Hey Howdy Hey Gift Grabbers!
Looks like we just got hit with a minor in-game update. My guess is it’s a glitch fix for the complaints outlined in Bunny’s Post here but I have no true way of verifying this via our own games. Currently all of the TSTO Games run by the Addicts staff are not experiencing the glitch. So we need your help! If you’ve experienced the “zero gift dropping glitch” in your town, let us know in the comments below if this update has corrected the issue for you.
We know Bunny has magical powers with all things at EA, but we can’t be certain it’s fixed until we hear from you. So be sure to let us know! 🙂
Not quite sure what the Zero drop glitch is. But, I logged off last night with 1,190 gift cards and logged on this morning with only 550. I started tapping on the presents and they just constantly dropped. I was only receiving gift cards from the presents, no gift bags came out. My game crashed and when I restarted, everything was just the way I left it last night.
That is odd. Keep on eye on it to make sure nothing else was effected. Just in case you are missing items and need to contact EA. In the future, if your game ever seems to be missing items, data, etc. Log back out immediately and don’t play it. Restart your device. Then log back in. This should help avoid any time or game loss when a glitch hits. I hope this helps. 🙂
Here’s another weird glitch I noticed. Sometimes when I visited my neighbors (until the Christmas update) some of my neighbors still had ghost sounds regardless of whether or not that neighbor had updated to the Thanksgiving or Halloween update or neither. It sound weird.
I’ve heard that too. Makes me giggle a bit. Remnants coming through. Lol
i have one neighbor like this everytime i go to his land i hear the gremlins, however, his/her land has been unchanged since the middle of the halloween contest
I’ve had a different problem but I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not. I can only play the game for up to 20 seconds at a time before the game crashes and I have to click on the game icon to get it to restart or it sends me to the title screen. I can’t visit neighbors because I get taken to the starting page again. I’ve lost gift card, cash, and xp because the game does this just after i click so it doesn’t count it even though it shows the building, character has been clicked on. I want to play. I really hope they fix it. I’ve tried erasing and re-installing the game and using my 4G and several different types of Wifi with the same results. If anyone has any ideas I’d be grateful.
Sorry you’re having this issue. I know for me on my GS4 a TON of memory is required for this game. An insane amount. Lol. I moved my game to my external mini SD card (32gb). It seemed to help my game go more smoothly. Also, I noticed mass amounts of items in my town multiplied by extra animations with the event didn’t help either. So I started storing a bunch of unnecessary decorations and buildings. This not only helped me go in n out of my game quicker, but allowed my neighbors to finally access my town without it crashing on them too.
Beyond trying those methods…If you still have issues even after basic troubleshooting, it may be time to contact EA. Hope that helps. 🙂

Hi Team, has anyone checked if you leave the spin token at the Egg Nog Bar for another happy tapper to tap if we get multiples similar to the Squidport tile? I have tapped twice on one of my friends over the last two days and have now left one for my friends to tap (as difficult as that is to do) as I am curious about the potential result.
I’ve heard this theory but as far as I’ve seen, this is another hoax like the corn cheat. Tried to duplicate between me and my 3 family member’s towns but no dice.
Alissa and myself also checked this out with 4 different games on 4 different devices. We were unable to replicate it. Could be a glitch. Not sure if you are indeed taking your neighbor’s coin. Still looking into it.
The new update seems to have lowered the gift bag drops. Anyone else notice this?
I haven’t. Maybe neighbors are not leaving as much either?
I have the opposite, way too many gift bags and limited other towns to drop them in. Any other way to use them?
Have you maxed out your friends to 100?
I only have 42 friends. When I try to add more, it finds them, but says request cannot be sent. When I receive requests, I try to add them, but it says I am maxed out. 🙁 any suggestions? Also, any info on lvl 38 coming soon? (Hopefully!)
Sometimes the origin system is glitchy. The origin manager you can download tends to be much better than the in-game system. Info on that is in this post.

If it makes you feel better, 42 friends is a good number and very manageable. As for Level 38, absolutely no clue. It’s fairly safe to guess that on Jan 7th unless they extend this event, we’ll see something new.
Someone took my Springfield and I emailed ea about it but they have not gotten back with me in over a week ago. Is there any way to get in touch with an actual person from ea help?

Wouldn’t it be nice of EA if after the Christmas event, the little elves could be used to collect all off the money from your town? What a time saver that would be.
That would be amazing. I’m gonna hope EA reads this idea and runs with it.
My game has since stopped working after the latest update on my android phone. It will let me log in but the game wont start without crashing.
A lot of folks effected by this. Hoping it sorts itself out soon.

Just something that I noticed with the update:
When you clean up a friend’s graffiti, the mop animation is faster than before. Also, my game is currently glitch-free so no info there.

Just to clarify, on my springfield it shows I have 50 gifts to drop on my neighbors, but once I ‘m in my neighbors it says I have “0”gifts to drop.
I would still suggest contacting EA so they are aware of everyone still having issues. The update fixed a lot, but any problems still occurring should be brought to their attention.

Not working for me. Also I have no trophy icon and my character finder doesn’t work.
No gift bags since the beginning either.
So sorry. I would still suggest contacting EA so they are aware of those still with the issue. I know the update fixed a lot, but they do need to be made aware if others are still experiencing it.
Since that update, it looks like you can vandalize neighbors again (so much for that Christmas Spirit!).
Just noticed that the update counter has gone from 134 to 138. Does it mean EA is storing some added content?
Been going through the files, don’t see any changes as of yet. But we’ll keep you posted 🙂
I play TSTO via bluestacks on my PC. I have a little area in my Springfield, where I placed a lot of decorations, stop signs, trees and such, to max out my conformeter. Every time when I came near to this area, the game was flickering heavily with sort of a white flash.
Now, after the update I am not having any kinds of these troubles anymore. So I think they did a lot for the game stability. I am quite happy with this.

Well, unfortunately I have to take it back. The same performance problems occured today again. I don’t know why I haven’t had the problems yesterday. It was quite uncommon. So I thought it might be the update. Obiously I was wrong. Just wanted to clarify this up!
Ive had a lot of gifts drop but Im also a hardcore player, I play about 10 times/day. I did have severy texture glitches and it seems to take forever for my game to load. Im on android and havent received an update yet.
Hmm that’s odd I’m on Android too and that’s how I saw it.
I am stuck at too much of a good thing part 2. I completed the task and cant place elf house or continue tp part 3
Have you completed collecting 10 presents? Once that’s complete the next part of the task is to drop 3 gift bags in a neighbor’s town. After that Homer makes a snowman and Lisa makes snow angels. Have you tried seeing if Lisa has an exclamation over her?
🙁 Getting an error message when I try to add friends. “Failed to send friend invite. Please retry.” Haven’t gotten locked out of the game yet though.
I had the same error several times during the Halloween event. If I came back later and tried again, I usually had success getting the friend invite through. It may simply be server traffic.
Hello everyone! Merry Christmas to all of you tappers! After the recent update, I am experiencing the following problem: it seems that I cannot see the friend requests or anything from the origin menu. And when I tap the “add friends” button it says that the origin server could not be reached at the moment. Any ideas or is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Yes, ongoing issues with Origin at this time while they are still resolving the fix. I also wonder if the major rush of more players able to get on now is causing a back log.
I haven’t logged out of my game since this event started so I can get into it, but after the most recent update Origin has not been available plus I also lost one of my newest & most generous neighbors. UGGGH!
Happy to report that the fix is in on my issue!
Gifts laying all over Springfield and the quest lines are back on track.

In the grand scheme of things a couple day set back isn’t gonna hurt me that much in the tasks and personal prizes as much as I tap every day!

I’m really excited about this event now. Especially now that I see the Yes! Guy is a community prize. Probably my favorite relatively obscure reoccurring character on the show.
If a future update includes Señor Ding Dong this will be the best game ever. There is literally no way they ever run out of added content for us.

Can anyone tell me why They won’t let me buy moe’s tavern? I started the mission before I was level 15, but when I got to level 15 it said I didn’t start it. It won’t auto start and I need Marge and moe
Give it some time. There is a difference in XP level play vs Game Play. Just because you reach level 15 does not mean you have completed all the necessary tasks to open that particular building. Just keep playing. You will get there. 🙂
Just double check you are complete with all the prior tasks leading up to it too.

hey is anyone having the same problem as I do, after an update all my town was blown up and the game wont let me log in… I was on 37lvl 🙁
Is it a server issue that’s not letting you in the game? (are you seeing Bart?) If that’s the case a few others are reporting this as well, although I can’t duplicate it on my end. Try a few trouble shoot methods first, back out of the game and hard close the app then try restarting it. If that doesn’t work try the steps outlined in this post about the servers being down. Hopefully that helps! 🙂
Hey fellow addicts! I got the mini in-game update and now I can’t log in to the game at all (or at best I can be logged in for about 5 seconds before I get booted to the Bart screen). This wasn’t happening today before the update. Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions on hand? Happy Holidays!

I haven’t had an issue with that glitch HOWEVER since this in game update, I haven’t been able to connect to the server. Super annoying.
