delete neighbors unless they use the Origin program.
Well, breaking news my friends! One of my good buds over at tapped-out (you rock Chris J.) discovered a way for Android users to be able to delete folks within their devices and passed the info to me to break here for all you Addicts! Of all the places to find this… it’s in Scrabble. Continue reading “THIS IS THE DROID (TIP FOR TSTO) YOU”RE LOOKING FOR”→
Hey Howdy Hey Ghostbuste..er I mean Gift Grabbers!
Snow has arrived in Springfield & is it just me or is anyone else have Déjà vu? Christmas looks a lot like Halloween (sort of). Instead of the creepy mist, Ghosts, Gremlins and GOO, Christmas brings us snow, gift boxes, gift bags and gift cards (Geez..what’s with all the G words EA?!) Confused yet? Don’t be…as always the Addicts team is here to help! We’ve got you covered, so that plus the 4 weeks you have to play the update should help you achieve all of the goals! Let’s get right to it by breaking down the “game inside the game”.
If we were Ghostbusters at Halloween we’re Gift Grabbers for Christmas, because that’s what EA is asking you to do here. The object is to “grab” (tap) gifts in your town to collect Gift Cards and other goodies. Gift Cards are the new in-game currency for special Christmas items. Occasionally a Gift Box will spill out a Gift Bag or a Spin Coin when you tap them. Gift Bags are collected to put into your friend’s towns, they’ll help you earn more Gift Cards. Confused yet? Don’t be…let’s break it all down step by step Continue reading “The Gift of EA: The Run Down On Gift Cards, Gift Bags & Prizes”→
Well Halloween is almost over in Springfield. Once it’s gone on November 7th, the option to buy many of the Halloween décor will be gone! Poof just like that! They’ll disappear into the night never to be able to be purchased again…unless of course EA decides to bring them back next year for Halloween.
