Ok… I know it is completely melodramatic to misquote Shakespeare to make my point, but it seemed like a great segway into today’s 2D Tuesday post.
Winter has come to Springfield. With the vast blanket of white and programming tweaks to decorations came some changes for all the tappers who like to creat art in their towns. Just check out what Old Man Winter did to Bunny’s Werewolf Flanders if you need proof.
Bunny here from a remote undisclosed location. (SHHHHHH This time I really AM on vacation…just missed you all).
This week we’ve been anxiously awaiting the white stuff to make an appearance in our towns. Are you ready for it? WINTER IS COMING SOON!!!
In the meantime, let’s look back at the amazing work by our team of writers…

Note from Alissa: Hey Howdy Hey Tappers….well it’s still Thanksgiving in Springfield. While we play the waiting game with EA and see if they actually release Christmas today…or another day…enjoy this 2D how-to from Wookiee! As soon as we have any news on an update we’ll pass it right along to you!
Hey there Addicts! This week it’s my turn for a little 2D creativity and this one was inspired by comments from the readers. Bunny showed y’all a bit of her uber nerdness in a beautiful display of her 2Ds. At the end, she asked what the readers would like to see. Quite a few folks mentioned Futurama stuff and with that in mind, off I went to find an image of MY favorite character. Continue reading
Hehehehe…I fed them all LOTS n LOTS of turkey…now they are all knocked out in deep Turkey Tryptophan comas. Shhhh.
WOOHOO! The Bunny is FREE!!! Now, what devious lil things can I do? Hmmm. I will change this…add a lil more to that…move this over here…and VOILA! They’ll never even notice. Hehehehe.
While I am here, I might as well recap the week….more for me mind you. I have been away in Hawaii…ummm…I mean sick **cough cough**, so missed a bunch of posts too. So, what happened? OH, I am supposed to tell YOU?! Ummm…hmmm. Wow, there wasn’t much going on this week, was there? Probably because awesome lil me wasn’t writing. 😛 Just Kidding. Let’s dive in.

Well hello there readers. Having a fun week yet? Trying to figure out who’s gonna have the best feast for Turkey Day so you can crash the party? Or are you already going through the sales ads, planning what stores are going to have the biggest sales? Gotta get that big TV? New clothes? Xmas gifts?
Did you all miss me? NO?! Oh…fine then. 😛
I started making 2D art in my town from being inspired by the cool and different things I saw in other neighbors during the Whacking Day Event in May when I started. I loved the thought of creating and designing one of a kind things to make my town stand out from the rest.
Here I am months later, still enjoying the creative process of challenging myself to make something recognizable out of silly items like mailboxes, stop signs, and dumpsters. Makes me giggle just saying that. Now though, I am more wanting to help and hope to inspire others to start on their own creative path. I LOVE seeing art from all my neighbors. Watching them learn and grow just like I did. Love seeing designs come to life within their towns.

Wow, what a crazy week huh? We saw the last of the Halloween Event roll on out, all the limited time items removed, and now it is shining bright outside with a new level, 37. Miss anything? Trying to catch up? Well Bunny here again, running crazy and free out of the basement still (Shhhhhh…no one has to know), bringing you another Weekend Update.
Happy 2D Tuesday Addicterinos!
Bunny and I have written a lot of words about how we make our 2D creations. Thought I would mix it up a little this week and just show the different decorations which can be used for various colors.
While this list is not all inclusive, it is most of the decorations we use to make our art. I think I can speak for Bunny and I when I say we seriously want EA to come out with even more simple decorations of different colors to expand the art we can make.
I wanted to keep this post short but also wanted to show off all the cool Halloween-inspired 2D that was done this event as well as some of the decorations used in each.
Here are mine:
And here are the amazing 2Ds from the beautiful and talented Bunny:
Well, I hope everyone’s week has started well and continues on strong to the weekend! Maybe this will spark a couple more ideas for any one interested in creating some 2D art in their own town. Y’all stay classy… Wookiee out!
