Yes I know these are glitch pics before the game kicks you off but I like to think of them as Homie reaching out from the other side. Are you there Homer?????

Ever wonder just exactly where that Steampunk/ Victorian UFO came from. What exactly it has to do with Halloween and the Simpsons? Well I am here with another edition of, “Where Did THAT Come From” (oooh lookie at me making new titles and all.)
Shhhh…come a lil closer…closer…TOO CLOSE!!! BACK UP A LIL! Sheesh. So, I have a lil secret I wanna share. Did you know as you are tapping your 5 ghosts in your neighbors town that you can get MORE than five. You did??!! Who told you??! WHO?! That lil…fine then. So much for my lil secret. Now what am I supposed to write about?
I guess I will just show you MY pics of me getting 7 & 8 (YES 8! I thought you said you knew…liars.) It takes a lil patience to wait til you get three or more all in REALLY close proximity. Get your itchy tappin finger ready…AND TAP LIKE A MAD WOMAN…or man. WOOHOO!!! Extra Goo! Let me know if any of you were successful in this too.

UPDATE:
Looks like EA has disabled this ability with the new updates they sent out the last few days. Some are still able to, for the moment. Mine just changed now, even though I was one of first to get update. So…no more double tapping ghosts. Well, at least it was a fun treat while it lasted.

Not sure where you are in the Halloween Event? Stressing out you’re not gonna make it? Well no worries. It seems as long as you are averaging 300 daily, you should be on target for all the prizes and goodies. But I know you are STILL gonna worry…so here is a little calendar to help you out. Stay ahead and at the end, you will be able to hit those bonus rounds to have a chance of FREE DONUTS!!!

(I set it to go until the 6th due to you never know what time they will actually shut it all down on the 7th. Better to play it safe.)

Now people wonder why they should continue beyond the 10,000 Goo. Two words…FREE DONUTS!!The Spooktacular Bonus. It works the same way as the XP bonus levels in that once you hit that extra 2000 Goo, you can pick from 3 boxes containing 1-3 donuts. Keep some extra cash for this. In case you don’t get 3 right away, you can spend $50,000 on each extra box and keep trying until you get 3 donuts. Pretty good deal to me. 🙂
You will also notice a new icon on your task book menu. A Halloween Candy. This is just there to show you are now collecting extra Goo beyond that 2000.
To the Hominid Readers of Addicts,
King Snorky here. Over the last month, a certain “Star Wars Fan” who calls himself “The Wookiee” has been blabbering away about my introduction into some sort of game called “The Simpsons Tapped Out”. As a peaceable sort of fellow, I let this galoof run his silly mouth and even had myself a chuckle at his meager attempt to immortalize me using strange objects. Although I don’t get using garbage bins to replicate my majesty, at least the poor brute tried.
So here we are (in the USA anyway) on Saturday morning. You been up all night tapping and Goo collecting? Thought so. Well, just to make sure you are on track for the prize at the end…try to collect 350-400 Goo canisters a day. You should be up to about 1500-1600 by the end of today in order to stay on track for all 10 prizes. Grab a cup of “Joe” and rest that weary lil finger a bit for the last and final prize item for the Attic.
Oooooh a HAT in one of my popped ghosts (although I have been liking donuts more)! Weeeeee. No? Not much excitement? Too sleepy? Just get on with it? FINE! PICS AWAY!!
So watch the new Treehouse of Horror episode tomorrow and come back here for information on the “special prize”.

Wookiee here back with our regular TSTO Anonymous meeting and just in the nick of time based on some comments I saw.

Wowza, what a week to discuss our addiction. October 1st gave us the highly anticipated Halloween Event and what and EVENT it has turned out to be.
Possessed Characters
Gremlins, ghosts and GOO (Oh my!)
A new look to the town and decorations
The return of last year’s premium buildings, decorations and skins
The return of some of last year’s zombies
SOCIALISM!
D’oh! Wrong word (now that’s scary). What I meant was a new social aspect to the game which makes all the previous ones seem as dumb as whacking snakes. Who’d want to do that?
So much new stuff to play with… so few hours in a day. What do you mean there’s 24? Don’t you know this is Wookiee Hibernation Season? I mean, I know I have A LOT of free time to do “stuff”, but even my loved ones are noticing my absence.
I tried to tell them they don’t see it from my Perspective, but the truth is they probably never will unless they play the game too. I have never been “addicted” to a game platform before TSTO. Always kinda teased on those addicted to their consoles or computer games (WOW, any one?). Now I get it. EA has found my drug of choice and I’m loving it. Apologies to any one I ever teased btw.
If you’re feeling misunderstood like me (stupid 14 year old won’t visit her town and then complains about missing the sushi cart, WHY YOU LITTLE!), the easiest fix is to find like minded souls.

How do you do this? EASY! Here’s a couple ideas:

Use the fourth…. Go to www.tapped-out.co.uk. Please note that since the Halloween Update, the site has had possession issue of its own so it may be a couple days before it is back in action and running like it used to. Most of the authors here frequent that site too!
Lastly, (Dare I say it?) share an e-mail address with another tapper and maybe actually form a “friendship”. I am so blessed to talk to the other authors of Addicts on a daily basis AND sometimes we actually chat about non-simpsons stuff (GASP! The horror…. The horror).

Hopefully everyone is going to get a little more social this Halloween season. Nothing like some SPOOKY stuff to get people closer together. No one else understands addiction like an Addict. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even find a sponsor?

So I decided to put in my two cents on one of the new Premium items for the game, the Ghost Zapper.
In all honesty…I would pass on this on. Why don’t I like this item? I really find no value in it. None at all. The only thing I remotely like is the animation, that’s it. EA missed out by not making this an automatic Zapper. You know, like those lovely lights by the trailer zapping a million “skeeters” a minute. The item is on a 4×5 plot. The cost is, gulp, 60 donuts. It does look cool .
So basically this is what happens. YOU have to wait in your town for the ghosts to come round the Zapper. Then YOU have to tap the Zapper. Once tapped it “charges up”. You see the bulb at the top and the rings leading up to it start to light up. When fully charged, a circle of light emits out in a ring and spans out until it disappears. Any ghosts caught in this area are popped. This lasts only a second. From what I saw…the radius didn’t seem to go that far. I still had ghosts nearby I thought for sure it would get.
That’s it. Done. Nothing more. I guess if you have a TON of ghosts in your town and don’t want to injure your lil tapping finger, then maybe it is beneficial. Maybe. It seems more an elitist “I gotta have everything” item. I think it is a “Lazy Man’s Zapper.” Lol 😛
Well. That’s bout it. Just a thought in my head. Up to you to decide if you want to spend those precious donuts on it.
