Christmas has arrived in Springfield! But, with all of the new Christmas premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Santa Village to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this village to your Springfield.
Character & Building: Santa Village & Homer Santa Skin
Donut Price: 200 Donuts (ouch!)
Pros:
-Comes with Santa Homer, another skin for Homer, and earns a premium rate on all his tasks
-The Village will earn you $300 & 30xp every 24hours
-Many great outside tasks, including Homer Flying Santa’s Sleigh around your town (ala Arnie Pye & his helicopter)
-Makes a great addition to a Christmas area in your Springfield, along with Claus Co, Santa’s Workshop etc.
-Homer is Santa!
Cons:
-Although the Santa Village originally unlocked a quest for Homer Santa (last Christmas) this time around there are no additional quests with the Village.
-A costly premium item. At 200 donuts it’s the most expensive premium addition to this year’s update (and one of the most expensive in the game).
-Only Homer Santa has interaction with the Santa Village, and it’s only 1 task. No other characters interact with it.
-No Animation
-No conform-o-meter points for it
Final Thought:
Personally I purchased the Santa Village. It was something I wished I had from last year, but never got. I enjoy the Santa Homer tasks. It’s a great fit with Christmas town, but it is an expensive addition. For something that offers no real practicality for your Springfield it may be something you want o pass on, at those prices!
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME item and once it’s gone, it’s gone…so be sure to get it before the event is over if you’re thinking about it.
Santa Homer’s Tasks:
Task | Task Length |
Payout |
Break in for Milk and Cookies | 1hr | $105,26xp |
Get Stuck in the Chimney | 4hrs | $260, 70xp |
Do the Rounds | 6hrs | $350, 90xp |
Do Santa Training | 8hrs | $420, 105xp |
Endure the Whiney Kids | 12hrs | $600, 150xp |
Fly Santa’s Sleigh | 24hrs | $1,000, 225xp |

I won both Santa’s village and Santa’s Little Helper, but BOTH came without a questline. Is that correct?
Would this combo for 40 donuts be worth grabbing? I already have Ned’s Santa skin. Leaning on grabbing it, homer skin (with reindeer animation) and building… Pretty good for 40, no?
Great Deal. I gobbled it up the minute it went live…
I bought Santa homer a couple years back, but all its tasks are freemuim??
Yup. That’s how it’s been forever…
OMG This PLUS Flander’s Santa’s suit is now 80 donuts in store! Yayyy!! Just had to wait 3 years so I could afford it lol
So Santa Village is back this year. Is it worth buying or not (yet)?
It’s not a bad building. The should I buy option on it won’t change from this one. If you think it’s worth it after reading this post then I say go for it! 🙂
I never received my second community prize? I got the not about receiving santas workshop but was never put in my inventory! Why can I do?
I would suggest trying some basic troubleshooting to see if that resolves it. If it does not, I would suggest to contact EA to see if they can resolve it.
